My opinions about people associated with this case have changed almost as often as a traffic light. It has brought out the best and the worst in everyone and we have had a front row seat to see it all. I am trying to sit back and watch for a while because so many things are happening so quickly that my mind keeps jumping from admiration to disappointment and then back again, depending on the player and facts that are as murky as the water those poor divers were working in today.

I'm so glad LP didn't lower himself when he responded to TM's accusations. . . . I've decided to concentrate on the positives for now -- just in case I have to eat my words tomorrow!

Not only stopped the search for Caylee but wasn't TES supposed to be searching for Jennifer K as well? What happened to that? What about her family who has done nothing wrong that I am aware of?

Yea - What happened to Jennifer Kesse????

Feel free to look on the website, he was a volunteer with TES, and stated that he took care of the horses. On the website his place was listed for those who wanted to board their horses during the search.

he was at the search today, hassling murt, he wore a cowboy hat, everyone was calling him Dennis.

How come sonar didn't pick up that bag of toys? Sonar didn't find that bag of toys, divers did. What else did sonar possibly miss?

:clap::clap: Excellent Point. :clap::clap:

If, God forbid, an alligator took most of Caylee who is not to say all that was left was some tiny bones and discarded toys? Technology is good but the operators are only human.

That was my first thought when Tim Miller initially stated that he believed the river to be 'clear' because he'd searched that section with side-scan sonar - whether it could "see" under the mud and silt on the riverbed.

Thanks for the link. Now I'm puzzled as to why Tim seems so convinced that there would be no value in doing a hands-on search of the river bottom.

Because Cindy said "leave"

Because he got $12.5k check...?

I don't care if LP really did say that. Nonprofit charities like TES always need more money. Any story like this with international media staying power draws money. However, as a Bounty Hunter, LP is more comfortable than the general public with discussing dead bodies, skulls and the like. Law enforcement has something they call "dark humor" that would shock the public if stated out of context. It appears LP was trying to convince TM to stick it out and stay and search with him. Perhaps LP was trying to add some support for TM, who was always being bashed by CA. Apparently, LP didn't get the memo from MN that CA and TM were making nicey nicey again. There is at least some little element of betrayal for TM to repeat that statement out of context to the media in an effort to put LP in the worst light possible. So, who was searching for Caylee today? CA? No. TM? No again. LP? Yes! That's right! The only thing he mentioned that the public could contribute was a few sandwiches, bottled water and soda pop. That's not making tons of money, now is it?

Thank you, Themis, I totally agree with all of this.

If LP in fact told TM on Sunday what his "script" was, why did TM wait until AFTER the fact to say something? Why didn't he say it on Sunday???

That's weird too, everyone involved with the A's all have scripts. A script for this a script for that...WTH?

Through a U.S. Department of Homeland Security grant obtained in the spring of 2004, the Missouri State Water Patrol received money to purchase sophisticated side-scan sonar equipment capable of finding underwater bombs, improvised explosives, and other devices that could pose a risk to bridges, dams, and other structures. Fortunately, it also can locate a human body on the bottom of a lake or river.

Could it be TM is embarrased by the anemic turnout of searcher for what was billed as the search of the century? Still no reason to sling mud at LP.

Except LP is the one who kept spouting on TV that there were going to be 10,000 people there for the search...........bounty hunters from all over. TM
never stated that.

By all means, if he wants to search, he should search but he needs to do it without the hype that keeps us (me anyway) on this emotional roller coaster.

Respectfully snipped.

The only way I followed the search all day today was through Murt or here. Nobody made me stay glued to the computer screen. LP certainly did not.

I havent watched NG yet, gonna catch the 2nd run at 9 here.....

From what you all have said about TM and the "skull" comment, I am just SICK! Reguardless if LP said this or not NONE OF US KNEW ABOUT IT therefor it DID NOT need to be said on national tv!!!! That was the last mental picture that i wanted....Thx Tim....DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!

With all due respect:

Far be it from me to judge any person or honestly look into their motives. Call me gullible. However, having been in a situation too close to this one I have made observations that make me weary ('if-fy').

(1) The first one to 'get over' is the way the divers, et al. handled the alleged evidence. No one would ever be so stupid as to "find or locate" potential evidence and then handle it prior to LE being called in. Yes, I am having a problem with that. This is far too big of a case to do that!

(2) TM and TES; God love em' because I sure do! However, I'm not blind either. Someone earlier in this thread was asking some questions about TES's motives and how they are always being called away from a particular scene or something beyond their direct control goes array and zilch. I mean I love the guy, would search for him however, is there a record of anything?

I was with that lot every step through the Aruba case from horses, to cadaver dogs, all the way through allegedly getting some high priced "Center of the Earth" vessel; in fact, has TES really ever found anything?

LP is a player; however, for what he's trying to do I believe one must be a player. Someone...probably GA is going to spill (unknowingly) within earshot of LP...then there will be a case to be made.

Otherwise gang, are we in "sweeps week" by chance? How are the ratings for NG's show? Has anyone seen anything lately about Joran van der Sloot? Just some food for thought.

Leviosa

Now that's a wonderful idea! ;) Like I said before though, who is calling these tips in anyway? I'm just a little suspicious. MOO

I believe they get calls. Put your cell phone number out on a website in a case with national coverage and you will get some kooks calling you too. Of course, you wouldn't do that because you would recogonize that the only person that would call you instead of the local police when seeing a kidnapped child are kooks, but I believe they get calls. Crazy attracts crazy, and there is a big ole crazy magnet in Orlando at the moment.

But, it did not hurt to give the area ANOTHER search.

The divers efforts were willingly given.

LP's motives are not TM's business. IMO

Giving the area another search so that the media attention would be on him! That's what I think..

I know my opinion on this is the minority, I see it reading through the posts. IMO, LP's motives (if they are what I think) are immoral and inappropriate. He does not have to make comments like that, beg for divers to make money.. This is a missing child's case that he wants to profit off of..It's so sad

ITA. He never expected LP to bring in Black Water divers. They are highly specialized in what they do. I know one personally. They dive in zero visability and it's amazing what they find. I hope they continue to search and find Caylee to put this all to rest.

Gosh, LP stays and searches for Caylee and gets bashed by everyone. Tim takes 12,500 dollars and leaves town. WTH?? If it was the other way around what would everyone be saying?

That is what I think also. Tim evidently thought they were voulunteer divers and had no experience. Within minutes of "the find" Tim was on TV saying it was nothing. He had no way to know that.

I don't understand him at all - one day Cindy is accusing him of stealing from her, calling him a drunk and non reputable and the next he is taking money from her attorney, and then the next he is trying to discredit independent searchers.
