But they can't buy a beer or rent a car........probably a good reason for both.

And current brain research shows that the frontal cortex of the brain is not completely mylenized until about age 24. That part of the brain governs critical thinking, executive functioning and decision making.

In fact, the brain of the 6-12 year old is in a much more 'stable' state than that of an adolescent. Once adolescent chemical changes meet the underdeveloped frontal cortex.....well, yeah, teenagers.

Not that all teens are incapable of rational thought, but generally speaking, well, if you have a teenager, it will remind you of the toddler years.

"Um did you REALLY think shaving your head was a good idea?"
"Well, I know you were angry, but could you have thought of a better way to express that than calling him a ?@$&&?# ?"

Not excusing criminal behavior. But am explaining that an 18 year old is not an adult, developmentally speaking. And also that on these very boards I have read posts positing that minor perps must have "had to have been victims, themselves".

Hannah Anderson comes to mind. Super sketchy stuff there (IMO and not just MO) and yet she was a pretty, popular cheerleader and as such, given a huge pass. And called a victim in MSM and everywhere other than comments from real people who smelled a rat.

Even young killers who without a doubt are guilty of the crimes they stand accused of.....I read post after post speculating about abuse or sexual abuse or brain injury or medication use or wrestling injury.

I read no such posts in defense of this young man. None. He committed a crime, yes. Not murder. Not rape. Not baby rape. Not killing his mother and little brother. I understand what Officer Wilson did. What I do not understand is why, with all the looking for "answers" we do on here regarding other young offenders, we are content to just assume MB needs none of this consideration.

Where is the discussion as to "why?" for Michael Brown? Why is this 18-year-old just a 🤬🤬🤬🤬?

Guilty is guilty. But to search for explanations for some, while just treating others as "here comes another one"?

That, I do not understand.
I remember the thread you referenced last night that used these excuses, and I was right there with you. I had to leave the thread to save my sanity (and status. LOL ) .

The bottom line is, you and I were right. :D Those things aren't legitimate excuses.

But I'm also not cool with using them to sidetrack the evaluation of THIS case, no matter how frustrating it was or is.

By definition, an "altercation" is a verbal, not physical, dispute.
I have a tab open all the time for the thesarus and dictionary. :seeya:

PLus, I think they want to get rid of the name 'Big Mike.' That brings too much attention to his size.

DING DING DING - you win the prize. I believe that is the case right there. It is incredibly hard to follow this case and seek the truth with so very much spin going on.

I don't like this guy on Argus radio live feed. There is a lady there supporting Officer Wilson and he says, "She is OBVIOUSLY here to agitate the crowd"

I guess he is a mind reader.

Anyone have another link for live feed? His is good quality but he's too biased for my liking. Ah, maybe I'll just wait for Tim.

I like @Timcast Tim Pool on VICE news because Tim does not give his opinion. He just livestreams and states what is happening.

Does anyone here have a twitter account? Possibly tweet megyn Kelly and try and get the info posted?

I know she puts up vids the following day.

I did not mean any disrespect. My uncle served in Korea and Vietnam, and was given the option to serve as opposed to doing jail time. He served in the Army, Navy (stationed near KC when he met my aunt), and Marines. He survived 2 helicopter crashes in Vietnam and was the only survivor in one. I read the press reports in the AP or UPI. He served lastly in the Marines, so I assumed the Marines had the same option, but I must be wrong. I appreciate your input.

He was a year under the legal age for entering, even with parental consent. I think the original officer wrote down the wrong year of birth. His dad wanted him out of the house, jail or military, so bad he wouldn't correct the mistake. His dad was a real piece of work according the stories my uncle told me.

The Draft is a terrible peace time solution. The military is not right for everyone as my uncle told me countless times. He thought it would kill me, figuratively.

I had a friend that was an army ranger. He had a son, I found to be very similar to me in temperament at the same age. The father told me he wanted him to join the military to get his act together. As mildly as possible, I told him I thought that was maybe not a good idea, because I didn't think it was a good fit. Since, I had never served in the military, I was never real strong about voicing my concern. I wasn't the boy's father. The boy ended up committing suicide soon after he came out basic training. I am not blaming the military (the mother did and tried to get a criminal investigation), but I can't think it helped.

I'm not aware of any Navy base in the Kansas City area. The largest body of water is the Missouri River.

The draft still required a physical and did have exemptions from the service for those with physical or mental disorders. The military doesn't cause suicide. What military service instills is discipline and understanding and that there is no "I" in team. Most young men learned that from their fathers back then and, if they didn't then their military service reinforced it. Today, we have rudderless young people disrupting an entire community with violence and endangering the lives of everybody.

I have to ask. Who is paying for all these attorneys? ALL these people have attorneys. And I know most of them cannot afford them. Is it pro bono or ACLU or what?

I guess she never read the Warren Report.

 when that wound was first described, not by Baden, but someone else was trying to say it, I thought ....and we've got another magic bullet!!!

I guess it does happen though.

Haven't read about attorneys, but I did read that Dr Baden's waived his usual $10, 000 fee.
