There was a case here recently that really made me think about how kids treat each other.
A popular boy, on school council, lots of friends, outgoing and a really good kid.
Well in confidence he told his best friend he was gay. I guess that best friend was anything but a friend. It spread around school. The child was bullied, stuffed in trash can, verbally abused and taunted. The whole nine yards.
Then of course on line the exact same thing. Degrading, demeaning horrible comments.
He was online with someone and told him what he was going to do. The person online told him "please, man, don't do, don't give up, don't do it".
His sister came home and found her 13 year old brother hanging from the upstairs railing.
The entire family is an emotional wreck, the mother will never enter the home again, she is near a breakdown. The daughter can't work, can't sleep, and is an emotional wreck.
The boy was only 13 and was destined to be successful, with straight A's and a great outlook on life.
This really upset me when I read the story.
