I don't think they're done yet:

http://www.kansascity.com/115/story/1574307.html

"With a new accuser alleging more sexual atrocities were committed against the children of the Mohler family, 15 additional counts were filed Monday against five of the six men already in jail.

Lafayette County authorities last week charged six men in the family on 16 counts, alleging a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 of rape, sodomy and bestiality against children.

The latest filings include allegations that the new accuser was induced to have sexual contact with another minor. Some of the abuses allegedly occurred in a vacant house near the family’s property south of Bates City, Mo., as well as in the home."

This is just getting more and more bizarre. The daughters are saying they were forced to kill a man? Another woman comes forward and says she was kept for years in the crawl space?
Is this for real?

I guess I am not very good at sleuthing, I tried to check for missing persons in Missouri from 1988 but can't find anything. I am sure there must be a place that has records from that far back, so hopefully someone more skilled than I am will try to find info. on this.

Ok...having a little more success on this, here is a VERY VERY strange disappearance of a young man from Kansas in April of 1988.......the area he was last seen in is within an hour or less drive from Independence, Missouri. The dates match, as does the height description for the person the girls described. His weight was 220, but then again, the 300 pound estimate stated by the girls makes little sense anyway in terms of forcing someone that size into a car by one man and three young girls.......

Found the name and general info on a Kansas Crime stoppers site first, and then searched the name from there and got some very strange websites plus the usual news reports etc.

from the 'buried baby' link ( http://www.kctv5.com/news/21633549/detail.html)

<snip>

A radar showed that a box-like object was buried underneath the basement floor. The home is no longer owned by Burrell E. Mohler Sr.

If there's a baby in that box, these men are toast.

The poor kids -- having to grow up like this in that house of horrors! Knowing there's no safe place because all the men in the family are involved....explains to me why they didn't tell -- especially after the Indy man was killed. <shudder>

IMO, these stories do not sound like they are fabricated - I don't know that Steven King could make this stuff up.

Sorry....I added the link above, I didn't notice it wasn't in the first post.......

I beleive that this will expand to other states, possibly kids that moved out of state that now come forward. I also beleive that it is an organized ring.

Ladybass -- your prediction is chilling in light of today's news. :shocked2:

I don't know what's going on, but I hope they come up with some concrete evidence soon. I would hope if they are all guilty that they can prove it. I would also hope that if they are not, that someone figures out what the hell is going on.

If police alleges there is a body in the basement, one would think nothing should be more simple than digging up the basement and getting the body out.
And if 300 pound man went missing, one would think somebody would have noticed.

From:
http://www.kctv5.com/news/21636854/detail.html

"A document with the search warrant said that investigators found a glass fragment, an unknown type of bone, a credit card, eye glasses, a shoe or boot sole and a broken glass jar during digging done on the property on Nov. 10."
****************************************************

OT - but my computer is acting funny. And what is with the times on here? They are about an hour ahead of me, and I've never noticed that before. Am I just becoming more observant or did something change??

My issue with Randy Leach is that they never found his car and the time of day. From the story the girls are telling, they abducted him from the driveway, and I figure that if he came home, the car would still be in their driveway or the driveway at the party. The link says they never found his car. Mohler would have had to go back and take the car and dispose of it, if he even knew where it was left, does any of that make any sense? Plus, he was seen at the party, late at night. Guess if the girls could remember if it was day or night when this occured it could narrow it down.

I sure hope they have their ducks in a row about this...

None of the women would notice a woman being held in the basement??? A link I saw said the kids knew about her but didn't know who she was.

Thank for the suggestion, except the settings are correct. And it is set to automatically change for DST. :waitasec:

And why didn't this woman report being held in the basement up until now?
I really wonder what kind of accusations will come next.

With as many men as were supposedly involved, it would not be hard at all to send someone back after the car, as they would have the man's keys, wallet etc. The whole thing doesn't really make sense for it being this kid, because of all the other "weird" things about his disappearance. But then again, if he went to a friends house after the party, he could have been anywhere in the area the next day or so. Still, if the story is even remotely true, there should be a missing person SOMEWHERE who matches up. With all of the trauma these girls would have experienced, even remembering that it was April of 1988 is pretty amazing, if it is true.

FWIW, the woman reported being held in a crawl space -- to me that's not the same as a basement.

(emphasis mine)

Also on Monday, KCTV5 obtained another search warrant saying a girl, now a woman who came forward after hearing the initial reports of the Mohler's being charged, reported being held captive in a crawl space in Moher Sr.'s house for years. The woman reported she was sexually abused by all five Mohler men and got pregnant twice and one of babies was buried in the basement and then the basement was paved over.

http://www.kctv5.com/news/21636854/detail.html

When I think of other cases, where kids were held in basements for years & no one noticed, this does seem possible...they haven't released details of how she was confined in a crawlspace (gagged & bound, in a box, or whatever other sadistic methods are used to confine).

LE & DA keeps moving forward, so it seems they must believe they have enough evidence to support their charges...I don't think we're getting many details....and undecided how much I really want to know...this is sickening.

For what purpose would someone ask three little girls to kill a grown and pretty large man?
This was supposedly years ago so the girls would be little.
How would that be physically possible, anything else aside?
