I'd like to defend KC as well. I've lived here for close to 7 years, and while there are high amounts of crime in certain areas, that's to be expected in a city. We have gangs and bad people just like everywhere else. The skeletal remains found in Holt I wouldn't really consider the KC area unless its later confirmed the person was murdered/kidnapped in KC and then moved. Holt isn't even considered a part of the metro. I grew up 75 miles north of KC in a rural town, and murder happens in places like that too. 50-60 miles is pretty far outside of KC IMO. Hoping the family of whoever's remains were found can find some peace.

KC Crimefighter has posted that a $5k anonymous donation has been offered, contingent upon a matching donation from the 🤬🤬🤬 account. Maybe that will get the ball rolling.

I thought discussion of that person, and what they say was off limits here?

Is her boyfriend being proactive in trying to find her, or has he dropped out of sight ? I haven't heard much about him lately.

Appears to have dropped out of sight and handed the reins to someone called Jared Morton.

Has anyone done a timeline on post-disappearance comments/actions by families and LE? I'll try to find it, but I recall a point about a week or 10 days into the case when LE and the Anderson's went one direction and the Sanchez's went another.

I love KC. It's an awesome city. The area where Toni lived is so much fun and they've done a great job developing all of it. I always go to concerts up in KC and have weekends away there. It's my favorite city to visit in the Midwest. Went up there and saw Porter Robinson and Madeon awhile back and it was an amazing show. Heck, Toni may have even been at that show. Anyway, KC is a great place and lots of fun. And when I was walking back from the shows to my hotel, I didn't feel unsafe.

Honestly, it really makes me sad because I could've seen Toni at any number of shows. It's really sobering.

Probably on advisement of his father/friends/LE. Which is smart, IMO.

The latest update is that once again there is no update. This case really seems to be going cold.

Josh's comment about the FBI is probably in response to a source on the #MissingToniAnderson group claiming that the FBI was getting involved. I cannot stress enough that not a single thing posted in that group should be taken as fact.

So here's a thought. Maybe they're suspecting suicide? People craft their personas online... but that doesn't mean that they aren't depressed or thinking of these things. Could she have left signs that it was suicide and no one is talking about it?

I'm not ruling it out, but if Toni wanted to commit suicide, why would should try to withdraw money? Also where did she go to do this, and where is her car? My oldest brother when I was a child drove way out onto a country road and committed suicide, most likely so we wouldn't be the ones to find him. I'm wondering if they've checked back roads in surrounding small towns? Although I think by now someone who have seen something. I also feel like if they were thinking suicide, somehow that would have leaked onto social media from friends or family.

you honestly can never truly guess why suicidal or depressed people do the things they do. A lot of them don't make sense.. Remember that case of Rita, ah I can't remember her last name now but they thought she committed suicide but tried to make it seem like she was abducted... or that one woman who crawled in that hole with a bag on her head I think it was? Why would they do any of that stuff? Who knows... Suicidal people rationalize suicide is an option and to us we know that is clearly NOT a good option...

According to a statement by an Officer Snapp, Toni did not try to withdraw money. It would seem she merely tried to use her ATM card at the pump.

I always look very closely at suicide as a possibility in these cases. It's more common than most people realize. In this case, her car is still missing after 30 days, so it would almost have to be in a body of water. There wasn't much on her tumblr that pointed toward possible suicide. It all seemed pretty normal. Drug use can lead to suicide, however, so there's that. And she used to be into death metal. I tried to determine if this was associated with a higher suicide rate and it seemed the answer was not really. I could not find a definitive answer, however. Given the missing car, the probability of suicide seems low. Still possible, though.

I've been thinking lately about the possibility of a stalker. It seems to me that stalkers would be a high risk factor for somebody working in Toni's field. A stalker or bad drug deal seem to be the highest probabilities imho.

I don't think this was a bad drug deal. I think this was a sexual assault.
I do think that the character(s) involved most likely has ties to drugs, mob, trafficking and is not a great person, but I am really starting to believe this started off innocent enough (well probably not totally innocent) and escalated quickly to a sexual assault and then a cover up.
Bad people do bad things and she trusted the wrong bad person.

I agree. I feel like she willingly met up with someone and it went south.

To me the reports that she was going to run an errand and then meet up at the Shady Lady seem credible. Police reviewed video from the Shady Lady, and her friends that went there said she never showed. That doesn't seem to leave enough time for anything other than a drug deal. Anything is possible, of course, but that's why I'm leaning toward drug deal.

But yes, I agree sex was most likely the motive.

And the person she was meeting could have been a stalker who used a drug deal as a pretext.
