NJ NJ - Janaina Freire Goncalves, 48, was going through a breakup, last seen Elizabeth, night of 10 Mar 2025

Janaina was last seen publicly on March 9, training a client. According to her family, she was also spotted the next day with her husband at their apartment building, Sing La Vista Apartments. They believe she never left the building after that.

Officials have declined to answer whether Janaina’s husband is a person of interest or where the case currently stands, saying only that the investigation is ongoing.

Curious what time of day this was??

No

"La bella vita" is " beautiful life" in Italian

"La bella vista" is beautiful view in Spanish

Son speaks Portuguese, we do not know what he said or how it was translated. Cannot find "Boa vista" on map.
Thanks Seni - you are correct - I meant to write VISTA, not VITA (I hate these new "transitions lenses).

Boa Vista means beautiful view in Portuguese, he could be using it to refer to the apartment complex but why would he need to do so?

The mother, Maria Freire Gonçalves, remembers that, in the last contacts, she noticed something strange. "I noticed that she was a little stressed, but as my daughter didn't want to make me worried, she said it was because of work, the Green Card, that she didn't go out. I didn't imagine something else was happening," he said.

With the disappearance, the American police began to investigate the case. Janaína's computer and cell phone were collected in the couple's apartment and her car was found on March 10, shortly after the disappearance.

MOO, but there are some pretty compelling facts in this case that point to what happened. The only other possibility, might be self harm. Jana had been betrayed in the worst way imaginable.

I’m so sorry her family is going through this.

Her mother's comment about the green card raised some questions for me as this is the first I remember hearing about her immigration and/or work status. Was it because she may not have been legally married to her husband (if he was not legally divorced from wife No. 1 at the time) or other factors? Her leaving her computer/phone/car behind is troubling.
