In defense of the station attendant, we had an incident happen last week and as quick as I like to think my brain is, when the police officer asked me to describe the person's CLOTHES I could not.

I was focused on his face and what he had in his hand. Sometimes in an emergency we don't always remember everything like we think we should...just offering a different point of view.

Flatfootjoe, i just feel like this kid opens his mouth like someone who either has no fear of consequences or he isn't smart enough to think that statements he makes will be scrutinized/checked out. if he lied, that is a very BIG lie. I know if I'm living in that town, though, I'm questioning my sheriff on that point. I just cannot believe it. But then again, the tow-truck driver stopping for cigs is also a head-scratcher.

I apologize if this has already been discussed, but has the person who called this into 911, been identified?
TYIA.

I am behind on reading so I'm not sure if this has been posted: Investigators follow new lead in Jessica Chambers murder case

"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man."

I think it was posted earlier. You have to wonder why he took so long to come forward, and why he chose to be identified and interviewed on camera. If nothing else though, hopefully it convinces others to come forward.

Past tense speech is always something I keep a sharp ear out for.

Also, her body language on that security recording just shouts out at me. Whoever was off camera I read that they were cleared but watch her body language. She stops and out of common courtesy she answers them but only hesitantly then does she walk over to them.

This is some kind of a case.

The volume of information coming out is amazing.

ITA-It looks to me like she really did not want to go over there.

But yet he remembered how much gas she bought? Look, I will respectfully disagree with you on the sheriff. I will 100% judge him if he disclosed a detail only the killer would know to a kid at a gas station. Fact is, I don't think the sheriff told him that. This kid, through his statements, has put himself in the middle of it all. He spoke to Jessica before she died, supposedly received/shared intimate details of her death, took pics of her car in his lot while the tow truck driver supposedly stopped for cigarettes. He's made contradictory statements. He's done several interviews. I think if he wants people to stop scrutinizing him, he should probably shut up.

Jessica Chambers' father to her killer: 'They're coming for you.'

"To the person that done this: They're coming for you. They're working day and night, day and night, away from their own families," Ben Chambers said.

Jessica Chambers' father said when the person who killed his little girl is found, he hopes they put them in solitary confinement, and he made a vow.

"Because I promise as long as I have breath in me I can talk to people and make sure they're not comfortable in there," Ben Chambers said

As a mother, I understand the sentiment. When this first happened, my first thought was...dear, God. If someone had done that to my child, they had better pray the law gets them before I do.

"Autopsy results are complete in the Chambers case, but officials are tight-lipped on what they add to the case."

"Everybody's supportive," he said. "And there are people calling us from other towns saying even their lowest dope dealer and troublemaker is trying to find out who did it. Everybody's angry about this."

There's even talk of a motorcycle group who has a bounty on the head of Jessica Chambers' killer, he said. In his understanding, if they find out who did it, they'll try to bring him in.

"I heard that if they find out who it is, that they definitely will do something about it," he said, but he didn't know the name of the group.

Exactly what I was feeling. You have to remember, he was talking to an interviewer at that point, likely on camera. That's a big lie to tell to the camera. So you have to wonder, is he really telling the truth? If he is, why that level of confidence between a near juvenile and the leader of local LE.

I drove a wrecker before, and I can tell you they stop where convenient, but I can't imagine LE not telling him get this straight to impound. If I knew I were dragging evidence on my rollback, I'd have not stopped till I dropped the wreck.

Too much happened at this one location for it not to end up a source of real scrutiny.

Well, if the killer does have loud pipes, he/she will be getting a new muffler now.

If they bring him in, it's going to be in a bag.

That's a good point, and I admit I haven't caught up enough at all to know what this kid at the register has been saying. I'm just wading into the pool at this point. The tow truck driver stopped for cigarettes? I am just stunned. What about the chain of custody?? WOW. I'd have an issue with him stopping when he had a crime scene piece of evidenced hooked on to his vehicle.

Someone else brought up the fact that the attendant said she would have come on and told him if she was having trouble but yet she did not confide in him as to where she was heading after she was leaving.
