On this part of the google map, it indicates that Jessica was at a place called Gurley's at 5:30 which may be the other fast food store that I missed when listing the fast food stores in C'land.

https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=zZD4sPiErdd8.kZlkjIsipZPU
<snip>

Clicking the "Gurley's" icon on the map brings up the description, "At 5:30 she was at “Gurley’s” or the Courtland convenience store on Highway 51 where video was taken with security cameras." When you enlarge that area of the interactive map, it turns out to be the M&M gas station, so the -two- fast food stores turn out to be one in the same. So you didn't miss any after all, DeDee.

Agreed about the flowers, I live in the Deep South and real flowers definitely would not survive long . It is possible that she is not allowed to do anything permanent as well such as plant flowers in the ground.
The spot where my niece was found murdered is that way, we were allowed to put up a cross, flowers , etc ... As long as it is not permanent and can be removed if necessary .
I just believe that Lisa has in her mind a different definition of the term bad seed than we do.
Not at all surprised by no comment from the FBI...

I live in the Shallow South, and both jonquils (daffodils, narcissus) and daylilies are pretty common here in NC. As for viability in the hotter SE zones, probably depends a lot on the variety:
http://www.amazon.com/Garden-Bulbs-South-Scott-Ogden/dp/0881928135#reader_0881928135

Not doing anything "permanent" to the property may be true, but both flower varieties grow wild along the roadside up here. Who's to say they got a little help to make them grow up a certain bank just outside Courtland? If the past plastic flower displays I've seen at this gated entrance were tolerated by the property owners before, I can't imagine "wild" roadside flowers not being OK with them, too. We're not talking Bellingrath or Callaway Gardens here, just a small patch of flowers that comes and goes with the seasons.

Sorry to hear about your niece. I hope her killer(s) received more justice than Jessica's killer(s) have so far.

Advertisements seen scrolling along the edge of my Websleuths screen lately:

o Mail order Depends
o Testosterone Supplements
o Victoria's Secret
o How to lift saggy skin
o Man creates brain-dead simple solution to restore 20/20 vision
o Jobtome Job Offers

So, looks like Tricia's ad machine has me pegged for an incontinent, unemployed, dirty old man with poor vision. Oh, well, such is life on a hollow log... Well she's WAYYYY off on that saggy skin thing. I've got this vast container stretched tighter than the top of a kettle drum. I suppose my diginity can suffer a little in order for Tricia to generate enough revenues to keep her unique website up and running.

Don't get me wrong...I totally agree about the windflowers and all..in fact we made the same arguments you made when trying to plant tulips of some such where Kaitlin was found....to no avail.
I detest plastic flowers as well...

And thank you.,,he is currently serving LWOP in Angola prison for KK's murder and another LWOP after that for another murder that he committed years before KK's and thought he got away with .He was connected thru DNA taken during Kaitlin's investigation .

Question on Panola County Jail MDOC trustees and who are the supervisors oversee them?

I want to know the names of every single person who oversees the MDOC tustees since Dec6,2014. I hope Tom Dees or Therese Apel read Webseluths because there needs to be some transparency from Sheriff Darby. There has to be a log(protocol for who and where MDOC trustees are at all times).

Current from Feb 1,2016 Panola County Website link below:
Bobby Meek Jail Administrator, he is responsible for the Panola County Detention Center, which houses, on a daily basis, an average of 120 inmates ( County, State and Federal). Approximately 30 of these inmates are trusties, who require special supervision for the jobs that they do. He oversees the trusties in the Panola County Joint County & State Work Center. These trusties provide the manpower for the trash pickup and garbage pickup crews, as well as the vehicle maintenance shop and car wash for Sheriff Department and other county vehicles. These trusties are also responsible for the care, upkeep, repair and maintenance of all county buildings and grounds. This saves Panola County money that would have to be spent to provide these services.

Good to hear, and that's no day camp, either. Found this quote about it on the Internet: "Angola Prison is one of the harshest prisons in America."

I'm sure his conviction brought some closure to your family and that other murder victim's family. Nothing can bring your loved ones back. King David said upon the death of his newborn son, I can go to him, but he cannot return to me. It's small comfort, but her murder probably prevented others from being murdered, too.

I trust you think along with most of us that only an animal or someone truly insane could do such a thing. I may not live long enough to see (1) a three-year arrest cycle, (2) a three-year trial cycle, and (3) a ten-year appeal cycle. But eventually, Justice for Jessica will be served. In the meantime, I'm hoping the perp(s) have the self-immolation gene.

