Its highly unlikely to be random, I agree, In da Middle. However, things like that do happen from time to time. Look at the killer of Stephanie Crowe - the odds against that being a random stranger were huge, and yet it was.

I think the sighting of the man with a baby on the road was around midnight.

Yep. Here it is:

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A woman who lives in the area where police believe a 10-month-old child was abducted said her husband saw a man carrying a baby early Tuesday morning, but didn’t think anything of it.

A neighbor, who later asked NBC Action News that she not be named, said her husband was coming home around 12 a.m. Tuesday when he saw the man carrying a baby wearing only a diaper.

Not closing a baby's door is a violation of every 4th grade fire safety lesson I ever got, not to mention my teen babysitting classes. Closing the door can be the difference between life and death in a fire.

IOW I always closed my baby's door. :) FWIW

Me too -- fire safety 101.

I was asking in an earlier post if anyone knew what time this alleged sighting of a person toting a baby on the road was. If it was around 2:30. Was it indeed approx 2:30?? Because if so, that is just WAY too coincidental - the dumpster fire so close by, a possible call/text from an involved cell, AND a sighting of someone carrying a baby down the road in the neighborhood - ALL RIGHT AROUND 2:30 AM - and on the very night Lisa goes missing?!?!

I thought that sighting was around midnight..... but maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

Closing a baby's bedroom door? Why? How would you hear the child crying if the door was closed? That makes no sense to me at all.

I always closed the door when mine were littles. Baby monitors were such a blessing.

Well....there's a certain vitriol in your statements! One would not think, to read them, that the above is the case. But I'll take your word. Interestingly, even though I try and defend the family whenever possible, I too, like you, am about 60/40 regarding family involvement.

If you detect vitriol in my statements it may be true. It makes me sick to think of people using a missing child as a money making venture. That turned me off right there. There is no good reason to go making deals with networks when your child is missing. If my child was missing I would be paying all the news outlets to run their story. If I wanted to offer a reward I would use my own money or borrow it. I would not be asking for money at this time. I have enough family/friends to help me financially to get me through any hardships I might have. The only help I would want from strangers is to keep looking for my child and spreading the word.
The lack of cooperation with LE is another sticking point but I would be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if money wasn't involved.

Which is why regulations against cribs with lowering sides still strikes me as counter-productive. One hazard, exchanged for another.

I used to fling myself out of the crib as a toddler. Which might explain a few things.
Seeing the crib on nightline, it looks low enough. The bumber in there makes it seem higher up.

Thanks but I stay away from the FB pages on these missing persons cases so if I read it, I read it in a MSM article.

I saw it on MSM and read it on MSM and cannot find it now - I really don't think I have gone totally batty but ya never know:crazy:

Was in MSM on Thursday ... will find the link and search till my eyes go numb as it may provide a timeline for when any independents outside of immediate family saw Lisa. Also may provide some insight into who was around Lisa just prior to her going missing.

If you look up the new family pictures, a link which I've posted several times, you will see there are pictures from Oct. 2nd, and was apparently some sort off family gathering. Whether or not it was a birthday party is not noted below the picture.

Agreed on the money-making. On an early Holly Bobo thread it was suggested that T-shirt sales proceeds were going into a personal-type fund, causing much negative comment amongst we posters there.

I guess I'm older than baby monitors. LOL Or I was too poor to have one. I always left the door partially open so that I could hear my baby. Even at Lisa's age.

There's a slideshow of photos here from the birthday party on Oct. 2nd

The FBI has offered rewards in other cases...not offering one here. Why not? Do they have almost everything they need to figure out what happened to Lisa?

We are going down the rabbit hole with the BD party folks. MSM is not following this alleged BD party. The FB is not of one of the players and thus not allowed under our Social Media policy..... Anyone can write anything on FB. FB is considered rumor here. So lets be careful about what is on that FB.

And I knew all that. Sorry!

It was around 2am.

"One neighbor interviewed said he had seen a man carrying a baby near the Irwin's home at 2 a.m. Tuesday, but police spokesman Darin Snapp told MSNBC that lead "went nowhere."

From: http://m.ibtimes.com/lisa-irwin-mis...ds-called-off-police-siblings-fbi-225781.html

Hmmm...well if it was at/around 2am that is close enough to 2:30 to seem suspicious. I wonder if it really 'went nowhere' or just being kept quiet for some reason. Thank you Kaylynn!!!

This link says the photos are from her brothers 8th birthday party.
