As I listened to this show - I totally forgot there is a conspiracy against Casey - everyone is lying and she is the only one telling the truth <slaps forehead> HOW could I not see this????????????

  • #163
yeah...exactly. I still think KC killed Caylee but I have to admit this is a good defense strategy.

I am curious as to why you think that?

My understanding is that only mental issue that has any weight in court at all is whether you know right from wrong. She hid her crimes and lied to the police. That ship has sailed. Her behavior afterwards won't flatter her in court, but she is not charged with pole dancing after the fact. It is not a defense for murder or aggravated manslaughter of a child.

I am genuinely interested in how it would help the defense?

No expert, but my guess is that for most ' normal' BP people if their child was taken it would have pushed them into their depressive state.

Exactly....and we haven't seen that depressive state w/ Casey yet, have we?:furious:

Casey's lawyer is there tonight....

I haven't read the whole thread so sorry if this has been said - this lawyer is not on Casey's case anymore - he was only there is DP was on the table and since it is not he is no longer retained

No, it's all through video monitor, they are in seperate rooms or parts of the jail.

IIRC, GA/CA are actually in a building across the street from the jail where KC is being held, when they are viewing KC in a monitor and speaking to KC through a phone.

I agree turbo...but get ready...that will be the defense. we have just been warned.

JB has left the tips sitting at OCSO? I wasn't aware of that.
Possibility of JB not having the $1000 to go get the CD's of tips.
JB accuses reporter of lying that they were there and then says that the CD's are not what they asked for.

In court he was asking to judge to reduce the price because he did not like what was on them, so he evidently go them.

The state attorney said that was what the court ordered be given to him because HE asked for them. They said he could NOT get anymore from them because HE HAD NOT PAID the bill for the first ones and that would have to be paid FIRST.

Caller asking about whether Jeff H was questioned...can I borrow someones wall? Mine are already full of head shaped holes.

I try to get through and can't :( I'm not even sure when to try to call in

IMo, I think LP is correct, I thought myself the 15th...........
GA makes me furious when he calls Caylee 'that little girl'
GA KNOWS MORE than he says...........look at body language!
calls Tara pysco..........ha!

What did LP say ? 1 or 2 am? Need to go look at texts of KC

Yes, video from an auto parts store. That is the most likely place for a live Caylee to be caught on video. Buying washer fluid for her car.

which auto parts store? Just curious? Can you tell?

I see no reason not to believe that he did not hear Caylee on the 16th. Nothing released to date says Caylee was missing prior to then.

I don't think she was missing before that time either. He very well may have heard her, but his statement as such is useless in court because he was 100% sure he heard her on the 24th and only decided he wasn't sure about that anymore after presented with evidence that showed she was dead on that date. His credibility as a witness regarding this issue is impeached.

He very well may have heard her on the 16th. As I said I think she was alive in the early afternoon of the 16th, but that is not based on Jesse's recollection of 1 of 100 phone calls with Casey, especially when recollected a month plus after the date of that call.

sorry to barge in here, i just dont know where else to put this

when the defense or a member of the A family or casey herself can present
A SINGLE PERSON THAT CAN VERIFY THE EXISTANCE OF THE PHANTOM BABY SITTER then and only then can this case move in a direction that helps their defense... until then this case is on a TRAIN WRECK collision with a possible life sentence :other_beatingA_Dead

if this person ( the baby sitter )has been known to casey for several years and has children of her own and relatives of her own then surely someone can say that this person even exists.....course anyone with half a brain can figure out this is nothing but PANT-LOAD BULL CRAP STORY

where did this baby sitters kids go to school ??
where did she live before the apartment she rented ??
where did she go grocery shopping ?
who was her pediatrician for her kids ?
etc
etc
etc
etc

WARNING -NOPE - SORRY - TILT - this case is a total LOSS for the defense team if they stick with this LOAD of BULL and if its a LOAD of BULL then the whole thing is over for them... STICK A FORK IN THEM ALL

RANT is not over- just temporarily suspended

defense strategy...psychology 101...she was so distraught due to her bipolar disorder she cannot remember who she gave caylee to. her lying, and eratic behavior are all part of her "coping mechanisms" to deal with Caylee's dispapperance. She is unable to accept that her daughter is gone!"

I thought I heard that same lawyer say there will be no mental defense, he is only bringing in the bi polar to explain why KC behaved the way she did after Caylee went missing, not the reason why she went missing.

IMO the defense wouldn't plead NGBRI, they would simply introduce evidence of Casey's alleged bipolar disorder to explain away all her grossly inappropriate behavior from June 16 to date. They might argue that Casey's protracted manic state allowed her to ignore Caylee's disappearance and just plow forward with her fun lifestyle and stealing/spending sprees. In her manic state, perhaps Casey thought it made sense to look for the evil nanny in clubs and bars, etc. I find the idea offensive and half-cocked and I imagine jurors will as well. Also, I remember Casey gloating about how she passed her psych eval with flying colors. If she were actually bipolar, I would imagine this would have been unearthed during her numerous evaluations.

I am not sure about the bipolar disorder thing. Is there anyone here with experience? Did her reaction after Caylee went missing seem to be bipolar? What about her actions before Caylee disappeared? Was she bipolar then too?

The drinking, drugs, dancing on tables, stealing, lying, promiscuity, spending..Can all be signs of the manic side of Bipolar Disorder. The Grund's say KC wasn't like that before. She was quiet in H.S. So, she could very well be but as others here have posted she seems more like she has a personality disorder. Id say Dependant Personality Disorder if you want to go there. They did say on the show that probably 50% of Manhatten could be diagnosed with BD..It seems to be the new diagnosis if you have extreme mood swings!

:furious:

( just to add to myself)
The defense strategy will be that KC was soooo distraught when the "imaginary babysitter" took Caylee that she went into this bipolar-manic phase, where she lied, stole and acting abnormal to try to deal with the disapperance. THAT'S THEIR DEFENSE! HE JUST TOLD US! :furious::furious::furious::furious::furious::furious::furious:

I hope the prosecution's ready for that. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to disprove.

Or do drugs.............that is a by product of drug and/or alcohol abuse.

hello manatee.. :)

if that is what they go with - they will secure a long sentence for their client

it sounds good on paper, but jury will laugh their _ _ _ _ _ off and then find her guilty
