Lets sleuth Kidd and see what he has been up to all these years. I am now more willing to consider this is MORE than a family fued as it seems very unlikely that the ex wife would drag family friends in to this if the accusations were not true as she would really be setting herself up for some serious civil action suits.

So at this point I am starting to come off the fence a little more but we will see what happens.

Does our man Kidd have a family, wife, kids?

Whats he do for a living?

Burglary convictions, new & old. The last ones in 2007. It looks like his residence might actually be a rehab center.

Description: Unlawful Use Of Drug Paraphernalia { Misdemeanor A RSMo: 195.233 }
His address was in KCMO but the charge was in Boone County, home to Columbia Mo, where one of the brothers lived. 1992 would be one of the 'key' years.
Date: 08/20/1992 Code: 3250500 Disposition: Guilty Plea - 11/17/1992
OCN: 92055510

According to a Highway Patrol news statement, a press conference yesterday resulted in the discovery of more alleged victims.

The information on the arrest of the sixth man gave no time frame for the allegation, but the alleged victim was a little older that those vaguely described in the earlier charges as under 12.

Very well said and a lot to think about there.

Do you think people are born podophilles (foot fetish) or is this learned behavior, in other words can someone actually be born wired so that they get sexually aroused by feet or is did something occur in their developmental stages to trigger this behavior? The same goes for being aroused by children, while I am sure there are some cases where their brains may simply be wired that way I would suggest that such an urge is something that would be triggered by an event in the early stages of development.

Again I may be wrong but as a student of Scientology (not a Scientologist but a student of it) I have recently been reconsidering the idea that people are born this way.

I have an extremely close contact who works with civilly committed sex offenders. She says that not one of them feels that they have done anything wrong.

As with most criminals, they blame others for all of their issues. They take no responsibility for any actions of theirs. Whatever it is, it is always some else's fault.

Interestingly, she said that the ones she deals with have been emotionally abused rather than sexually abused in the past.

Whatever the circumstances, society MUST be protected from them. I would suggest that if you feel strongly about it, take an SO home with you and try to fix him or her.

There are plenty released to choose from.

Headline: Father Says Son Was Victim of Mohler Family
His ex-wife was Mohler Jr's 3rd wife and he finds out Mohler liked to sleep with his son. He gets an emergency court hearing to receive custody and nothing happens to Mohler. Father says he kept tabs on Mohler. What!!! That's it; he doesn't demand a full investigation at the time. I'm furious if I'm reading this correctly.

IMO, this is NO family feud or personal vendetta. I'm thinking child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 ring and I'm thinking there will be more arrests and victims.

So tragic.

There were a few reports to LE about the Mohlers. Maybe he did call LE and was told there wasn't enough evidence. He fought and won custody of his son and I think it was because of the abuse allegations. If so, I wonder why the court didn't push it ? All we can really do is speculate on this point so far.

Thanks Chicana. I'm sure there are more details and thankfully the father was able to have him removed from the house.

Police: Sixth person arrested in Missouri child sex abuse case November 12, 2009 -- Updated 1829 GMT (0229 HKT

Independence, Missouri (CNN) -- A sixth person was arrested Thursday on suspicion of child sexual abuse in an investigation that led to the arrest of five members of a Missouri family, and authorities found additional victims in the case, police said.

Larry Kidd, 55, of Kansas City, Missouri, is an "associate" of the Mohler family of Lafayette County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. Five members of the family were arrested earlier in the week after six alleged victims, who are relatives of the five initial suspects, came forward.

As a result of a news conference held Wednesday, the highway patrol said, "further information has been developed that has resulted in the identification of additional victims in the case."

Kidd faces charges of rape of a child of less than 14 years old, police said. He was arrested without incident in Jackson County, Missouri, and was being transported to the Lafayette County Jail on Thursday night

This is something I have given some real thought to.

What if every time I wanted to satisfy my sexual desire/proclivity, I had to hurt a sentient being? That's essentially what it is like to be a pedophile.

Now, I'd love to be a moral beacon and all and say with conviction, "If I knew that in order to satisfy my sexual desires, I had to hurt someone else, I just wouldn't satisfy my sexual desires!"

But frankly my own sexual history would reveal me as a liar. In the course of my life, I have hurt people in my desire to fulfill my sexual wishes/needs/etc...I'm probably not the only one.

More than likely, if - in order to satiate my sexual urges - another person had to be harmed, I would eventually develop a psychic mechanism that allowed me to feel okay about what I was doing. Whatever I would tell myself might sound insane to others, but I'm pretty sure I could sell it to myself. I'm deeply in touch with my own selfishness and my ability to compartmentalize.

Now, you speak of learning to control our sexual urges and I can relate to that too. I'm a 42-year-old female, married 13 years, two kids and happily monogamous. I've certainly learned to control my urges and to not act on the ones that might harm others. Or have I? Truth be told, I just don't really have any urges to step outside my comfortable box, so I'm not fighting to control anything.

