SS - I was thinking vac too.
Although at first glance my warped mind silently yelled out FAKE FICA TREE!

I read a forensic book once that said the majority of crime scenes were attempted to be cleaned with a vacuum. I think its standard for them to take the vac.

Hi SweetyHide :)

I love your 'To Do' List! :D

I noticed it the other day and wanted to comment, but there was a furious pace of posts, so decided not to! (tis quiet now!)

Good morning!
I was doing some work on the computer last night when Greta spoke to Nancy's friend, Jessica Adam or Adams on the phone during her show. After a minute, her friends voice made me stop and look at the TV. Of course her answers to Greta were sort of evasive because LE has probably asked her not to talk about certain aspects of the case.
What I find odd is that she said that she was not at the party, but did call with Nancy about 10:30 PM. Okay, then did Nancy have her purse and her cell phone at the party with her and take a call at that time? Since Jessica said that she had spoken with Nancy at that time, and we all know that Brad said Nancy did not get home from the party until midnight, I think it very odd that the friend was not at the party and called Nancy at the party. If you had a friend that was supposed to come to your home the next day, would you be calling her the night before at a party? Wasn't Jessica in Nancy's circle of friends? Wonder why she didn't go to the party? And now she is the person that reported Nancy missing.
I am a very suspicious person by nature. The friends voice (Jessica's) just made me feel suspicious. I would not call even a good friend at 10:30 at night and especially at a party.
I am purely speculating here. All I am saying is my opinion only. I may get a backlash from this post, but I just have a funny feeling about this friend. Maybe she is a better friend to Brad. Pure speculation on my part. I do not mean that I think anyone other than Brad killed her.

At least LE will have the phone records. I wonder where Nancy's cell phone is? I do not jog, but I walk with a group of friends at a track. All of us either have our cell phones clipped to our waistband, or have earbuds to our phone. I wonder if Nancy usually ran with her cell with her. I also would like to know how debilitating the disease Nancy had was.

Maybe we will get some answers today!

Hi LaLaw :)

Wow! When it is put that way, it sure makes you do a double-take on the situation!

I wonder how close they were? Some close friends call each other several times a day and if they know each others' routine, they will call late, too! (In my experience).
Or, maybe as you questioned....she was closer to Brad than Nancy?

As far as going jogging with nothing goes, 2 of my siblings do running training 6 times a week. They both go 'bare'...no water, no phone etc.

Wasn't it a neighborhood "block party"? Does Jessica even live in the neighborhood? If not, she might not have been invited.

Just a thought.

Also, even if she called her AT a party, if she called on her cell she might not have realized that she (Nancy) was at a party.

Just another thought.

I heard it was a party with a group of friends. I have never read it was a block party. Wonder where that came from? I have seen the party referred to a block party on this board, just not in print or being said on TV.

Hi, I'm one of the new people here and have read all the threads. What a nice bunch of intelligent posters come to websleuths! I'm glad I registered here.

I think it was strange that BC was wearing long sleeves (I forget what day) too, but if you look at one of those pictures as he's coming out the door of his house with two LE behind him, LE are wearing long sleeve dress shirts too. 'Course the LE are on duty with a dress code to attend to, but BC isn't. But he is quite used to wearing this type of outfit I am positive. My son is an IT, and he wears his Dockers a lot, even on off-time. Even tho he looks like he is dressed too hot.

I once read a book about raising children, and the author said in a humorous way that if mother ever has to go to the school because of any problem, to be sure to wear a dress and a red hat. Her point was, if you show up dressed in at least as fashionable and formal attire as the principal is wearing, you will be more credible and it also raises your own respect for yourself as you are discussing the problem. Well once I had to do it and it was good advise!

I'm sure BC knew this without reading it in a how-to book, as his aspirations toward success and leadership are very very obvious. I will be interested to find out if he had scratches or injuries on his arms however .:cat:

Same, LaLaw

Only on here have I seen it referred to as a block party.

BTW Welcome, headndownstream :)

The good thing is that LE will certainly be obtaining and reviewing all known phone records. That should be quite interesting. If JA was more friendly with BC, then maybe JA was just checking to see if Nancy was still at the party.

Welcome, headndownstream! I am pretty new here myself. Yes, this is the best board anywhere!

Brad had on shorts, teeshirt, and a cap on one of the search days. He mentions something to someone about itching and hoped it wasn't poison ivy. I wonder if he has scratches, a rash, or just redness from BLEACH.

I do not trust Brad no matter what he is wearing. However, I do understand what you are saying, headndownstream. I do not think Brad's manner of dressing has or will help him very much. Clothes do not mask a 'Scott Peterson' face!

Yes, Taximom. I just cannot get over that phone call to Nancy from JA. Notice JA did not say WHY she had called Nancy at that hour. Makes me wonder.

Whew! I finally got through all these posts! You almost have to sit by the computer 24/7 just to keep up with all this! There has certainly been a flurry of activity on this discussion. Great posts from all of you.

Regarding his mode of dress, I don't find it odd at all. As an executive, I wear long sleeve shirts every day. On days that I'm off, if I jump out of bed and immediately go to doing things around the house, I'll quickly put on whatever shirt I had on the previous day (don't judge me for that - it's just quick and easy until I have time to shower and dress for the day! My dad does the same thing).

On the other side, he could very well be hiding defense scratches on his arms, but I'm not as quick to think it odd that he's hiding something and that it immediately sends up a red flag.

The smoking gun is his trip to the store at 4am (supposedly) and single purchase of detergent with bleach, according to our source who posted this information early on. That's the single most damning piece of evidence, coupled with hubby's failure to report her missing.

I knew you knew that! I'm just implying there might have been a reason for JA to see if Nancy was still at the party. Maybe JA was with BC.

Hi TM:blowkiss:. Your right about them carefully reviewing phone records, that will be very interesting. I wonder if Brad talked to his honey that day at all.

I agree with you, NCBanker, on the part regarding the purchase of detergent with bleach if, in fact, that is what Brad bought and it is on video at that time, and also the failure to report Nancy missing. It is damning, IMO, tho.

This guy had everything going for him. He had a beautiful wife, two beautiful daughters, a great job, and a beautiful home. Why jeopardize all of this in a fit of anger?

I am one who feels Brad is responsible for Nancy's murder. Can't help it!

:)
