Found Deceased MO - John Forsyth, 49, doctor, Mercy ER Clinic, Cassville, 21 May 2023 *car found* #2

Has anyone checked any other State records? Generally, probate is filed in the state where the decedent owned property. I was under the impression he did not own property in Missouri at the time.

First, I have not tried checking probate records of other states.

@PrairieWind, one of our verified atty's, posted this* (which, FWIW, is consistent w my understanding about where probate is generally filed and about ancillary probate in other states):
".... Typically a probate is filed where the deceased resided. If he owned property in other states, there would maybe need to be an ancillary probate in those areas...."

IDK if, at the time of his death, JF owned real property ---held in his own name* --- in Missouri or other states, or other countries.

Posting a lot about possible probate & succession issues, but JF's actions or inactions preceding his death may be enlightening as to Manner of Death. Or maybe not, IDK.

So many unknowns.

** In JF's own name, i.e., w his name appearing as an owner on a deed.
As a member of ONFO, LLC., JF may have had an indirect ownership interest in a piece of MO. real estate iiuc; that indirect ownership interest in the real estate itself would not be an asset of JF's probate estate, iiuc.

Again, welcoming correction or clarification.

Lawrence County property website shows ONFO still owning the property in Aurora. Wasn't that the only real estate we found connected to John?

@Chelly Thanks for your post and agreeing that LE may still be wading thru digital evd.

I'm trying to recall how LE described the investigation.

Initially when MO LE were involved, this was a MisPers case.
Then after JF's remains were recovered, IIRC, LE in AR referred to case as a DEATH investigation (not necessarily a homicide investigation).

Imo that leaves open the possibility of investigating as homicide OR suicide.
My recall may be faulty, so just imo.

I agree completely. I think his personal life and the stress of it, had everything to do with his death.

I never thought it was suicide, mostly because of the distance between his last sighting and where his body was found. But now I'm not so sure. He had a lot going on his life - women, kids and long working hours. Maybe it all got too much.

They should be able to, really. I think they're stalling or they really are so incompetent that it takes that long for any death investigation.

I think they could be stalling as well --- hopefully building an airtight case on someone.

I believe you are right. No hard evidence of foul play, but nothing concrete enough to rule suicide, either. I bet that is what is going on. But I hope jellybean is right instead of me, and that LE is building an airtight case.

It took months to find out it was suicide on the Debbie Collier case. It's hard to say the direction this case is headed.

I hope I'm wrong but I'm feeling like the Alan White case. He was found more than two years ago and they have not released autopsy, manner of death, cause of death, etc. anything.

I can only hope or believe that they know a lot and are building a case behind the scenes..

Yes, the Alan White case is very sad. It's unusual but it happens.

The Benton Co., AR ME is still awaiting toxicology results. They claim to know the type and brand of weapon used, along with ammo. LE is still investigating all possibilities.

20/20 is working on a “documentary”. I assume that means they’re planning to film an episode of the show.

Family has considered hiring a private investigator.

Richard says he has never actually seen the video or photos from it showing Richard at the water park in Cassville Prior to disappearing. Richard said the kidnapping event that happened the previous year was related to cryptocurrency.

The delay in releasing the autopsy results to the family is due to wait for toxicology. The family doesn’t know anything else. Cassville police have been very helpful, working hard on the investigation.

Family has been trying to cope with it in their own ways. Richards kids are all grieving.

Many of us have already watched all of the ONFO youtube videos bc that's what we do so they can be analyzed if need be. Dr John, like some other mathematical geniuses, he was ahead of his time.

I didn't realize that Richard had not seen any cctv or any video of his brother the day he went missing until I listened to the last podcast. Guess I always assumed Richard saw it and was shown it by LEO, because he so aptly describes Dr John's actions that day.
