defense strategy...psychology 101...she was so distraught due to her bipolar disorder she cannot remember who she gave caylee to. her lying, and eratic behavior are all part of her "coping mechanisms" to deal with Caylee's dispapperance. She is unable to accept that her daughter is gone!"

if all she had ever said was "I don't know where she is" this approach would make sense (still don't think a jury would buy it but okay)... but she didn't say I don't remember. She said she gave her to a nanny that doesn't exist, took the police on a wild goosechase, and admits to be in possession of the car containing the forensics until the 27th of June. Her lying is an admission of knowledge and blows the I don't recall theory out the window.

I think the fact that she says she will lie and steal is going to take the manic state and debunk that. She is trying to cover for what she has done, bipolar people dont do that IMO

So true. When Casey said she would lie and steal and do anything to get Caylee back, how does using stolen checks to buy groceries and push-up bras from Target help her FIND Caylee?

The problem is dog..........they have NO DEFENSE..........they are going to have to hang their hat on some rack and that one is about as good as there is considering she NEVER reported her daughter missing. She is a goner and they KNOW it...........

In their planning sessions, they most likely say, "she is done, stick a fork in her, but we can act like she is nutty as a fruitcake, ALTHOUGH she has never been treated for nutty"..................That is why it won't work, but I am all for them going for it.

im with you

i hope they use it. its all they got

it wont work - and might make it a very short trial

Why would she throw him under the bus like that? Good grief.

If you guys remember after Caylee went missing there were texts between Jesse and Casey and Casey even said that her parents think she should see him again and he was even shocked at that

So NOW during this interview - she throws Jesse under the bus

It's he blame game - everyone is against me wah wah wah everybody hates me wah wah wah I'm going to eat some worms

The drinking, drugs, dancing on tables, stealing, lying, promiscuity, spending..Can all be signs of the manic side of Bipolar Disorder. The Grund's say KC wasn't like that before. She was quiet in H.S. So, she could very well be but as others here have posted she seems more like she has a personality disorder. Id say Dependant Personality Disorder if you want to go there. They did say on the show that probably 50% of Manhatten could be diagnosed with BD..It seems to be the new diagnosis if you have extreme mood swings!

Oh Please!!! Yet another DIAGNOSIS??? The excuses people make now a days.
How about I Just did it:mad:

what do the pings say at the time LP says she was killed

For Sure they just said judge strickland was out, no reason given....

I am sure they asked he remove himself because he had her number. He saw right through her and they knew it. I personally hope she gets a woman with children............that will do her.

Leonard's statement that Caylee died in the very early hours of June 16th is shocking to me. If it was right after the physical fight between CA & KC, then it's more likely that it was a spiteful reaction to CA by KC, and less likely an accident. KC later told AL that she was vindictive and a terrible mother. KC probably rationalized that since she was a terrible mother, Caylee would be better off...and Cindy would never ever get custody of Caylee. The ultimate way to get back at CA.

I will post this again....don't think anyone saw it. WHATIS CASEY LOOKING AT IN THESE TAPES? Why can't she look at her family while she is talking?

She is looking into TV camera. They are not sitting across from each other in front of glass windows. To be seen they have to look into camera and screen at same time to talk. CA keeps telling KC to look up because she needs to see here eyes. KC doesnt seem to be able to do 2 things at once. She is either looking at screen OR camera. Hope that helps!

Exactly, Turbo. This is the best shot the defense has. good one.

Wait the defense can't use the bi-polar defense - she was examined by a psychiatrist to even get out on bail and Casey has even said in these tapes she talks to a psychiatrist every day - Casey even commented when she got out as it was reported - she is fine and sane

It takes more than a month to figure out someone is bi-polar

I hope the prosecution's ready for that. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to disprove.

they are now!!!! He,he! Thanks to the DP lawyer revealing it to us. :)

hehehe - and keep in mind that during CA's interview with the FBI she was verbally answering some of the questionnaire questions posed by Scott. Including CA stating that KC had never been dx'ed with any sort of mood or personality disorder, had never been suicidal to CA's knowledge, etc. Mom-of-Mom-of-the-Year is on record as stating that.

So if they are using the BP defense, then this is a *very* recent diagnosis.

I can't watch NG and can't find a post describing exactly what Casey's lawyer said about bipolar.

  • #196
hello manatee.. :)

if that is what they go with - they will secure a long sentence for their client

it sounds good on paper, but jury will laugh their _ _ _ _ _ off and then find her guilty

Hey robotdog
Agreed! but you have to admit...it's the best shot they've got. I'm glad the DP lawyer revealed their hand. he,he :)

That would be great if JB sashayed into court on opening statements and said " She's bi-polar. So where does she go to get her stuff so i can drive her home?"

Not so fast matlock. Did she ever seek help prior to disapperance for it? On any meds? Been diagnosed? Just because momma acts neuotic, its not a virus...and you cant just claim thats why shes missing..but that you didnt kill her. Bi-polar doesnt cause you to make up a fake nanny and then pull all the crap she did...

Nice try JB/KC go back to the lab and come up with something realistic.

The jurors would be insulted if you even tried that crap with them!

Well I did mention on another thread that if it did happen then Casey very well could have thrown the child into the car - Casey is way stronger than Caylee - Caylee could have hit her head, stopped moving and when Casey realized it happened she might have taken a day or two to figure out what story she needs to come up with - and thats where the kidnapping story came from - THO I think when the car was abandoned it was set up to look like a kidnapping of her and Caylee and Caylee was the one who didn't survive

Believe me, we all agree with you. we are just playing devils advocate. We all want to figure out what the defense could possible do to try to defend KC...I think it has just been revealed.

It is in one of his statments. The first time we heard about him saying he heard Caylee it was on the 24th, that was back when they were trying to establish the last time she was heard alive. He did rescind the statement about the 24th. He also said he heard her on the 16th, but that statement will be useless since he gives dates and then retracts them.

I think the 16th has already been disproved also. He rescinded saying he heard Caylee at all...........He said " he heard KC telling Caylee to get down off the table"...............but that he never heard Caylee speak.
