I think the twitter world was gossiping and connecting the arrestees to the chambers case. JMO

From what I have been reading, the dots are pretty close.

And in the state next door, Alabama now has a mysterious case of a young man whose body (basically a skeleton after burning) was found inside his burned truck along with that of the body of his beloved dog Gypsy. This happened about March 21, 2014 and yet there was so thread on it here at WS so I started one. Here it is http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...Gypsy-his-beloved-dog&p=11658634#post11658634

Please take the time to check it out and see what you think. Eric's body was so badly burned that it took quite a while to even identify him. It took forensic testing to do so. His mother is devastated. From all accounts Eric was a sweet young man who is remembered for helping a stranger with a flat tire, consoling a friend thru grief and many other stories of him. Eric was also an amazing uncle to his nephews and they enjoyed playing with Uncle Eric and Gypsy.

Could there be a connection? I don't see any such thing as of yet but it is so mysterious that this happened to both of them. Perhaps it was a copy cat crime. Jessica's story was big news so many people heard of it. Perhaps it was just a random event or even some kind of freak accident. No matter the cause his family deserves answers and support. Please take the time to check his story out.

You have had some great input as well. What is leading you towards suicide here?

Still going with 'suicide' here until compelling evidence speaks to the contrary.

Love reading all opinions though; you guys are great.

Breaking from what we might call 'the life' can't have been easy; old home and new job may have been scant consolation. If she in fact was not depressed at all about the sudden shift, I would be surprised. It's entirely human to be.

In what may be termed a bit of dark synchronicity, at the time I read this one I was trying to recall the classic English car fire death/possible suicide case from the '30s -- UK - Evelyn Foster's fiery 1931 demise; finally found and posted it.

As well, a 20-minute internet search produced over two dozen car fire suicides in the past several years. It sounds like something that doesn't happen often, and that's true. But it does happen more frequently than one would think.

And she was said to have purchased twice her normal amount of gas.

Finally, the solution is not currently disproved by either meager fact or copious rumor; and I do believe the truth can be conveniently withheld -- supposing my view is correct -- in order to save the reputations of perhaps-scatterbrained LE.

I'm not too familiar with this case but I have heard of a few people who destroy their cars to get insurance money. Is it possible that maybe she was going to torch her car and in turn got gas on herself accidentally or the gas blew up?

Good question. I wonder if lighter and bottle of accelerant was found at the scene. Your theory is plausible but she still would have had another car there to get her home. And a friend would have came forward with the accidental reason by now. Jmo

True. Just a thought I had. I went to school with a guy that was using gas to burn something and it blew up and badly disfigured him. Almost killed him

I think she was blind sided by someone's baby mama and friends. Things went too far. And baby daddy helped cover it up without realizing she was still alive.

So sad. I hope justice is found for her and her family

I personally have never seen this as a real suicide possibility, and still don't, though everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, and you do give what I think are valid reasons for thinking what you do. I do have to ask though, is refusing to acknowledge Jessica's death as a suicide saving LE's reputations more than being unable to solve what they insist was a murder but wasn't??

I see nothing to indicate they're trying to solve anything.

I think that is the theory that best fits and is also why this has been so difficult to solve. I do not believe her killer acted alone and I'm betting LE don't believe it, either.

Which "they" might you be referring to? (See BBM in quote.)

I meant if the perps or LE = believe this will be swept under the rug and forgotten in time then they are dead wrong.

LE shouldn't compromise investigation to feed public interest.

This is not about public interest .... this is about a cold blooded heinous killer running loose and the people of Panola County have a RIGHT to be kept informed if only to say no new leads .... the silence is deafening.

How does just saying "no new leads" help anything?

We had a woman commit suicide by car fire here last year so I guess anything could be possible.

http://www.gazettextra.com/20141003/authorities_say_woman_set_car_on_fire_and_her_death_was_suicide

Jessica's death has been ruled a homicide. I think LE know it was a homicide.

From your link: Police did not find a note, but they did hear from family and friends who told them Brookins suffered from depression and had tried to kill herself two days before she died, Deputy Chief Dan Davis of the police department said.

I see nothing to indicate they're trying to solve anything.

Then the question becomes 'how does not even attempting to solve a case that has been classified as a homicide improve LE's reputation more than failing to call a suicide a suicide'?

Wonder what the area around the tree looks like now?

My prayers and thoughts are for all those who hold out hope for Justice for Jessica, as well as her sister, family and true friends, who've all been through so much, besides her cruel death by fire. I hope Easter brought with it some comfort and the Spring brings with it, some answers.
