MSM coverage of Baby Lisa, 11/6/11

So the suspect Mr Abetta is speaking of is the man next door? Can we sleuth and speak of him yet?

I think we can all guess who is it they are suspecting. Well, sorry. A person with extensive training and ability to evade police is not going to kidnap a baby and then walk with this baby for hours, while dressed all in white. It just doesn't fit and it makes no sense whatsoever.

BBM:floorlaugh:

Well he later claims the guy has been identified in a line up. So far we only heard about one person picked in a line up.

He also implies (although doesn't say directly) that this person passed a polygraph.

So, this would mean he didn't stay at a friends house, he wasn't at the base in the morning to receive the phone call from SB. He waiting until the girls were done partying it up on the stoop, went in through the window, took Lisa, carried her down the street in his "white's", but he had on other pants, walked around the area for hours and hours, emerged from the "woods" by the gas station wearing different clothing (all white, with a vest too..haha), then went back to the base and waited for SB to call him in the a.m. WHEW, he must have been tired in the a.m. :hot:

The theory would be to kidnap Lisa, to get back at his wife for a trial separation, the counselor suggested earlier that day. Gotcha. :waitasec:

I think you are thinking that the person picked out of the lineup was SB's husband. I have been assuming it was DB's brother, PN. It's never been said who exactly was picked out of the lineup. To me, this particular story fits better if it he is talking about PN.

But after jjenny's post I did look around on some other threads and found more specific information about SB's husband that fits the occupation described in the article.

The motorcycle guy made a very curious statement how he picked someone from a line up. He claimed he picked someone they had been showing pictures of. What did he mean by that? We first assumed he picked someone whose photos police were showing around (and it looks like that was not correct), so maybe "they" weren't the police. It sure sounds to me like somebody showed motorcycle guy the pictures of the guy he then picked in a line up. How else can one interpret his statement?

"Yesterday they showed me a paper with six pictures on it," Thompson said. "And I picked out the man they had been showing pictures of."

I can't figure out who this is. It sounds like someone who is a policeman. Who fits this description?

Wow, I was thinking just the opposite. A person with prior experience in invading homes and hiding from the police...like a person with a criminal history that has served some time in the big house...

Another good article. "Scoop" Isabelle Zehnder strikes again.

Abeyta believes events that occurred the afternoon of Oct. 3, and that appear to have escalated throughout the evening and into the early morning hours of Oct. 4, could have caused the potential suspect to “snap” and act on impulse. He surmises the abduction of Baby Lisa was not planned prior to that day.

He also believes the man has the ability, through his extensive training and professional experience, to not only kidnap the baby but to evade and elude police. “This man is by no means an amateur,” Abeyta said Friday.

Abeyta's daughter, Denise Alves, who is part of his team that assists in finding missing children, said Friday, "We want police to go the extra mile with this potential suspect. We don't want, however, the suspect to be accused of something he might not have done."

Ok, so Mr. Abeyta suspects the neighbor, and has said he doesn't suspect the parents. He also has said he doesn't understand why the parents are acting the way they have,(paraphrasing) and questions their motives and choice of lawyer. If the neighbor is the perp, then why won't Debra and Jeremy answer questions ? :waitasec:

I rolled that one over in my mind, too. But the sentence in the newspaper said, He also believes the man has the ability, through his extensive training and professional experience, to not only kidnap the baby but to evade and elude police The "extensive training" sounds like a professional to me.

BBM - Maybe Motorcycle man is referring to "they" as in the media, as in, the media has been showing pictures of him, the guy, the abductor ( not intentionally, but the guy's face has shown up in media reports or in interviews inadvertently). Then Motorcycle man was shown a line up and he was able to pinpoint the guy that was shown in the media.
(Gotta go look through interviews......)

ITA. I don't think anyone is going to say that petty criminal possesses an "extensive training and professional experience."

This person could be a career criminal and could also be a past veteran with some special training.

Whatever it was, if he saw pictures of someone before being shown a line up, that could explain how he picked someone from that line up. He claims he contacted police about a week after the fact. He was not shown a line up until much later. Why? Did he tell the police right away he could ID this guy or not? Remember, memory doesn't get better with time, but just the opposite. I would really like to know what description he gave police when he contacted them first vs. the one he is telling now.

Good question!

We just read an article yesterday about a neighbor who took a LDT and said he passed.

This person could be a career criminal and could also be a past veteran with some special training.

The person they are suspecting was picked in a line up and apparently passed a lie detector test. So I really don't think he is talking about a "career criminal" here at all.

Wasn't the training and experience of the neighbor that of an MP and a some kind of specialist at Sprint ?

I would like to know that and I would also like to know the career of DB's brother--that could tell us who the suspect is.

But I do not think we can sleuth them until they have actually been named in MSM.
