MSM coverage of Baby Lisa, 10/31/11

MW is "leaking" whatever she wants. DB is "leaking" whatever she wants. The attorney's are "leaking" whatever they want.

SHOW ME one thing that LE has "leaked" in this case? LE isn't giving anyone a "scoop" they are being highly professional. Just because you have a bunch of mis-fits saying LE is saying something, doesn't mean it's true. Until I hear LE specifically confirm or deny anything, I will put my faith in them. IMO, everyone else has something to gain or lose, not LE. They just want justice for baby Lisa.

You aren't getting what I'm saying. Look at MW. If you were LE running an important investigation, would you tell her anything? She only knows what LE wants her to know. I agree with you!! LE is not giving her any scoop at all.

I simply do not know what to think any more. I am only able to come on here in spurts and catch up. The information that we are getting is baffling. I am inclined to think that much of our confusion has been caused by bad reporting. The media sensationalizes everything and it is hard to know what to believe.

Since there is one little glimmer of hope that Lisa may still be alive I shall continue to pray for her. I truly hope that her parents did not hurt her and I truly hope she will be found alive.

In the end I also hope there is resolution so that we may finally know the truth. I pray this does not go cold with no conclusion.

IMO, LE hasn't told her anything. They may have asked her about the cell phone but who knows if that is true. They may have interviewed her 4 times, but who knows if that is true. Her boyfriend might be Jersey, but who knows if that is true. LE may have told her about her number being on DB's hand, but who knows if that is true.

I do know, she has pink hair because I saw it for myself. :floorlaugh:

I don't believe LE is leaking anything or can get the ones they want to talk, and the ones they want to shut their mouths. I do know, LE is only interested in finding out what happened to Lisa, something her parents ....I'll stop right there.

The story has been updated to say the call came in between 8 and 8:30 p.m. and Megan Wright says she got the phone back between 11 and 11:30 p.m.

As the story says, Young refused tonight to tell KCTV5 about any interviews with Wright and others about the phone call or connection by any of them to Irwin and/or Bradley. He did confirm that "Jersey" had been cleared of any involvement in the disappearance of Lisa Irwin who went missing four weeks ago on Tuesday.

Is it confirmed what time the neighbor left? I don't remember if I read it or just assumed the neighbor was there until about 10:30 p.m. - the time DB first says she checked on baby lisa and went to bed. Another thought - since DB's brother is so young, could it be that he lives in the house with MW and those other 6 people? I wouldn't think he owned his own house at 20 years old, but maybe he rents or lives with his parents. Does anyone know?

MSM has named the neighbor that DB was drinking with. According to the picture I saw she is blond. She does not live with MW, she lives near DB.

I had no idea they named her. When? Did this happen while I was out with my kiddos? Do you have a link? TIA:rocker:

I wish LE would give a PC and clear up everything, but I will gladly hold on, wait and pray there is a method to all this madness, bringing this case to a close..in one way or another.

I don't think we're supposed to sleuth him on WS. But, you can look him up on whitepages.com. I'm not sure how accurate that is. :innocent:

DB talked about the "doppler pings" on the phone. She said LE showed them to her and she said that was "impossible" because the phones were restricted and did not work. She said LE was lying to her. Guess not. So not only did DB lie about the phones not working, she lied when she said LE lied to her.

Now in my experience, liars lie for two reasons - to avoid something or to gain something. So what does DB have to gain or to lose by lying? Figure that out and it should lead straight to the truth of what really happened here, and why.

The 10:30 lie is very interesting. She goes into minute detail saying she put fresh clothes on Lisa, fed her, tucked her in with her binky and Barney and that's the last time she saw her. That is a whole lot of detail for something she later admits never happened. It seems to me that 10:30 is a very sensitive time for DB since she made up such an intricate lie about it.

So what really happened at 10:30?

I always thought she was referring to when she originally put her to bed. I thought she just said she checked on Lisa at 10:30. I may be mistaken. I'm so tired and confused right now. I started at page 10 trying to catch up.:crazy:

good question.. I *think* it will. My sister wont let her kids have web service on their cell phones..but if they are near a wi-fi spot, they can get it. Im thinking the same should be true for wifi calling.

yes! My outdated iphones are essentially itouches for my kids. No data, no phone.

eta- not sure about android, but I would assume it would still work. text, data, and phone services aside.

I've seen 2 hopeful theories posted today:
1. This is all a big hoax and Baby Lisa is warm, safe, and happy.
2. Some druggies sold her to a couple... and she is warm, safe, & happy.

I believe walmart sells a pre-paid phone now for 45 dollars a month and you have unlimited minutes. That could be why MW allowed her phone to be passed around at the house.

About the woman who says LE told her that DB had her number written on her hand.

We will need to look at the Nancy Grace or JVM transcripts when they are available (JVM did both episodes tonight) but IIRC and I may be wrong it was reported that the female attn that just left the case asked DB if that were true, DB is reported to have denied it to that attn. Again we will have to wait on that transcript to see if I remember it correctly. (just checked it's not online yet).

As for LE possibly telling this woman that:

Sure. It could happen. Were they lying and trying to trick anyone? Nope probably not.

Long story short: 25+ years ago as a 20 something yr old I got a phone call that woke me up in late morning.

It was a man and he said "who is this?" I said "you called me who do you want?" (yes I was a smarty pants back then).

He said "This is detective XXXXXX with the XXXXX homicide. We found your number in the pocket of a dead girl last night.

Well that got my attention and I quit with the smartarse shenanigans---double time.

It turned out they did not find my number in the pocket of a dead girl. But they did locate my phone number in her Husband's things. I knew her of Husband through an acquaintance (I did not know he was married when he was sleeping with a friend of mine prior to that). He is the one that murdered her.

I'm just sharing this because yes LE could have told this pink haired woman that DB had her number on her hand. But we don't know the context of that convo.

It doesn't mean IMHO that LE is trying to trick anyone into anything. They were just trying to get as much info as they could from this person. JMHO.

It works---based on my personal experience.
