Why make your little girl look anything other than the beautiful child she is?
Because that pageant scene calls for it. BTW, that mom should save the 300 Euros and get her face a make over.
May I say it was brave of Bamabeauty to share her thoughts and experinces with us. There's whopping money in that pageant business, and it's those organizers are the ones making it. A pair of "Flippers" alone is a ton of money. You certainly don't want your kid missing a tooth or anything.

ON an aside and I may get jumped on as well in my heart I think some of the parents and particularly the mom's of these kids and it's not only girls have a great interest in their child to succeed. Face it that it takes an awful lot of time, money and emotion to share in that pageant experience.
Once. I'm telling you once through dance school I did it with my child. Heck, twelve other mom's signed on up. You know how stupid I felt? You pay them to put your child into a contest that judges things like hair color, and best sportswear outfit. I walked out and the kids actually think it's fun some of them. If all your little girlfriends are doing it then sure it looks fun.
Well, once I heard "This is little Brittney and her eyes are blue and her hair is blonde....." and saw the judges study the kid I thought "What in God's name is this saying? Your worth is all in how you look and your poise is faked? What in the h*ll happens if one of these kids loses and eye or is burned or something? Then what? They're done for life?"
Bama, in no way am I saying this is you. I've seen friends and how much time and energy and money they put into their kids. They truly enjoy it. However, and you are honest I'm betting you saw kids get their hair yanked and I don't just mean brushing it hard. Again, I only witnessed the action once but one mom called the kid a F'ing w*ore, and an aunt had to step in so she didn't kill the child. I know this can be in other activities like sports. I do get that. However, it just blew me away the whole experience.
The very BEST? Little INFANTS. Mom's carrying these tiny babies who get judged. It was almost comical if it wasn't so sad. Again, not judging Bama, and I know in the South pageants are much more competitive. Just in my opinion "Barbie Doll" there in the UK's weave looks like awful.
