Could this woman have been being extorted this way? So many red flags here. I did read all four pages and links. Still spooked.

What do you mean?

Mother appears to be well-nourished and has good personal hygiene. Her hair and skin look good. Several media reports indicated that the children's toenails were so long that they had difficulty walking. I'm guessing Mom gets manicures/pedicures regularly. JMOT
They say a picture is worth a thousand word. @BetteDavisEyes I'll let you be the judge on where or not she got manicures and pedicures regularly.

Big picture view:

Bryant appeared via Zoom late Thursday morning before an Oakland County judge.

She waived a formal reading of the charges and stood mute, entering a not guilty plea through her defense attorney.

Judge Ronda Gross gave Bryant a $250 million cash bond, telling the court she could not deny the mother bond.

According to pretrial services, Bryant has two home addresses listed and the prosecuting attorney worried she may be a flight risk and may be considered transient.

Oakland County Judge Ronda M. Fowlkes Gross gave Bryant a $250 million cash bond.

“She’s from here, she’s from there,” said Gross. “We don’t know where she resides. I do find her an acute risk and danger to the community and to any minor children under the age of 18, let alone the three minor children that she is a mother to.”

The judge said she believes that her main concern is that Bryant might try to contact the children since they are currently with a family member.

“If it is a family member, I am concerned that she still may have contact with the family member from the jail with instructions to continue to engage in the fear tactics to forbid the children from cooperating with authorities,” the judge said.

I absolutely agree with the judge. I hope and pray she wasn't residing with the same family member that now has custody of the children.

First I heard of this.

She went to live with the fourth child and that child’s father, police believe.

wow. So she wanted to be with that one's BD and just left the kids whose father was incarcerated to fend for themselves. Why in the H didn't she simply give him the custody in 2022 when he got out of jail and asked for it???? her children suffered YEARS longer.

Pontiac — A Pontiac mom accused of abandoning her three children to live in squalor by themselves for years faces up to life in prison after being arraigned on first-degree child abuse charges.

Kelli Bryant was arraigned Thursday on three counts of first-degree child abuse in Pontiac's 50th District Court. Judge Ronda Fowlkes Gross set her bond at $250 million after deeming her a flight risk.

Bryant, who appeared via Zoom during the video arraignment, nodded her head as Fowlkes Gross addressed her. The judge also ordered Bryant to have no contact with her children, saying she was concerned Bryant would instruct them not to cooperate with authorities.

“I find her a continued danger to her children," said Fowlkes Gross before setting bond. "I don’t know who the children have been given to.”...

I'm going to guess that she told that man her other three had been given to their father. I'm also gonna guess the reconciliation with the one child's father didn't last long. She appears to have moved around a lot based on the statements by the judge “She’s from here, she’s from there,” “We don’t know where she resides."

I don't believe the father of the 3 oldest that was in jail wanted custody, just visitation.

I you search around online you will find who the three children were placed with. I don't want to post who that is for obvious reasons. This person who is now caring for the three children was not someone the defendant would have been having a relationship with or had children with. It has been reported this person is a family member/relative.

I wonder if the fourth child was taking into state custody.

The children were taken to an area hospital for evaluation and are currently with relatives. The children were taken to an area hospital for evaluation and are currently with relatives. 3 children found living in vile conditions in Pontiac were abandoned 5 years ago, sheriff says

thanks for clarifying. still, she could have responded to his request for change in custody with "I'll do you one better, here they are, they are all yours"
