If you get a chance google statement analysis. There is not one for Toni's case but it is fascinating to read how typical language flows. I have read through analysis's before on other cases and the questioning of the wording of the mother is right on.

I have read alot of statement analysis on a number of cases, and I am of the opinion that it's closer to pseudoscience. I don't think it's complete hokum and can be a tool used to look for potential insight for questioning, however I also think it's extremely dangerous/reckless to apply it with little attention to variabilities that can sometimes be very specific to a person.

I know people that use improper tense all the time in regards to things, simply because they have the habit. Also, when people are uncomfortable they can speak differently. They don't need to be uncomfortable about lying, they can simply be uncomfortable about people looking at them cross eyed and thinking they killed someone. ya know? anxiety is a thing.

But it is interesting on a basic level and as a tool. I think that's typically how they get used, kind of like polygraphs, but aren't admissible in court because they have not been proven to be reliable enough for that usage.

Agreed.
While there is always variables and exceptions, in general there's a pattern of human behavior and definitely worth taking note of.

New video interview with Toni's mom here. Looks like this was this added to the previous article?

"Mom thinks missing Wichita woman victim of human trafficking"
http://www.kansas.com/news/local/article134141579.html

I don't find the analysis of Toni's mom's word choices to be helpful. She's grappling with what could be a tragic loss, and is probably having trouble just thinking straight. I'm inclined to cut her a ton of slack.

I'm in agreement. I have opinions on the topic of statement analysis, but I really think focus on her specifically isn't helpful.

Now... I'd love to hear some quotes from her friends/coworkers about that day with alot less sketchiness to evaluate them in terms of what they might not be saying.

Yeah, she spoke quite a bit about how much she liked dancing. But perhaps she got tired of it. I've had jobs before that I loved at first and hated 6 months in. The problem, invariably, is other people. I've read that the stripping world can be brutally competitive.

Here's a tweet from shortly after she started.

I do realize in her tweets etc. she sounded like she really enjoyed dancing. Think it's because I'm a Mother, know the dangers in what she was doing and also think what she was doing may be why she is missing. I just don't like thinking she loved it but if she did it does sound like traveling to dance may be something she would have really enjoyed. I look at her photos, see how photogenic she was and know she could have gotten involved in modeling of some kind. I wonder how she got into stripping? Possibly she took dancing when she was young. How does a 19 yr old learn to be a stripper without their parents knowing? Of course maybe they knew or had a good idea she was working as a stripper.
Still could be a drug buy or sell that went bad. Also I haven't even ruled out a wreck.

Yes they do. One of the problems with a young person stripping and being in the sex industry is if and when they want out, how does that job resume look when trying to find work? They would have no work experience or very little in a job not in the sex industry. Good jobs are difficult to come by and no work experience or gaps in working is bad.

True however she had a writing gig at the paper and had jobs in the past such as lifeguarding to pad the resume. Dancing is a night gig for most and many have other jobs during the week.. not all but many.

I don't know what kind of college classes Toni had taken or was taking. She mentioned a law degree on one of her profiles, think it was the sex cam. You're not going to be hired as an Attorney with a past in the sex industry. Possibly not even get into a good law school. This also would pertain to many good jobs. Working in the sex industry, putting yourself in danger of having a criminal record is not something any young person should do if they want to have a career choice that will pay them well. Possibly even could damage you getting a low paying job. Using illegal drugs, dealing drugs, prostitution etc. will or most likely will get you arrested. Doing things that many feel are immoral, damages your character and diminishes the chances of your getting a good job or any job.

Toni did write about going into Law. I got the sense, however, that it was driven mainly by a desire to please the parents. It seemed like the last thing she really wanted to do, actually. She loved working with kids, and did work with kids.

"I don't think I'll ever be able to long term work a job where I have to sit at a desk for 8 hours a day." - Toni (tweet)

Toni had so many good qualities. She enjoyed photography, she was artistic, she wanted to write, had a passion for music and was very social. Added to what you have mentioned. Oh and she loved to travel. When I think about all she had going for her and the fact she is missing it breaks my heart. So much time is passing by and her folks still haven't hired a PI. Just makes no sense to me unless what we are hearing from Police and her parents is not the truth.

About college and Toni not wanting to go but doing this to please her parents. I too got the impression she did not want to be going to college. I read one of her tweets saying she had homework to do but didn't know how to do it. I'm not sure if that was made when she was in highschool or in college. Also talked about using Adderall. One tweet she made was asking some people where she could buy Adderall, she had to be in court that morning, drive and wanted to stay awake. I thought possibly she had a learning disability had taken Adderall for it and possibly was abusing the medication. Maybe developed an addiction and possibly was using other stimulants. Could be how she got involved in drugs and was going with her drug dealer. Also having a learning disability could have contributed to low self esteem. This is doing some speculating but makes sense to me.

Yeah, I mentioned it before and have been trying not to harp it, but imho she had a big problem with Adderall. She mentioned it on her twitter quite a bit. It apparently is widely used and is considered somewhat socially acceptable by her generation. But it's an amphetamine, it's addictive, and it's dangerous. It could very well have been why she was in NKC that Sunday morning, either to buy, or due to an induced psychosis, which is a known potential side effect of overuse.

I think some people just really trust the police. They can be very convincing. They may have set a time limit, "eg, give us six weeks."

A PI can really mess up an investigation. For example, tip off a POI that they're a POI. That kind of thing.

Also, the Andersons keep singing the praises of police, so they must be convinced they are very actively working the case.

Toni's writing for the Nocturnal Times was fantastic. She was very insecure, though, and may have had learning difficulties. One of her funnier tweets (link):

"I feel like I could be graduating law school and the dean would look me in the eye and be like 'ur still dumb' while handing me my diploma"

I considered her using Adderall as a possible reason she was in NKC too. I thought about how sick she said she was during the previous week, dehydration. Taking Adderall or other stimulants to make it through a night of dancing could have left her very ill.

I just came across an interesting story where a woman's black car was found down a ravine after 2 months.

Her car was found by a friend. "They had been searching the section of Steinhauer Road near Trickum Road for weeks after learning Baggett’s phone was pinging in the area." (source)

An unpleasant possibility in this case, if Toni went for a long drive.

I truly don't think her use of adderall is why she was in NKC. It's a drug easily found on campus and in schools.... in my medicine chest ( ADD) it's not a drug to pick up at 4am in some back alley.
I believe many times we try to look at the negative of ones character to reason why something occurred. Victim blaming - The more innocent a victim, the more threatening they are. Victims threaten ones sense that the world is a safe and moral place, where good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people. I have seen this in so many cases in WS.

Toni is a victim unless found hiding out on some beach, which I find highly unlikely , she is missing and needs to be found ...not judged!

In the adult entertainment community, it's been widely reported that Adderall is abused with alcohol to negate the impairment of alcohol due to increased motor function skills and mental focus. It could be possible that without a prescription, a dancer at some establishments can be provided drinks by patrons or choose to consume alcohol after a shift is completed. People take adderall to drink and drive. Also based on the hours required for adult entertainers, the normal sleep cycle is disrupted, thus the incorporation of a stimulant, like adderall or "amphetamine" could help a person stay awake or provide substitution for other drugs of abuse commonly related to the adult entertainment industry, such as methamphetamine. Toni tweeted her interest in Adderall, the rest above is a brief overview of the relationship between adderall and the adult entertainment industry.
