Has she been declared deceased? Is there a death certificate?

No that was AM point. She has not been declared deceased. But the sponsor (DB) told the insurance company she was deceased and they cancelled the renter's policy on Rebekah's new residence.

Why was DB the sponsor?

Why was DB the sponsor?

Because the policy was through USAA and he would be the sponsor. Even his very short military service made him eligible for USAA insurance.

I am not familiar with this. Do they offer other forms of insurance, like life insurance for spouses, accident insurance, mortgage insurance, health insurance, etc.?

Obviously DB would have known where Rebekah was living if he had a renter's contents and liability insurance policy for her. So no need to meet up on neutral turf to pick up her bag of belongings, then. IOW, that part of the timeline falls apart.

Something caught my eye here in the transcript of AM's meeting with the county commissioners.

"It’s also my understanding that St. John’s fishing access appears to be owned by Montana Fish Game and Wildlife. Why was the state not invited?"

It's my understanding that Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks (FWP) reports directly to the governor.

Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks - Wikipedia

It is also my understanding that they investigate cases occurring on their property, such as poaching.

Maybe the governor should be called upon to explain.

Who can investigate insurance fraud in Montana? Would that include licensed private investigators?

don't know about MT but most states have an Insurance Commissioner - if it's not them they should know who it is - AG may handle insurance fraud. IANAExpert

Thank you. I found this.

USAA - Wikipedia

They really offer everything: banking, investments, brokerage, retirement accounts and car insurance.

Simply put, there is an man who threatened, for several days, to drown his wife and dog. Dog was found in the river, and the wife's body has not been found, but thought to be in the river. Why this would be seen as an accidental drowning defies logic.

I wanted to share that the montanafoia.org attorney emailed me and offered to write a letter that he normally writes to the record custodian before he files suit, to see if that will spur them to release the 911 call transcript.

I hope this is going to work!

Yes USAA does have all those insurance coverages available. Sometimes they are less expensive than other insurance carriers but not always. I suspect in Rebekah's case, USAA came in with the lowest rate to provide insurance coverage on her rental.

I will have to check with AM but I believe she did a letter campaign to all elected officials all the way up to the Governor. But the fact that the incident happened on Montana Fish Widlife & Parks property wasn't known to her until I shared with her the pictures on Alberton's facebook page that someone shared here.

Correct but only for military and their dependents. Unfortunately even DB's short lived military service qualified him for USAA.

I see the governor's attitude toward grizzlies is putting him at loggerheads with the institutions whose duty it is to protect wildlife, including FWP, the irony being that this is the University of Montana team name. I guess they could pick a new name, like U of M Trout, but I digress.

Valley Press features a listing of Law Enforcement calls titled Mineral County Law Round Up. I believe Valley Press is a weekly paper. This July 28 issue shows a response to MM 72: Suspicious Activity, I-90 EB MM 72, Deputy responded. AM remembers seeing this previously listed as 911 response now listed as suspicious activity. No screen shots were taken of the previous wording. BUT what we also see of interest is another entry: Suspicious Activity, I-90 EB MM 75, Deputy responded. This is just 3 miles east of MM 72. We wonder if it had anything to do with the call at MM 72? Does anyone know how to find out? Unfortunately times are not provided.
