The statement analysis is concerning too.
Bad cop? Bad mom? Bad friend? Bad Toni? CI? Which one is it?

Just want to say thank you! for quoting her text correctly. I've seen people (not here) even use "omg I'm getting pulled over again" and it makes me bonkers. In genreal I trust police but am not naive enough to think there are not bad cops out there. I'm tossing around the idea that if this area is so high in trafficking it could be because bad cops are involved. I hate to say that. But
"OMG just just pulled over again" is really not sitting well tonight.
In regards to the way Liz talks - I'm glad someone brought this up. There was a quote from the first week, or so, (KWCH12 is where I got this) where she says ""This has just been a horrible nightmare," Toni's mother, Elizabeth Anderson says. "And I don't like any parent going through this. It's just horrifying. Please help us find her."
The line about "any parent" always stuck me as so distant and disconnected.
I have an extremely hard time believing that the mother is involved at all in her disappearance.
Only scenario I could believe is that she knew Toni was in great danger and helped her disappear. If that was the case, then she would know that Toni is safe, but the very goal was to keep her safe from that danger.
In that case all the past tense would also make sense. Because her new life is the present.
But even in regards to past tense usage, I think people push it too far sometimes. Usage of past tense has to do with a lot of factors, such as what the odds are. A depressed person, might just think the sky is falling on day 1. I do get the sense that the mother seems to care more about what is happening to her, rather than what is happening to Toni.
Which would be her playing her part of the distraught mother and not being aware of how someone might analyze what she says.
I personally don't think the mother is involved. I do think that she knows more via LE or just knowing more detail on Toni's illegal activity in the past, and if she doesn't she's conflicted because she understands the odds... just like we do. Plus, she's got people analyzing what she does, and I can understand how that could create anxiety.
I personally don't think that all people react the same way, so expecting what they say to fit what we personally expect, is not reliable.
Hi
I don't believe her Mother is involved. There is a reason for the language (past tense) she is using. As i said previously, why?
And to add to my previous post above. Does anyone know what their relationship was like?

As far as the Mother daughter relationship, the Mother has said they were close and talked daily or almost daily.
I've heard the Mother did not know about Toni being a stripper etc. The parents do not use the computer and guess nobody that had read Toni's twitter etc. clued them in on how Toni was making her money. That's hard for me to believe but that's what has been said. If the Mother just found out about Toni's work, I would imagine it has been very difficult for her emotionally along with her daughter being missing. I'm hearing the parents are strict when it comes to morals and I also don't know if the parents knew the boyfriend or even that she was living with a man.
Parental denial in general can be huge. Even after she was arrested for dealing drugs, my aunt refused to believe that my cousin had ever seen a drug, let alone taken or sold them. 20 years of drug-addicted cousin later, my aunt still denies it.

The article also confirmed that Toni's parents have split up and sold the family home, which was revealed by Pete a while ago. What is new information is that the sale was recent. "...the Andersons sold their home here in January, though she has no immediate plans to leave Wichita." I looked it up, and their house sold on January 4, 2017. So here we have yet another coincidence: just 11 days before Toni went missing, her parents sold the family home. The home was for sale for a long time, though, it was listed for sale on Feb 21, 2016.
According to zillow.com, the previous sale of the home was in 2001, so this was apparently Toni's childhood home.
It leads me back to considering the possibility that Toni might have run away voluntarily. Her parents, as a unit, were gone. Her childhood home, gone.
I agree with her Mom that it seems unthinkable, because Toni seemed to have exactly the life she wanted.
Toni had wanted to move to an apartment in Kansas City for a long time. She finally got there, and had been living in Kansas City for over a year already. But what if it wasn't as great as she thought it would be?
She was starting school in a few days, which was a stated goal of hers, but she also expressed serious misgivings.
The thing is, though, would she really just let everybody look for her for 38 days? Her BFFs and her parents? That seems even more unthinkable. Which, of course, points to the other kind of running away, the kind that nobody likes to mention. But then where is her car?
There are a lot of red flags, or 'coincidences' here:
- Parents just split.
- Probably had not so great of a Christmas 3 weeks ago because of parents splitting.
- Childhood home just sold.
- Possibly bad night at Chrome due to projected ice storm.
- Might have been unhappy to learn management was bringing in 5 new dancers for next night.
- Starting school in just 2 days.
- Contact with police.
- Disabled tracking device.
- Possible phone last ping near boat ramps.
Here's a somewhat pertinent story from just a few days ago. This woman drove into the river and hasn't been seen since.
Family says woman drove into Mississippi River to attempt suicide
It should be noted, however, that the Mississippi River is far larger than the Missouri River.
I don't know. I still think foul play is more likely. But you just never know.
It's not about one bad Christmas. It's about not living the life you want to live. It's about wanting happiness and not finding it.
Yes, Toni seemed happy about a lot of things, but that often doesn't tell the whole story. 10% of cases come with no warning.
Toni loved her parents a lot and wanted very badly for them to be proud of her, but felt that would never happen. She alludes to this many times on her twitter.
Drugs and music festivals are escapism.
