MT MT - Jermain 'Liz' Morigeu (Charlo), 23, Missoula, 15 Jun 2018

  • #21
Flathead County isn't Missoula, it is the Kalispell area - or was she known to be in Missoula? The body was found near Missoula. So many Native girls going missing, so awful. I'm thinking too of Ashley Loring Heavyrunner from Browning.
Thanks for clearing that up, the original thread said "girl missing from Missoula" but the article text said Flathead County.

That's not good news. I wondered if "Liz" had gone in the water due to reports of her being intoxicated but the river wasn't super close to her last known location. However, if she was staying in one of the more popular chain motels while there many of which are NORTH of the river, she would have had to cross the river on a bridge to get there. Praying it's not her.

Another pretty brunette has gone missing in Missoula. No mention by LE if they believe cases are related. Authorities search for missing Flathead woman
This second young woman has been found in her submerged vehicle on private property. It appears the car went out of control and she ended up in the water. Her body was just recovered. So sad, but at least her family has some closure. Still praying for Jermain. https://flatheadbeacon.com/2018/08/01/body-missing-whitefish-woman-found/

I was checking back on other bodies pulled from the Clark Fork River this summer, but they were both male.

Jermain Charlo was last seen on a rainy night in June, walking west from the bars and restaurants that line Missoula’s trendy downtown district. Charlo spent that Friday night out with friends, stopping by several of the bars popular with young adults in the college town.

Shortly after midnight, Charlo left the company of her friends. She was last seen walking in the neighborhood between Orange and Russell streets, wearing jeans, cowboy boots, a grey hooded sweatshirt, and a tan and blue baseball cap.

On June 16 2018, Jermain Charlo, 23, joined the ranks of the disappeared.

Over 4 months later, search continues for missing Dixon woman
Baker says the outcome of her being found alive is slowly dwindling.

“We don’t know that and we continue to hold out hope, but it’s been four and a half months and the pattern of life drastically changed on the night of June 15, 2018,” Baker said. “There has been no activity on social media, there has been no contact with anyone she knows. I mean I hold out hope that she’s ok and she’s still alive but each day that passes kind of points to the opposite direction.”

Baker said there is no connection with Charlo’s disappearance and the recent Missoula double homicide, or the murder of William “Bill” Conko Camel near Dixon on Oct. 5.

Jermain Morigeau, who also goes by the name Liz, was last seen in Missoula, Montana between midnight and 1:00 a.m. on June 16, 2018. She’d gone out to three bars with a friend that night. Police told Dateline the person with whom Jermain was last seen said “he had dropped her off at a location and last saw her walking into the darkness.” Authorities declined to comment on the specifics of the location where Jermain was last seen, but said it was in the “general vicinity” of where she lives. Since Jermain disappeared, authorities have conducted five ground searches and questioned about a dozen people, including the person with whom Jermain was last seen. Despite these investigative efforts, none of Jermain’s belongings have been found. Detectives say they do have a suspect and evidence obtained from search warrants has been sent to the crime lab for analysis, but the results have yet to come back.

Aw, her birthday is next Tuesday, I’ll light a candle for her.
So disheartening specifically how many native women get hurt, raped, murdered or go missing. I’m in Minneapolis and it’s a huge problem here and it breaks my heart. I’ll light another candle for all the families grieving for their lost beautiful women <3
