Well, if the killer does have loud pipes, he/she will be getting a new muffler now.
Yep. bless the witness who came forward publicly about that. Brave. I mean, in and of itself, it means nothing. But every bit of circumstantial evidence helps if they make an arrest.

As a mother, I understand the sentiment. When this first happened, my first thought was...dear, God. If someone had done that to my child, they had better pray the law gets them before I do.

As a father I can guarantee you, if I knew someone murdered my child, there would be no safe place on earth for them.

Also from the same article

"Autopsy results are complete in the Chambers case, but officials are tight-lipped on what they add to the case."

"Everybody's supportive," he said. "And there are people calling us from other towns saying even their lowest dope dealer and troublemaker is trying to find out who did it. Everybody's angry about this."

There's even talk of a motorcycle group who has a bounty on the head of Jessica Chambers' killer, he said. In his understanding, if they find out who did it, they'll try to bring him in.

"I heard that if they find out who it is, that they definitely will do something about it," he said, but he didn't know the name of the group.

(BBM) I'm standing and cheering!! Love it and love them.

I'd also like to point out, and anyone who has ever worked at a small town gas station I would think agree, that it develops it's own little subculture. The lotto tix, ciggs and cheap food (beer & wine in some states) it starts to act as a hub for people on a lower income, as they usually can walk there from home, need inexpensive food ect, and feed their habits (ciggs, booze or whatever you can score). It is a weird position for the store owner to be in because these are your best customers, but you know there is illicit activity going on so you must find a way to accommodate your main source of income and stay within the law to some extent to keep your business operating.

This is one reason why I don't find AA's behavior and knowledge of JC's purchases odd. I do find it weird that if she were comfortable enough with him for him to believe if someone gave her a problem outside of the store she would have told him, (which is how I understood his quote) that she would only say she is going 'somewhere'. She was intentionally vague with him if this is correct, so he might not know the killer or it might have been someone he doesn't get along with.

Just some thoughts I hope help :) MOO JMO etc etc

BBM

I do not find this behavior weird. I think she had a rapport with AA but only on a friendly, "he sells me gas and junkfood, but i don't want to socialize with him" kind of way. I can see her confiding that someone was bothering her if she felt she needed help, but not as to her plans for the evening/coming day. I guess what i'm saying is a known "weirdo" is better than an unknown one. (I'm not trying to imply that anyone in this case thinks that AA is a weirdo.)

Holly Bobo is a young lady who disappeared and was later found dead not too far from Courtland. Decatur TN IIRC

Sorry I should have been more clear, I know about Holly Bobo, just not sure what the volunteers are all about, volunteer what?

Anyone with loud pipes in that small of a town would be identified by now.

Past tense speech is always something I keep a sharp ear out for.

Also, her body language on that security recording just shouts out at me. Whoever was off camera I read that they were cleared but watch her body language. She stops and out of common courtesy she answers them but only hesitantly then does she walk over to them.

This is some kind of a case.

The volume of information coming out is amazing.

Supposedly the person was trying to bum a cigarette off of her. Maybe they made a habit of it. If Jessica was being kept on a short financial leash (and given that apparently her folks didn't know she smoked) she might have been reluctant to give up any of her cigarettes - they're expensive.

And speaking of finances - who buys $14 worth of gas? $10 yes, $15 yes - but $14? Could that have been what she had left from a 20 dollar bill after other purchases (cigs and drink?)

I thought that too. I would know exactly who they were talking about in my town. Most of us would. A town of 460 can only have so many cars when accounting for kids and people that don't drive.

Cigs for about $5 or $6 would leave $14 for gas. She got the gas first and then went back in for cigs. I used to put gas in and leave enough for a pack of smokes when I was young and broke. Lol. My smoking habit kind of dictated how much gas I put in :)

I guess I can see the dr or sheriff telling JC's father it appears that someone may have doused JC with something or they believe something was poured down her throat. The sheriff and Mr chambers had a personal relationship. The sheriff most likely had a private conversation with mr chambers and may have said...this is what we suspect so far, Ben. And then it got to the media.

What I do NOT believe is that a sheriff would tell a 19 year old gas station worker that intimate detail. No way!!! Either AA is lying in that interview he did or that sheriff is the most irresponsible LEO I've ever seen. I do not believe a darn thing AA has said in his interviews. It was posted on the last thread via an MSM article that LE took possession of the video on Thursday! What AA is saying completely contradicts that. He has, in fact, contradicted himself quite a few times in his interviews. Either she was normal or she wasn't. He is NOT, imo, a reliable source of info. If he has made contradictory statements in interviews, surely LE will see that. Is he suspicious? Yes. Is he involved? I have no clue. But I imagine LE will sort that out. Only the sheriff would know if he gave out info to that gas station worker. I would have to think that is a bunch of BS! My opinion only on that!

I was thinking it was the tow truck driver that told AA when he stopped there for cigarettes or gas or whatever. I think AA just repeated what the tow truck driver heard LE or fire dept say which may have been speculation. As in it looks like...

I only stated that it was the sheriff that told AA because he specifically referenced the sheriff in his interview.

I forget what they're called, but there are systems out there where there is a switch in the vehicle that changes the exhaust from going thru the muffler to straight pipes.

Of course, it is in the realm of possibility that he knew exactly where she was going, with who, and exactly what happened to her and why.

What procedure would take 6-7 weeks? DNA?

Cigarettes in my locale are just about 6$, Fits perfect, something tells me they're cheaper there, and I believe she was reported to have bought a 44 oz soda, all those purchases probably fit neat to a 20$ bill.