But, if I were a 20 year old male who got turned on by toddlers, would I be able to control those urges? My history tells me that I would not.

So I feel empathy for pedophiles. Even as I would give my life to protect any child from being used sexually by an adult, I cannot loathe a pedophile.

Ok this is just wrong on so many levels... we are talking here about the difference between CONSENTING ADULTS and CHILD VICTIMS

Most of us learn self-control and self-sacrifice for others. And then there are those who prey on the weak and sacrifice others for self.

Please re-RE-consider. We are not speaking here of a harmless FETISH we are talking about people who LACK EMPATHY AND THE ABILITY TO CONSIDER THE TRAUMA AND DEVASTATING CONSEQUENCES THAT THE FAILURE TO CONTROL THEIR SICK SELFISH ACTIONS CAUSE IN A YOUNG CHILD'S LIFE.

Family: Mo. child sex abuse claims are 'repulsive'

LEXINGTON, Mo. (AP) - Family members of five men charged in a bizarre child sex abuse case reacted with disbelief and sadness Thursday to the "unspeakable" string of alleged atrocities spanning two decades. "It's unspeakable. I can't think of words that would put this in perspective. I find it repulsive if it's true," said Darrel Mohler, a brother of one of the five men charged.

Family: Mo. child sex abuse claims are `repulsive'
By DAVID TWIDDY and BILL DRAPER – 2 hours ago

LEXINGTON, Mo. — Family members of five men charged in a bizarre child sex abuse case reacted with disbelief and sadness Thursday to the "unspeakable" string of alleged atrocities spanning two decades.

"It's unspeakable. I can't think of words that would put this in perspective. I find it repulsive if it's true," said Darrel Mohler, a brother of one of the five men charged
________________________________________________________________________

Darrel Mohler, brother of Burrell Mohler Sr., said Thursday that he hasn't seen his brother for years and the two were never close. "I'm 72, and this kind of struck me right in the gut," he said.

Merrill Clark, 63, a cousin of Burrell Mohler Sr.'s, said he attended the men's hearing hoping to get a sense "of their guilt or innocence."

"But I went away not much better than I was before," said Clark, of Lenexa, Kan. "Burrell looks like a broken old man. ... His hearing aid wasn't turned up quite enough. He never looked at me."

Clark said he did, however, make eye contact with David Mohler.

"I wanted to cry, and he appeared to be about the same way," Clark said. "But again, was he glad to see me for support, or was he embarrassed to see me? I can't really believe it. But I know it could be true."

Clark said when he heard about the charges against the five men his "chin kind of hit the floor

Family: Mo. child sex abuse claims are `repulsive'

"It's 55 acres, so it's quite a bit of land," Lowe said. "We're still searching the area and doing lead follow-ups. We're getting substantial amount of leads that we need to track down and verify."

Alumbaugh earlier pleaded for the public's help, saying investigators "believe that there are other victims out there" and that the public can provide more information.

"The case has taken 100 turns since our last news conference," Alumbaugh said Thursday. He wouldn't discuss what, if anything, investigators have found on the property, except to say that authorities may have another suspect. He wouldn't elaborate

"Friend Reveals Abuse of Mohler Relative"

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – A former friend of the Mohler family said there is at least one victim police do not know about. He is hesitant to come forward. So, he shared her story with NBC Action News.

http://www.nbcactionnews.com/news/l...-Relative/h3sit3d_M0Ci9yMDJNxzCw.cspx?rss=764

This article refers to Roland Mohler and one of his alleged victims. The article states that the abuse had continued to occur up until a month ago. Roland is the brother that was the paramedic for Saline County Missouri. Why in heck would a person go to the media about concern for a friend rather than the police?

Another quote is particularly chilling. It sounds like the victims are terrified to come forward:

"His friend, who was allegedly abused for 16 years, is hesitant to speak out. She is waiting for a subpoena."

Would an EMT know how to do an abortion?

Maybe this was the previous report of sexual abuse we had heard about earlier in the thread. Cps could have a report and at this time I tend to think they had ,and it is part of what set up a time frame.IMO

I intended to post today, but all I could come up with is that I'm still on the fence. I know that sounds ridiculous, especially to those here that know my story...and I'm sorry.
I am not saying that I don't believe that something very bad happened.
I'm not saying that anyone is necessarily deliberately lying.

I'm just saying that I read the PC statement, and I watched the hearing and something isn't right.

I've been a victim and usually I side with an alleged victim every single time. But, there is something holding me back and I have no idea what it is.

I think everybody has heard the stories of how they CAN be done. So an EMT would definitly be at an advantage in preforming one verses a random person. And it still would be far from safer. Just they have the sterile tools and training to notice shock.
