OMG OMG OMG! I am so glad that the first trial ended in mistrial rather than acquittal!! Now, they can take him back with additional evidence and get justice!

If Jimmie is the bad b*tch we all know he was, there will be DNA under his fingernails. Time for TH to be convicted. He should be scared.
I'm
Great sleuthing!!
Thank you!
This case is near to my heart and near to my home as well.
I feel his mothers hurt and hope that they get the Justice they all deserve.

Do you think the accused disclosed the place where the victim was buried/hidden?

I mean,
suddenly the victim is found after so much time when the alleged perp is charged.

Or the searches were constant - IDK.

Or was the victim found by chance by somebody?

I sporadically check this thread
just looking for updates,
and I could have missed some info.

So much time has passed.

I'm glad that the family can at last bury their loved one.

RIP Jimmie.

JMO
I think it was a miracle by happenstance!
He would never tell where he hid Jimmie Lee.
The missing 2 hour timeframe (7:18 -9:19 pm) was not picked up by GPS. (He left the phone at his parents home)
But now that they know where the box truck went they can interview new people or perhaps gain more leads for that time period.

I would be shocked if he ever told... I don't think he ever would either. Not after his defiant attitude and premeditation IMO.

“Our main priority has always been to bring Jay Lee home. We, like the public, are anxiously awaiting updates and ask for patience as the investigative process unfolds,” Oxford Police Chief Jeff McCutchen said

Sheriff Clint Walker of Carroll County confirmed to FOX13’s sister station, The Delta News, that a piece of jewelry found with the body had Lee’s name on it.

According to news reports, a group of hunters discovered human remains on Saturday in Carroll County, accompanied by a gold necklace inscribed with the name Jimmie “Jay” Lee.

This! Also, it will be interesting to see if he has any ties to that acreage.Did he choose it randomly? The remains were found by hunters, so I'm left to wonder just how wooded the area is. It's pretty risky to go poking around on someone's rural private property unless you have some knowledge of at least the lay of the land. Or, does he know the owners or has he visited there before? What familiarity, if any, does he have with this area? I look forward to getting the answers to these questions.

I am as well. I think that there may be some connection because they still have not disclosed the exact location but I could be wrong.
Don't think I am allowed to provide a link but if you Google Carroll County MS Tax Assessor, you will see a Data Systems Mgmt link. Type in last name...... see what you find ;)

Rest in power, baby. I haven’t posted here but have been following the case and I’m grateful not only that his remains have been found, but also by people outside of the case. There is nothing left for his killer to bargain with. Retry him, and nail him to the wall.

"The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has always been very forthcoming with members of the press in our state by way of Press Releases. This particular investigation is a multi-agency effort and those agencies have agreed that any and all information will be released to the public by cooperation between themselves. It is regretful that a member of the press has chosen to run with a story that has not been confirmed. Identification of bodies is based on much more science than a mere picture that has not been verified by any of the agencies involved. It is a shame to burden family members of potential victims before certain identification has been made."

"Mississippi Today firmly stands by our reporting, certainly despite this blatant and unfortunate mischaracterization of our story by the Carroll County sheriff," Mississippi Today Editor-in-chief Adam Ganucheau said in a statement to the Clarion Ledger.

After 2 1/2 years, Jimmy Jay Lee’s remains have been found

McCutchen said additional works remain on the case and no other details are being released at this time. The cause of death was not provided by OPD.

It has given me some solace knowing that TH is more than likely worried and in fear right now.

I hope the not knowing is eating him up.
I hope he stays awake at night.
I hope he has to endure every struggle Jay Lee's Mom had to deal with!
