Geez... did someone show up at his home and ask for help, but then it turned out to be some nefarious ruse?

Oh, this doesn't sound good.

Doesn’t sound good at all. Especially since it says he may have impaired judgement. I really hope someone didn’t use a ruse to get him out of the house.

So is there one person involved in this, or two? That's not the same man that they had as a POI in an earlier post!

What an awful and horrific thing to happen to a man who went to help someone. I wonder if he knew one or both of them? Did one of them call him personally to ask him for help, to draw him out of the house in a hurry, thinking he was saving them?
It looks like Harris' car broke down and the victim took him to Byram. There’s a piece missing in the puzzle. Either these two worked as a team or the car incident was completely unrelated.

Burned truck of missing man found, Silver Alert issued for Raymond man
Harris' car broke down on the morning in question, not far from Qualls home.

Qualls took him to Byram to get help. Qualls called his family around 6:15 am to tell them he was coming home but never returned.

Sheriff Victor Mason says Harris has had brushes with the law in the past.

This is really bugging me.

I hope this doesn't sound insensitive discussing such a tragedy but I'm guessing that since the burned car and the deceased have already been found and at least one person has been arrested we can surmise that the perpetrators are not "organized" or "smart" and this case will be fully resolved quickly.

Just so dang sad ! Just trying to be kind can cost you everything. I'm guessing at least one of these pukes was known to him. Lord Bless and Keep you Stoney. Prayers for him,his family and friends. Such a shame... Moo
