Missing Kemper County man (wtok.com)

A Kemper County family has not seen or heard from their loved one for over a month now.

• Zachery Bourrage, 48, well known as “Playboy” was last seen in Kemper County on January 30th.
• Zachery depended on an SSI check as his only source of income. His check was cashed at the beginning of February by his girlfriend.
• His daughter, TB says the person who cashed the check has stopped communicating with their family.
• “His SSI check was cashed February 1st. It has been cashed.” Buie said, “Since it has been cashed, the person has admitted to the law enforcement that she cashed it.”
• Since it is illegal to cash another person’s check, Kemper County Sheriff James Moore says the individual had to have help doing so.
• “The second check, maybe the March check, his last recent check is picked up and being held by the family.” Moore said, “So, therefore they haven’t heard from their loved one concerning his check. That’s alarming.”
• “We have not found any information leading to any foul play. I’m not saying that has been totally ruled out,” Moore said.
• Zachery’s 2009 silver Honda Accord is missing as well.
• He needs medication daily for several life-threatening medical conditions.
• His wife, MB says she can’t sleep or work until she knows where he is.
• “I’m tired of riding looking for him. He has kids worried.” Bourrage said, “And I can’t half do my job without waiting on the worst call.”
• The family is offering a $1,000 reward.

LE doesn't think foul play is involved yet they have stated "it's alarming" that the family hasn't heard from him about the March check. I wonder if perhaps LE thinks he's on the run? He was arrested back in Aug 2020 for felony fleeing and had already had a Kemper County felony warrant for his arrest. I can't imagine those cases have already been resolved. I wish I knew how to find the status of those cases, but I don't.

I imagine they cannot yet rule out that he is, in fact, on the run. If he is, he'll turn up for that March check eventually. Hopefully he wasn't taken out in order to get the check, but sadly, it does happen.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark shared that Neshoba and Kemper Sheriff’s offices reported the Silver Honda Mr. Bourrage was seen driving was located on January 31st around 7:30pm. The vehicle was found abandoned on County Road 729 in Neshoba. Scent tracking dogs were at the scene as part of a search this past Sunday.

If you saw Mr. Bourrage walking that night or have any information about his disappearance, call East Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 1-855-485-8477 (TIPS) or Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office at 601-656-1414.

Mr. Bourrage is a 48 year old African American man.

Tracking dogs search for missing man

The search for a Kemper County man whose vehicle was found abandoned in Neshoba County in January was stepped up Sunday when tracking dogs were brought in.

Neshoba and Kemper law enforcement authorities are searching for clues in the disappearance of Zachary Bourrage.


On Sunday, March 21, tracking dogs from Byhalia assisted in the search, said Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark.

Search Dogs South worked tracking Bourrage along Road 729 inching toward Kemper County.

Human remains identified in Neshoba County, investigation continues​

NESHOBA COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) - The Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office said the identity of human remains found on County Road 729 in April of this year was recently confirmed by Scales Biological Laboratory. The NCSO said Zachary Bourrage was last seen on Jan. 31, 2021.(WTOK)