Blessings,
rbarber17

If it ever comes down to a LWOP plea bargain in order to gain a confession, I hope DA Champion declines to do so, and tries for the Gold Ring instead. If the killer(s) did manage to get off scot free, I don't think the U.S. Marshalls have a murderer protection program.

Thank you ..... Today marked the nine year anniversary of our sweet Kaitlins murder...I hope he sees her smiling , trusting face when he closes his eyes...I hope he sees her smiling , trusting face when his eyes are open ..( and she had every reason to trust him ) .... I hope the sound of her voice stays in his ears no matter how hard he tries to drown it out...

As a juror said to us as we were leaving the courthouse upon his conviction...justice was not served in that courtroom, but rather it will be served everyday for the rest of his life when he opens his eyes and knows exactly where he is and what he did to put him there...and knows that he will never, ever leave that place until his cold , evil heart stops beating.

You may light a candle for Jessica, if you wish. :rose:

The link carries you to the candle that I lit. Then, you can click on "Back to Candles" so you can light your candle for Jessica Lane Chambers whose 21st birthday is today. She would have been 21 years old.

Can anyone explain to me one thing? How excluding Mississippi politics;can Sheriff Darby have earned the unwavering trust of Panola County & the continued privilege of another term as their sheriff. Because if you listen very carefully;Sheriff Darby is telling everyone to leave (you fill in the crime) to me and I will solve it. As,long as this continues Jessica's murder will never be solved. How do I know? First,Sheriff Darby thought Jessica's murder would fade away like so many others. Then,I am also factoring in Sheriff Darby's track record. The people and families in Panola County deserve so much better in my opinion.

Jessica will be celebrating another birthday her 21st without justice on Feb 2nd;thanks go to Trisha & the Webseluths Forum for keeping her murder very much alive;otherwise I fear Jessica's would have became another in a long list of cold cases.

:cow:

Liars, cheaters, thieves, murderers, dishonest, and unscrupulous people in general usually vote with their personal preferences. As I've stated before, I would so much want to take a look at the voter's polls in the last Sheriff's race in Panola County to see whose names would be found there.

Ahh, then Kaitlin's murderer is serving time along with Bernie Ebbers of WorldComm fraud fame.

cubbeegirl, know we share in your sorrow over the loss of your precious niece. I wish killers were born on their forehead with the letter "K" for killer, or "R" for rapists, and so on. It is far too easy for good people to be fooled by slick con men with ill intentions. Even though it has been nine years, your pain seems palpable as if it happened last month. May you find Peace in knowing we wish you and your dear family the best life has to offer.

About the flowers at the CS, wasn't there a controversy about the large group who donated the Christmas trees and pretty poinsettias at Jessica's CS? At first, the City Commissioner, or someone in a county office, squawked about it, then backed down and allowed the flowers and trees to be delivered after all.

If it weren't such a dangerous place, I would hire a gardener, who would need a bodyguard, to go to the Herron Rd site and plant dozens of jonquils. No one would know until they began to sprout and display their happy faces waving in the breeze.

Now, that is really interesting. It puts BC in direct contact with jailhouse trustees.

Happy 21st Birthday Jessica.:cake4u:

This goes back to December of 2014. I have the back story on the request for a temporary Christmas poinsettia memorial for Jessica. So here it is:

Initially Mrs. “Robbie” (Robbie W. Haley* who is Administrative Assistant to Sheriff Dennis Darby) in Panola was contacted for permission to lay a poinsettia Christmas temporary memorial for Jessica.

Sheriff’s Darby's Offices position was nothing would be allowed, and anything left to memorialize Jessica Lane Chambers would be removed immediately by the Sheriff’s department personnel.

**
Later Sheriff's Office reversed itself & a temporary poinsettia memorial was permitted by Sheriff Darby on Herron Road.

"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words."

My question is since there is a vehicle maintenance shop on site and car wash for the Sheriff's Department and other county emergency vehicles.Could a trustee and special supervisor with keys take i.e.an emergency response vehicle that is there for maintenance from a neighboring municipality?I recall someone at Batesville Fire Department (Jessica's FB page)questioning why given the magnitude of the scene on Herron Road they were not summoned by emergency response personnel to the CS instead of the Pope Fire Department?(the comment could have just been generic grousing;nothing of substance to it) Is there a maintenance log to account for other Panola Municipalities vehicles taken out of service to be washed or mechanically checked out?

I am trying to get my head around the entire County,State and Federal Panola County Detention Center housing 120 inmates daily allowing 30 of their inmates to be trustees and not identifying who are the trustee supervisors? I don't find this information on the website. Is there a person in the media who could ask Sheriff Darby?

These are my questions & I am pleading to Sheriff Darby for some much needed transparency from his office.

Please do do not repost please link to Webseluths.
