Ha! They all seem to acquire those phony glasses at trial! He sure appears older than his years!

Someone in and out of jail and prison has that look.

Yay! Therese is back.

On another note, it was "cute" for a little bit when Douglas says, "yes sir" and "no sir", but now it's getting to be a bit much. IMOO :/

Therese Apel? Well where are her tweets? Why are there no tweets coming through? :pullhair: Why is no one tweeting!!!!! :tantrum: :gaah:

EDIT: I just realized how rude that sounds. Apologies PeteThomasFan. Not directing my questions at you in anyway--just frustrating no one *not members of WS* (our reputable source/s) for not having tweeting what's going on in the courtroom.

No one questioning QT would know what his levels of cognitive, comprehension or processing skills might be, not without testing to determine all of that. IMO, he was an adult who absolutely knew right from wrong. He knew truth from lies and he chose to lie repeatedly. He was legally given his Miranda rights 3 times and signed 3 forms, all on separate days. He knew full well he had the right to stay silent and that anything he said could and would be used against him.

He appeared slow because he was being confronted with factual digital evidence and he was trying desperately to come up with another story to match and he was running out of stories.

The truth usually hangs together. Lies fall apart.

Rowlette says it took weeks to analyze data from phone. He says there were no Eric's or Derrick's anywhere #JessicaChambers @LocalMemphis

Paul (I'm gonna use his first name, which is actually his middle name, but what he goes by). They had nearly 800 physical paper pages after the phone dump. Went through every page, even had interns come in to help.

In the 30 days prior to her death, NO phone calls or texts to or from an Eric or Derrick.

Found out out of 800 friends, she has two friends named Eric. Paul is starting to talk about the investigation of those two Erics.

Rowlette says through interviews they analyzed about 20,000 phone records to see if any were connected to #JessicaChambers @LocalMemphis

Paul says he initially only had phone call information (call/text logs). The actual "location" information takes a lot longer to get, so that's why he didn't analyze it until much, much later. October?

Just like to say...thank you for keeping us up-to-date with what's going on in the courtroom, TTF14. The lack of tweets coming through somewhat frustrates me! Also other members who've up-dated-us from time to time..a huge thank you!

Starting a PowerPoint presentation that will depict JC's and QT's phone calls/locations. Long presentation.....close to 100 slides.

This helps (or should help) illustrate to case watchers and followers why it takes a long time in some cases to get to the point of an arrest. I've often seen complaints about how "nothing is being done" when in truth investigations are not public knowledge.

Going through thousands of phone calls, gigabytes of data, interviewing upwards of 150 people takes time. We live in a society that often expects quick results ("just add water & stir"), or people see a case solved in 42 min on their favorite fictional crime show, and then expect real life to operate almost as fast.

Imagine having to dig through 20,000 phone calls and texts.

RTT=Range to Tower (this is a Verizon term). I think this is basically the "handshake" they talked about before. The tower "guessing where the phone is." Wrong sometimes. Hopefully right more than wrong. Explaining this to the jury. This is going to be the technical part I may zone out on lol.....it's basically teaching the jury how they got this information and what it means.

Exactly. We saw this in the Dan Markel case and I think/hope this is what's currently going on in the Delphi murder case. In fact, I just posted about that very thing over there.

Rowlette pinpointing to jury #JessicaChambers phone data @LocalMemphis

  • #139
Paul "warns" that there is no "smoking gun" from the RTT data. Don't be expecting some kind of big reveal in these 96 slides.

  • #140
Paul: "Where does the phone company think she is when I know where she is?" This is where he started in his analysis. Showing these consistencies to the jury and explaining his color coding process on this map.
