Just my feelings and my opinion....Sorry people....I can't keep up with the content of this thread for many reasons....I really want Rebekah's body to be found. I think she is no longer among us. What caused her death?...many theories are running around in my head...drowning? Maybe, but somehow unlikely...Why didn't her body turned up by now, like so many others who drowned in this river. Killed by her estranged husband or an accomplice? Possible... IMO LE didn't looked into that angle enough...Trafficking....possible but very unlikely...Suicide? no way...Getting away on her own account? Very unlikely..she would have taken her dog with her...etc, etc....

So was Rebekah going missing a crime...own account, suicide or an accident?

BBM, I just wanted to respond to this part of your post, it's not uncommon for bodies to not be found right away. I was trying to find a specific case from when I lived in the area of a young man who was witnessed falling into the river and it took a year before his body was found.

Anyway, I couldn't find that specific case, but this is another case that isn't the Clark's Fork, but Remains found near river identified as Yellowstone employee | ktvb.com this man wasn't found for 3 years after he went into the river.

I sincerely hope Rebekah's remains are found soon.

Mr. Mateer, who describes himself as a citizen journalist, stated in an interview that there might be a link between meth and RB's disappearance. Mr. Mateer, in my opinion, engages in conspiracy theories, of all sorts, nothing in the interview relates to RB's disappearance.
I don't understand why he would think the LifeGuard Group, which is an education, outreach and support program, would have the resources to look for a missing person, so I don't understand the suspicion he casts on them. One person, saying that they as a private citizen showed up for a search, doesn't have to be proved to Mr. Mateer.
LifeGuard makes presentations at High Schools and distributes posters, and has a victim's hotline, amongst other things. From the website: "80% of victims end up back in their trafficker's hands because of the lack of available resources. A victim will return to their pimp/exploiter an average of seven times before she stays out of the life 75% of trafficking survivors noted that housing was the greatest area of need when trying to get out of the sex trade life."
The safehouse, which Mateer describes as suspiciously "too nice", is to provide housing for those wanting to transition out of the sex industry. The TownPump corporation simply made a donation, not the individual gas station in Superior. I don't see the need to throw this program's personnel under the bus because they didn't help with a missing person case.

One person, saying that they as a private citizen showed up for a search, doesn't have to be proved to Mr. Mateer.

Actually I have a personal message from Lowell Hochhalter, Executive Director, The Lifeguard Group, claiming to " have been involved in searches for Rebekah on several occasions". He Further states in the message, " I can assure you that there has been land searches done. We were on site on two occasions....we are certainly at the ready to help when a directed search comes about". According to Mr Mateer's interview with AM, this isn't true, meaning The Lifeguard Group was not involved in searches. There were no ground searches performed except in the immediate area of boat launches. That is hardly a land search in my opinion.

The Lifeguard Group was not involved in searches
According to Mateer, AM made multiple requests for assistance to Lifeguard Group, who said they weren't able to help. Mateer describes how he confronted Hochhalter in his office. Hochhalter said he himself had been a volunteer at one of the searches. Since he can't state the exact date he was there, Mateer implies he might be lying.

So Hochhalter feels he was a representative of his group on the two or three search days he said he volunteered. AM feels the group was not involved in searches, as her request for help was declined.

It appears that Hochhalter was responding to requests from AM for some type of land search assistance from Lifeguard Group and he answered that he had seen people doing "land searches". I don't see this as some sort of lie for the purpose of denying assistance when they don't do search and rescue or missing person investigations. I don't see where this has impacted any search decisions.
Since this organization is not responsible for what types of searches are done, Hochhalter's opinion of a land search, isn't really relevant.

I just don't see any of this justifying Mateer's questioning of the funding and use of a "too nice" transitional housing for victims escaping the sex trade.

Hochhalter was replying to my request for land search assistance. AM and others may have requested assistance as well but I can only share what he wrote to me. If they don't do search and rescue or missing person investigations for potential human trafficked missing people, why would he assure me that there have been land searches done and that they (The Lifeguard group) were on site on two occasions....and that they are certainly at the ready to help when a directed search comes about? I'll go back and look at the original Mineral County Sheriff posts about who what called in to assist in searching but I don't recall the Lifeguard Group being mentioned.

I believe Hochhalter's opinion of land search is relevant especially since there is this continued confusion about whether they were involved or not or as well as if this is there forte'.

In the end this all just points back to the fact that Rebekah's missing person case was mishandled from the very beginning. There should have never been so much assumed by the Sheriff and all possible scenarios surrounding her disappearance should have been considered. I believe that is the point that Mr. Mateeer continues to make in his reporting. I believe he has had one podcast and one other written report you might refer to.

It appears the new PI has discovered something they believe is relevant to Rebekah's missing case. The family is asking anyone that was at Council Grove State Park on July 2, 2021 around 3pm to 4pm to come forward. They want to know if anyone saw Rebekah's car, a 2014 Silver Passat? Or, if they saw a specific van or other cars there? AM has already spoken to the owner of the van and they have confirmed Rebekah leaving a note stating that someone was throwing rocks at Cerberus. There is also a crack in Rebekah's windshield. They want to know if someone threw rocks at her car as well? There are photos of the Van and cracked windshield on Rebekah's car taken on July 2, 2021 at 3:40pm.

Interesting. Could be anything from "not raised right" kids to malicious harassment by a known party. The pics were on her phone?

I am not sure where the pictures are from. What I shared is all I know at this time.

Rebekah's parents have privately hired (at their expense) Northstar SAR. They will search during the month of March. Primarily they will search the river. I'm told if Northstar doesn't find Rebekah, she is not in the river.

Just to clarify the context of this, are we looking at the van as a potential witness or a suspect nature

In addition, the photo of Rebekah in her car with Cerb, is that a newer or older picture, if its newer could the location of the image be discerned via any means (exif data, geolocation via the reflected image in her sunglasses, etc) and could the location/time of this image be relevant

To be honest I don't get the story completely. Did the van-owner came forward now because Rebekah witnessed someone damaged the van on July 2nd? And she left a note under his/her windshield stating that somebody threw rocks at Cerberus and damaged the van while doing that? And now they asking for possible other witnesses who were there that day and saw somebody throwing rocks to Cerb but also to her/her car, wanting to identify this person?

According to the Find Rebekah Barsotti FB page, run by her family, Find Rebekah Barsotti this picture was taken on 7/20/2021. It was used in (one off) the very first missing persons flyers, because it was thought she was wearing the clothes seen in the picture when she went missing. I'm not sure how the family got it. It think it's a selfie. In the reflection of the sunglasses there seems to be her arm. Maybe Rebekah send the pic to her mother that day, but I'm not sure about that.

The only info I know from the July 2 info is what I have shared. I apologize.

The picture of Rebekah and Cers in the vehicle was a selfie taken the day they went missing at approximately 1:00 pm.

Looking on google maps along I-90 between superior and Alberton there are a couple places it looks like the pic was taken.

I appreciate the cleanup of this photo. I will be in the area next weekend and will be doing an extensive driving/ situational timeline of the day she went missing. As this photo is thought to have been taken at 1 pm, and I can find this location, it should help in the timeline of events that day.
