For those who think the Mom was involved but not the Dad. The police said he has a solid alibi. How would she have had time to do anything. A neighbor and her children were there until 10:30 that night.

I suppose there is an argument to be made she left the two boys and took lisa's body somewhere, but it makes no sense to me. Not with a dumpster fire, two possible outside perps (neighbor and handyman) and someone we may not have heard of yet.

Just the idea that she killed Lisa that first night dad works is to hinky for me. If there were signs of abuse or neglect then yeah it could make sense but otherwise..I doubt she would calmly sleep with her son after doing all that too and the chance of son waking up is huge.

eta if she was in and out and he was in her bed.

When this case first broke, it was reported that neighbors heard "blood curdling screams coming from the woods behind the home" but it was later determined to be false, and just a rumor.

All of these rumors and conflicting stories are frustrating. LE did say they was nothing to it, but I read that the person who said it in the first place was never questioned by police.

I can't believe this baby is still missing. I really thought this case would be solved rather quickly. I'm still giving the parents the benefit of the doubt but a lot of things are starting to bother me. Mainly the lack of evidence in the home vs the lights being on. The lack of evidence of a stranger being in the home would suggest someone experienced (either LE background or criminal background) but the turning on of the lights seems to suggest just the opposite.
I still believe this had to be someone that knows the family, their home and their habits. It also still feels so personal to me but as the days pass you would think that all the people that fall in those categories would have been thoroughly investiagated and ruled out so I just don't know anymore.
All I do know is that this darling baby is missing and she needs to be found now. If she is still alive she could be anywhere by now and that really saddens me.

Former FBI agent (and others) claim it is very unusual for LE to make public statement that "patents are uncooperative." I agree with those who feel like parents are "acting" waffling, giving obtuse answers, and not very visible to media. This makes ask:

Could LE have known early on that parents are not involved and are setting up with the parents to pretend conflict and estrangement in order to pursue a corse of action that might bring to light or instill false confidence in the real abductor? That feels more plausible to me than another Susan Smith scenario.

Not likely. There are other ways to make the real perp feel confident. They could just say they have no idea, no suspects, no leads to go on. Why pretend to target the parents? That seems totally unnecessary to me but I suppose anything is possible.

This is the first I've heard of a neighbor being there until 10:30. Is this confirmed, or just a rumour?

I thought the mother said a friend and her children came over to watch a family movie and then she went to bed shortly afterward, which was 10:30. If that is wrong, someone please correct me.

These pictures were taken right after investigators arrived at the home the first morning - picture of the front of the house and the computer room window as it was. See Floor plan in siggny line below for comparison. Note the bird house in the pictures to identify this window is on the front of the house.

Not sure, but do believe that the computer room window picture shows the bent and distorted screen.

ETA: Added antoher picture as well

Could the reason there aren't many clues is because someone really took this baby?

this case? where's the link . . . my understanding is Deborah went to bed at 1030p - have never seen that the neighbor was there that late It has been vetted the neighbor was at Lisa's house the day before she was reported missing by her parents (dad used work cell phone he had in his pocket).

Link, please, regarding how long the neighbor was there (watching a movie?) - Thanks!

Are you sure you dont have this case confused with the Holly bobo case ? Where a neighbor heard screams?

I have not seen it in this case but I havent read everypost.

The comment about a neighbor hearing and reporting screams was one comment on one article very early in the case (perhaps the first day). To the best of my knowledge it was never reported on by MSM nor was it ever verified. The comment was even wrote second or third hand. I remember reading it after it was reported back here but I never gave much thought to it because it ended there with the reporter (?) asking the writer to have his/her friend contact them.

Ha Ha! No it's not! Johnson county is more like Beverly Hills dropped into the middle of the midwest :)
Ok I really can't resist this one. Fun Fact.... at one point I read a report that of the entire 5 county Kansas City Metro area, 3/4 of all the bounced checks came from Johnson County, KS. I see a lot of people there that SEEM to have a great house, car(s), boats, etc, but in reality all a lot of them have is a lot of bills! I think I am quite happy with my simple, mostly paid-for life and not having to be worrying about everything getting repossessed.

Divorces cost a whole heckuva lot more than cell phones. You can get prepaid ones for $20. Never seen a divorce that cheap.

imo. Birthing/raising a baby cost more than the divorce & phones..just saying. The divorce was/is not a priority. Sadly none of it matters now.

Does anyone know if the computer from the home was seized?

I'd also like to hear the dad's 911 call.

Amen in re: Johnson Co. We had a bit of fun with the Johnson v. Wyandotte ethic last night.

It was in a comment at the bottom of a live news blog and the news blogger asked the person to have their friend (who heard the screams) to contact them and then nothing was rever reported after that in MSM or otherwise.

Has it really been determined false? I think that's still an open question until 911 call logs have been reviewed. There was no one dispatched to investigate, at least per the rumor you mention. So there would be no scanner record.

I've changed my mind at least a hundred times about who is responsible for Lisa missing. I've thought about those cases where someone has been wrongly accused when there's a lack of clear evidence for LE to follow. I don't want to be guilty of that so I'm just going to stay perched on the fence.

Praying today that LE find the evidence they need or get that vital tip which will bring Lisa home. Praying for Lisa that she is safe, healthy & will soon be home with her family.

Hopefully LE isn't limiting viable clues to only those that point towards the parents, almost sounds like they are.

First time poster here! (hope im doing this right) I just wanted to say that I find it totally normal for all the lights to b on. When my husband is gone and it's dark, I literally have on every light in the house. He gets mad about it, but it makes me feel a little more secure. Also, there have been several times that I have either woken up and unlocked the door or left it unlocked for him so that he wouldn't wake anyone by knocking or by fumbling at the door and alerting the dogs (which would also wake the whole house). Just sayin'. I don't see it as suspicious or odd.

Nothing has been reported in MSM that I could find, however, this picture that was taken on Wednesday looks to me like it is a laptop that is being carried out of the home by FBI.
