They also said on Fox.....why would someone try to go through a window when the front door was unlocked.

They maybe didn't know the door was unlocked? Even if the door was locked, I would imagine entering the window empty handed and walking out the door carrying a baby would be a possibility. I can't imagine going out that window with a baby would be easy. You never know though.

I don't know if this has been answered yet and I only have a minute right now. The 'BIG NEWS' is only that they went to a former jobsite of dad's and looked around. Found nothing. End of story. At least they are checking out virtually everything.

But wouldn't you think LE would have done this like day 1 or 2?

I need to go check the scanner thread to see if the wonderful scanner peeps have done a rewind for that night.

The scanner was offline so no rewind available...................ugh

"A friend of mine who lives in the neighborhood called police last night to report "blood curddling screams" coming from the woods. The police told her it was too dark to investigate. Apparently other neighbors heard the same thing and called 911 as well with no response. What's the problem with this picture? They shoudl have investigated."

ok I found it on the 1st thread. I thought it had more msm behind it. I don't know what to think of it and I really want a time to the screams.

Fox news just said 'things are not adding up for the police'. They will go back to focusing on the parents.

It would be good to ignore that report....I just heard it and he had at least a half dozen or MORE inaccurate and flat out WRONG statements. One of which was that LE was not able to get into the window without being lifted into it..... of which there is photo and video evidence that proves that to be untrue.

Are you sure you dont have this case confused with the Holly bobo case ? Where a neighbor heard screams?

I have not seen it in this case but I havent read everypost.

When this case first broke, it was reported that neighbors heard "blood curdling screams coming from the woods behind the home" but it was later determined to be false, and just a rumor.

Richard Ricci was an ex con. But he was arrested for telling the truth without a lawyer present. As soon as he heard what it was about he admited to taking a t-shirt, a jar off seashells and a one hundred dollar bill. He wanted ot make sure the cops knew he wasn't the one so he opened his life and admitted all of this.

They violated his parole for drinking a beer and put him in solitary after he admitted stealing.

Again, not excusing this at all.

I'm not suggesting the cops shouldn't have torn his life inside out to see if he was the one but there was NOTHING that even indicated in the slightest he was involved.

The mechanic lied about Ricci taking his car from his shop. Total lie,
Neighbors lied to get warrants quashed.

So many people lied to benefit themselves just to point the finger at Ricci.

It was the most disgusting misuse of law enforcement I have ever seen.

There is so much more but please, not matter what Ricci did, it does not excuse the way he was treated and accused.

His head literally exploded (stroke) from the stress of the intense treatment he received in prison. They kept accusing him of taking Elizabeth. Again, there is more.

This was wrong on so many levels.

Sorry. Off topic. Let's get back to baby Lisa.

I'm not disputing that he was wrongly fingered for Elizabeth. That hurt not only RR and his wife, but the Smarts as well. But he was in jail for a legit crime. He was a seasone criminal who had not changed his ways. JMO, of course.

Wow, it does sound like that case. No, it's been talked about here from almost the beginning. I couldn't give you any details though.

For those who think the Mom was involved but not the Dad. The police said he has a solid alibi. How would she have had time to do anything. A neighbor and her children were there until 10:30 that night.

This is the first I've heard of a neighbor being there until 10:30. Is this confirmed, or just a rumour?

I am still unclear about that question, andalso.

I think I do remember hearing this in the beginning and they determined it was children playing ( I think that was this case but I'm not 100% sure).

They also said that it made a lot of noise going through the window.

LE can fib to the public. Chris Coleman comes to mind. Not a suspect, not a suspect, (when it was so very obvious he was responsible for killing his children and wife) then !! BAM !! he is arrested!

In some cases, LE won't publicly name a suspect until they slap the cuffs on them. In others they will call it very quickly. And sometimes they focus on one person for years and turns out they had nothing to do with it. Think Jaycee Dugard's stepdad. It all depends on the circumstances around the case and who is in charge and they usually have their reasons for it, whether it makes any sense to us or not. Sometimes they just fly by the seat of their pants and don't have a clue.
I hope in this case they know what they're doing.

Couldn't afford a divorce but CAN afford three cell phones? Curious.

Divorces cost a whole heckuva lot more than cell phones. You can get prepaid ones for $20. Never seen a divorce that cheap.

At the same time, police were called to Edwardsville, KS on a tip.

Detectives searched the wooded area where it went into the Kansas River.

Police said they received information that it is where baby Lisa's father had a job recently; they left empty-handed.

The neighbor who saw the baby at midnight, his wife said it was a chilly night so he thought it was unusual to see a baby only in a diaper. So, IMO, would have been no need for the AC to be on.

I have mine turned to fan at night just because I am so used to the noise I can't sleep without it. Our weather has been like that in KC, i'm maybe 3 1/2-4 hrs from there.

If it was a kidnapping, my theory is two perps. Like others have said, one tried the windows & one tried the door. When the door opened, he/she called the other. They had been stalking the family, possibly over facebook and knew dad was working that night. They grabbed the phones in case the mother woke up, they knew she could be over-powered but didn't want a 911 call. I still have hope that Lisa is alive and being cared for.

Another theory: Mom is planning a divorce and hired someone to take the baby because she knew dad would fight for custody. I don't see how she could pull it off but maybe she was planning to change her name and move far away.
