I say RH and or 1 of his minions. She hung out with the others and tried to get over on him which is a no no. Especially if that was someone elses money that he gave them. But she was left alone to fend for herself. And he spotted her and made her pull over. Jmo

Btw. The feds mostly rounded up and disrupted the gang affiliates. But no one talked even with the reward. So I doubt they even knew anything. Which is why I think Hentz or his crowd was able to not get focused on while the feds were in town. Jmo

Btw. I think the fire fighter that she spoke to knows the culprit and gave a name that wasn't definitive. Jmo.

I guess what's around the case, the pitfalls of knowing whom is exactly responsible seem not to have changed?

Thank you rbarber and all for keeping the thread so well informed. Jessica is well remembered.

I hope something changes to bring out the truth of why a beautiful young girl was burned alive, who lived for hours after she spoke through her pain with the fire chief, and no one knows who did it, still.

Actually there has never been any confirmation. Linear skull fractures occur in victims of thermal burn injuries. ***Click on the links, but beware it is hard to read. One has 3 pictures on the site that are umm... Well? The painful truth of
what a burn victim dies from.

I've never really thought much about an autopsy of a burned victim -- this case may be my first -- but it must be ghastly and horrible. Oh, my. <shiver> Oh, how awful.

I am going to try to conduct a survey here on the WebSleuths Jessica Chambers forum. Immediately following this post, I plan to add six additional posts, each one listing someone who I would consider a prime suspect, despite the fact that there are no official Persons of Interest (POI) for this investigation.

The suspects are:
(1) RH now believed to be deceased from liver cancer.
(2) ME, a registered sex offender currently in the Ouachita, LA jail.
(3) A person known to Jessica whose first name is “Eric” or “Derrick” or “Cedric” or some similar “_ick” sounding name.
(4) One or more black gang members with ties to Panola County drug trafficking.
(5) Jessica Chambers herself (it was a suicide).
(6) None of the previous persons.

I have no idea whether this is a violation of the rules, but will find out soon enough. Again, I am not accusing the persons listed above of actually committing this crime, merely soliciting the opinion of those who frequent this forum, as well as other WebSleuths forums, and so are familiar with this crime in particular and with other criminal investigations in general. Let’s make the official end of this survey the end of day on December 6, 2015, although there is no way for me to really stop it after that point. Try to vote for only one if you can, two if you must.

JMO
I have forgotten how, but we can actually set up a poll here instead of doing it this way. Give this info to a Mod. ;)

Autopsies normally concentrate on the internal remains and not external so there isn't a lot of difference to the Medical Examiner. It would be awful, but an ME sees the worst of the worst sights. I don't know how they do it day after day.

Poll thread already exists. We won't add specific names of individuals who have not specifically been named as suspects by LE.

Well D-U-U-H. I guess I must've known that at one point in time. When I just tried to vote, Mr. Computer told me I had already voted. Old Timer's Disease kicking in I guess. And thank you for moderating those survey suspect names into initials instead of light sabering the whole thing, Miz Janis. "Cheap Thrills" was one of my favorite albums when I was coming of age.

BTW, I can't respond to my own poll -- you can't "Thank" yourself. But my vote would be for ME. It would have been for RH earlier, but since he apparently has left the scene (permanently) and I hated the thought of somebody getting away with murder, the registered sex offender wins the honor.

Well thank you for your efforts here on this thread rbarber- I liked that you started a new poll, SINCE THIS CASE HAS NEARLY GONE ON A YEAR WITH NO ARRESTS. You made a poll relevant to current posters following this case. I understand and respect rules and just wanted to add my thanks. Justice will catch up to the guilty in due time.

With the FBI involved in this case, I have 100% confidence in your prediction, observation. Why, even the Russians called the FBI in to help with their investigation of the Russian airliner recently brought down over Egypt. You know the Poot had to really swallow his pride for THAT to happen.

Instead of sadness I am angry at the lead investigator. Oh,the word 'worthless' and others come to mind but I would break :tos:

Have mercy..Seems the LE in the area either commits suicide or get arrested..What's up with that...? Smells a little fishy, especially if JC's murderer(s) is a BIG catch ...

Lead investigator, Barry Thompson, in Jessica Chambers murder arrested for DUI :

"Thompson was arrested by the Mississippi Highway Patrol. There are not many details about the arrest so far, but residents said they feel it does not matter.

Chamber’s father said he feels the allegations against Thompson are false and feels this will not affect his daughter’s case."

It is interesting in that BC believes the DUI arrest was false. How many times has Thompson been late for work or arrived with a hangover yet has the audacity to claim he is the top investigator for solving Jessica's murder?

This latest development really has made me angry.

Ben's deductive reasoning escapes me.

Ben's proposition that #1 the Mississippi State Police has falsely charged Investigator Barry Thompson of a DUI is a very serious allegation.I would like Sheriff Darby to address why Ben as an employee of his department is making such a slanderous accusation of another agency. An example does Ben have reason to suspect Mississippi State Police could be involved in a coverup in his daughters murder. Is that why he is suspicious that Barry Thompson's DUI was bogus?

Since in a few weeks it will be a year;could Sheriff Darby also brief & assure the public of his confidence in his departments progress in solving Jessica's murder.

Then for Ben #2 to categorically argue the sobriety of the lead investigator for Jessica's murder is of no importance is mystifying.

i would say more but I think it best that I cool off a bit. I might say something and get a time out.:chillout:

I have no problem with the lead detective getting a DUI on his own time. He messed up and is going to pay for it just like everyone else. Do I believe it was a problem with this case? Not in the least. I do, however, think this case could have caused a man to drink trying to figure it out when obviously the FBI hasn't been able to catch a break on it either.

I like to read everyone's opinions. I do understand your point of view.

The thrust of my post was the quote by Ben Chambers that Lead Detective Thompson was 'falsely' arrested. I took Bens meaning to be Lead Investigator Thompson was targeted and even perhaps framed by the Mississippi State Patrol. I immediately thought perhaps he felt Barry Thompson was being persecuted by that agency for nefarious reasons.

Ben Chambers and Lisa Daughtery throughout the investigation have both expressed their utmost faith in the skill of Lead Investigator Barry Thompsonto to solve Jessica's murder.

If I have a criticism of the alleged violation it is in his title 'Lead'. This implies to me modeling and mentoring those who report to you exactly what excellence represents in public service.

At the least I hope Sheriff Darby briefs us as to the quote from his employee that Mississippi State Patrol falsely accused Lead Investigator Barry Thompson. That is a very serious charge by Ben Chambers and needs explanation.

Just a thought, is it reasonable to question whether this "DUI" was something other than alcohol?
He was arrested at night. I am picturing a MHP shining a flashlight in his face and noticing that something was "off" with the lead detective.
I may be WAY OFF!
It does make me wonder coupled with BC comments about the situation.
Perhaps the man has other health issues? Perhaps another medical professional can chime in.
Hopefully this won't affect the case in any way, but if it ever gets to court- wow! It will be an interesting trial to say the least!

Man that sounds like old times as when I lived by Chicago in Crook, I mean Cook County. The charge from MS may be BS or for real I don't have a clue I didn't spend a lot of time there. It would be nice to finally see Arrest on this thread line though.
