Thanks again monster. This article was like a breath of fresh air!
Agreed! Classified as homicide. "Narrowing down" suspects.

Hopefully that $43,000 can get someone to talk. I just hope that whomever knows the who, what, and why, won't keep waiting till the reward goes up and up.

I hadn't found much reason to hope in recent days, but I do find myself with just a bit more today. Maybe for no good reason, but I will take it :)

Hmmm. Maybe it's a stretch to presume that the deceased was Jessica. Should we believe her mother? Who formally identified her? Have not seen the coroner's report and autopsy and DNA results....JMO

I agree that by now it's likely been determined if accelerant was poured or spilled on JC, or if accelerant came in contact only with the vehicle. Those results have not been made public, however, so we can't rule it either "in" or "out". We simply don't know, and the former is as likely to be true as the latter.

Thanks for the twitter links.....I don't use twitter and wasn't aware the sheriff made those comments. My impression from the autopsy results is that the reason the coroner used the term "thermal injury" was because of internal injury from the chemicals she inhaled or drank rather than external burns.

all, imo.

I got pretty stoked that it got raised, got my fingers crossed for a break.

Trouble is, if people who know are afraid, it isn't enough money to find a new identity. Scary. JMO

True about the identity but, its enough to dissappear and get a name change. Jmo the person or people who know are probably scared just for knowing that the murderer knows they know. If I was a murderer I wouldn't leave loose ends it wouldn't be a matter of if, I would but when I would take care of the witnesses. It would be wisest to take the money and run, but thats moo.

Hope I make sense been a long day.

there are witness protection programs available to help relocate people. The fact that the FBI is stepping up with a reward is an indication to me that there are federal crimes being investigated. Whether or not they are directly tied to Jessica's death is the still missing piece of the puzzle.

Reward in Jessica Chambers case now $43,000

A few interesting quotes from the latest news article:

Chambers made a statement to first responders in which she allegedly gave them the name of her attacker, but even leads connected to that statement have not yet panned out.

Much public speculation has linked the crime to alleged gangs in the area, but Ben Chambers said someone claiming to be a high-ranking gang member in the area had contacted him to tell him that the gangs in the area were angry and upset about what happened to Jessica as well.

"They're very upset about it. They said you wouldn't even do a dog like that," Ben Chambers said.

Interesting that a high-ranking gang member reached out to BC. See, these thugs still have a soft spot in their heart IMO. :heartluv:

We've also heard that same statement from LF (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/12/10/woman-set-on-fire/20195725/) @ 1:20.

I've never thought gangs were responsible because there has been no evidence Jessica herself was involved in gang activity or gang-related crime, such as selling drugs.

Hard to say at this point how the accelerant being poured down her throat came to be. We know Mr. Chambers stated it as coming from the doctor. We also know that LE hasn't confirmed it. I have gone back and forth in my own mind as to whether or not to consider it as far as my theory goes in what happened to her. I lean towards believing it for right now because, while it wasn't confirmed, it wasn't denied. I would think LE would have a reason to deny it if it were not true, but LESS of a reason to confirm it if it WAS true. It must have originated from somewhere because it would be very hard to see why a detail so horrible would be reported by a family member unless they had reason to believe it. Of course, that is just where I am with it. No proof either way.

and how did AA know that info at 11PM the night it happened?

I was notified of the reward being raised in an email from The Panolian.

District Attorney John Champion announced Monday that the Federal Bureau of
Investigation has added $25,000 to the reward being offered for information
concerning the Jessica Chambers murder bringing the total to $43,000.
Chambers died from injuries on December 6 when she was found still alive
next to her burning car with burns over 98 percent of her body. She died
later that night.
News of her plight has gone nationwide but no suspect has been arrested over
a month after the incident even though federal and state agencies have
joined Panola County Sheriff's Department and other local agencies in the
investigation.
Anyone with information concerning the incident should call Crimestoppers at
1-800-729-2169 or Panola County Sheriff's Department at (662) 563-6230

He claimed LE told him and nobody has disputed his claim afaik. If LE knew this by 11 PM, I have to wonder if the source of their information was Jessica herself.

No evidence/arrest record could just mean that someone was never caught.

Buying drugs from a gang member is a crime.

And, you don't have to be a gang member to sell drugs.

And some leave the country, which is a wise move, I feel.
