Am I wrong or did I read in my sleep deprived delirium that a search warrant was executed on said woman's home and cell phone records- who is she, if it is not sealed, it's public record.

I think I was sleeping too...my eyes are also crossing and my :behind: has long since fallen asleep. I guess we got some digging to do SS

BTW...did anyone get donuts? Pass me one...plllleeeaassseeee :froggie:

Thanks, WindChime!

Philamena, I wasn't fast enough to bring over the photo you posted from the newsobserver, but could you repost it here..please? I was trying to figure out what the object were they were carrying out. One looked possibly like a pillow and the tall one may be a lamp. Thanks!!

I went in another direction, lol.
I'm guessing a shotgun and bed or sofa cushions.

Hey, a Funny IT Guy- good for you!!
Kidding, but to clarify, he was at the store at 4am without his children who were home alone and as LE suspected from the tape, the fact that he would do that is huge, that and why lie about the time?

They weren't left home alone. Their mother was there :waitasec:

I think that may have been a post relating to the woman who was having an affair with Michelle Young's husband.

Below is a link to todays presser. It was stated only one search warrant issued today and it was for Brad. Of course we could find out tomorrow AM that more were issued since this mornings presser.

In the slide show on the news and observer page, it looks like the CCBI is giving the SUV a very careful look... I guess they do not suspect that the body was levitated to the discovery point.

I am not sure though, after the Durham case of Mike Peterson, there were some who disagreed with the guilty verdict in the case, and were making the argument that the wounds on the victim's head could be consistent with those made during an owl attack! Ok, I saw the autopsy report on that, and I can see how the wound patterns COULD have been caused by an attacking owl. Owls do sometimes attack people, but this happened inside her house, on a narrow staircase. Still, let us consider the possibility of an owl attack. Did we find any evidence that an owl had been in the house? (no), any feathers? (no) Did anyone see an owl? (no) OTOH, luminol did find evidence that a large amount of blood on the kitchen floor had been cleaned before the arrival of the PD and EMS.... so, let me see, the invisible owl attacked her inside her house, while her husband sat by the pool outside. The husband did not hear any screams, or see an owl, or hear any noise while his wife fell down the stairs. Then the owl cleaned up his feathers, cleaned up some of the blood, and slipped out of the house, leaving the husband to discover the body a short while later.... right? OK, now I know that owls are supposed to be wise, but this thing had to be darn near a genius! To kill the lady of the house and frame the husband at the same time! WOW!

An owl attack! Hahahaha~ I watched that case a bit, but never heard that! I have to file this one under, "Ya gotta be kiddin' me!". How did they explain his other wife's death? (Wasn't he the one that both died in similar ways?)

"Levitated", you said. LMAO You are a funny guy for an IT.

Yes...I did notice they were paying particular attention to detail on his vehicle...especially the undercarriage, tires, and the cargo area inside.

Thanks for reposting that photo. Look carefully at the bottom of the long object. It looks solid and rectangular. It is thin where he is holding it then as it goes up and just slightly outward...it is still not as solid or large. Can't be a shotgun. Much too long for fireplace tools. A bed or sofa cushion doesn't taper and neither would a valance. (I think it is a cushion, pillow, or comforter in the one the officer in the front has in his right hand tho.)

I don't know why I am stuck on this other than to try to figure out what room it came from and what it is. This will give us a better indication of where they are concentrating for a crime scene, imo.

LOL SS! Yeah..it was an owl, in the woods, with it's talons. Or.. It was Colonel Mustard, in the library, with the candlestick...

Car detail...I noticed that too:waitasec: Especially the undercarriage behind the right front wheel hub (inside). It would fit...he drove down the road turned left into the cds where there was lots of silt and dirt, dumps, contines around the little circle and back out....The right side of the car would be the side facing the dump site..

hmmm

just a thought

If this man is totally innocent, aren't they carrying out an extraordinary amount of "potential evidence"? I would think if they didn't find anything...they would test a few areas with luminol, check out the obvious places, and take out things like computers and other items they needed to go through at the lab.

SS, Exactly sista! This is the biggest "rule out" I have ever seen with no poi named! Do you think it is because of flight risk to canada?

  • #155
WOW, I just now caught up from where I left off last night. Very good info posted here tonight. I was really hoping to hear of an arrest or at least name a POI.

  • #156
Nurse~ You could be right about that! Unless they only showed us the photos while they were on the one side of the car.

Did you notice that two of the detectives were only wearing their white sox while standing at the back of the vehicle looking at the cargo area? I wonder why?!

Just a minor point of clarification. The other dead was not his wife, but a "friend" when they were in Germany. I did not gather from the information that I heard if there was more than a casual friendship going on, but yes, she was killed in a fall down the stairs that was ruled an accident at the time. In light of more recent events, it started to look a little TOO coincidental, and there were a lot of similarity in the circumstances. Now, I am not sure about you, but I do not personally know anyone who was killed in a fall down some stairs, nor am I aware of any friends or family that I have who know anyone who died in this manner. It is possible that Mike Peterson has very personal knowledge of two people who have died in this manner, but it DOES sound unlikely.

Thanks for the comments on the attempts at humor.... I try to see the funny side of things, if I can. I do not mean any disrespect to the subject matter, but it is a pretty heavy topic without something to lighten the mood once in a while. and I do find some of the things that folks have used as a possible alibi quite funny.

OT/ Supposedly true: A flea bag wino motel caught fire, and subsequently killed several people in the hotel. They caught the person that the felt was the cause of the fire, and he also lived in the motel, but did not set the fire on purpose, he was drunk and fell asleep while smoking in bed. He escaped the fire, and was brought up on charges. His excuse? He told the judge :"Your honor, it was not my fault, that matress was on fire when I laid down on it!"

But how do we know he told LE he bought bread and milk at 6 AM ? LE have not stated this as a fact or even been ask about this and this time line.

They were ask did he buy cleaning supplies.

  • #159
Well..I could be mistaken as the reporter, Linda Silver (?) on HDLN just said they only took out six bags of evidence to be tested.
