Has there been any new leads? Are they any closer to finding out who she is?

It looks like her NamUs case file(https://identifyus.org/en/cases/3199) was recently updated (on May 13, 2015). Rule outs are now listed as Sharaun Cole, Shaunda Green, Toya Hill, Sheila Quinn, and an unidentified female from Northampton County, NC. The circumstances are now described as --

Young female found in basement of a vacant building. Estimated age is between 8 and 11 years old.

I was really hoping and praying they would have and still can get some new leads from the isotope testing done on her.

I'm on my cell; having issues loading the thread due to the ads. Can someone do a google search to see if there's an article on the isotope testing?

It would be great if someone could send in the tip for Telethia to the St. Louis M/E. I don't know if she quite fits the Jane Doe's description because she'd be slightly out of the age range and was native to New England instead of the South. It certainly wouldn't hurt to send it in.

cropped for skin tone

What does everyone think of Teletha's skin tone? I say someone turn it in

I have always thought Talethia Good was a good match for this Jane Doe.But I never turned her in.I believe Ambercat mentioned Talethia Good as a possible match to her first here.I just want to push it more and have her checked.I feel it's a very good match.

I wouldn't rule anybody out based only on apparent skin tone in a photo. Lighting and camera angle can make a huge difference, not to mention sun exposure, age of the film and how it was stored, etc.

Sorry CB; I wouldn't either; was just curious. Teletha's pic seems aged to me

And possibly how the person died and decomposed might also influence the hue.

I'm sorry -- I didn't mean to come on all know-it-all. Just meant to give an observation. Yeah, Teletha's picture looks like an old school photo, and they sometimes discolor with age.

I mentioned her in passing (to NamUs) when I tried to add her to NamUs back in 2012(it turns out that she was already in NamUs but not published). At the time, there seemed sort of unclear. I was told (about Telethia Good) --

NCMEC could not work on the case because we have no investigating agency however I am hopeful that I will find family at some point. I even tracked down a retired detective who recalled the case and that is was not resolved however the PD cannot locate the file and without a family member that is advocating for her I am stuck without an agency.

I'm not really sure if they looked at her.

I find the dump site REALLY odd. I imagined Clemens Ave to be somewhere downtown, like North St.Louis, but Clemens Ave is in Kirkwood. Kirkwood is not really a place where someone would think to dump a body, it's a nicer area. It's also a decent distance from the city, and I can't think why someone just driving through would stop in Kirkwood as apposed to finding a dumping place in the city. It is off of highway 40, which goes a long way, but it still seems very odd.

I've often thought that, too. If I remember right, that area was old & abandoned & "rough" at that time. It has since been revitalized. But, it still isn't "downtown STL" like you would expect.

Really? I don't know really, but my parents don't remember Kirkwood ever being very rough, though they said some parts arn't as nice as others (they moved here in '89) either way I don't see why someone would pass up downtown where every other building is abandoned, and go to kirkwood if they didn't have some previous sort of connection.

From research I've done, that area was blighted at that time, with abandoned buildings. Somewhere up thread, locals have posted that the area was kind of a dividing line between a "good" area & a "not so good" area. I find this interesting:

"DNA testing confirmed the profile St. Louis experts already had, but the mineral tests, or stable isotope analysis, revealed the child probably spent most of, if not all of, her life in one of 10 southeastern states: Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee and the Carolinas."

Snipped. Full article: http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/...cle_36de5a5c-b615-5292-b5aa-abb99a888a6c.html

I've thought for a long time that somehow that little girl made it to STL shortly before her death. LE was pretty thorough investigating in and around the STL area. My theory is that this little girl' parent(s) died and she was awarded to her next of kin (bio dad, older brother, uncle, etc) and that person is the perp. Nobody from her home area would know she was missing and nobody in STL would realize she was there to miss her.

Thoughts?

I'm also a local, born and raised :) as far as I know, the area by the highschool (near where she was found) has always been rather nice. from what I know it may have had it's share of abandonment but, was better then other surrounding area's like Valley Park. That's at least how it is now.

I don't know about that theory, but maybe. I've always thought she was kidnapped from the coast and then dumped in St.Louis

Here's a photo of the abandoned apartment building where/when she was discovered. There is some locals who have posted up thread with more about the area from their perspective
