I will post this again....don't think anyone saw it. WHATIS CASEY LOOKING AT IN THESE TAPES? Why can't she look at her family while she is talking?

Its an illusion, the 2 cameras are at different eye level for each..so if KC looks into her camera, her mom sees her looking away. They actually discuss it in their convo..

I think the 16th has already been disproved also. He rescinded saying he heard Caylee at all...........He said " he heard KC telling Caylee to get down off the table"...............but that he never heard Caylee speak.

He said he's not sure if he heard Caylee on the 24th. I've seen nothing where he says he was mistaken about hearing her on the 16th.

TURBOTHINK: I NEVER said bipolar was an excuse for killing a child, or if she abused Caylee, I'm only sharing information on bipolar, just as others here have.

I do hope I have the same freedom of speech here, as everyone.

I also believe she shows signs of personality disorders big time ...

Wait the defense can't use the bi-polar defense - she was examined by a psychiatrist to even get out on bail and Casey has even said in these tapes she talks to a psychiatrist every day - Casey even commented when she got out as it was reported - she is fine and sane

It takes more than a month to figure out someone is bi-polar

But the problem with that is there is no test for bipolar disorder. Docs can only assume based on behavior and ruling out other things. KC is such a LIAR, she could pass for anything she sets her mind to. And I do believe she is/was in her right mind when she allegedly killed Caylee. Her only illness was jealousy and wanting Caylee out of the way!

I for one, am not believing the bi-polar - unless she's showed signs all the time - nothing has been stated about growing up, her friends don't say anything about extreme personality traits - her parents haven't said anything - I forgot Cindy is a nurse right? Hmmmm, pregnancy denials and nothing about personality disorders - bi-polar, ADHD, nothing

All smoke and mirrors - my opinion so far

I think it is rather smart of the defense to put this out there now to see how peeps react to it as a possibility for defense. Guess he isn't seeing the sympathy and understanding that he was hoping for and will go back to square one.

Ditto. I am not buying that DX either.

I've thought from the beginning that Casey has symptoms of bipolar and after hearing more, psychotic symptoms that go can go along with it. Now it's come out that she had bouts of depression before. She's definitely not normal, and probably also a sociopath.

Lol, yup, throwing it out there to see what sticks!

you don't have to believe it. But wait and see the defense use it to explain why KC did all the lying and stealing and partying...will the jury buy it? probably not...but it is the best defense I've heard so far for her "unusual" behavior.

Yeah, but they can make a tentative diagnosis of BP, even without her truelly opening up to them...it would probably help in their dignosis actually.
And being examined by the psych before her release on bond doesnt mean she doesnt have a mental illness, it just means they did not believe she was a danger to herself or others at the time.
She probably thinks that means they believe she is perfectly sane, though. ;)
Eta: just for the record i dont think she's bi-polar. I think she's borderline. But that does not equal insanity by any means.

Oh I know - I can go by the famous Britney Spears and her bi-polar saga through the media - ALL people that came in contact with her said how extreme she was - how manic she was - both in extreme highs and extreme lows - the press and paparazzi unfortunately recorded the whole thing - we saw her crying and downright depressed - we saw her angry - we saw her extremely high and giggly - we saw running around at all hours, drinking, partying -

I understand not all bi-polars are the same BUT lets look at Casey - NO one has said she was manic - she acted normal, like everyone else - her parents have said nothing about any personality disorders except for being a sociopath - her boyfriends don't say she was manic or extreme

I just don't see bi-polar -I see someone who has self esteem issues - she lied to make herself look better to others, she stole money because she always thought she was too good for any job - she became mirrors of her boyfriends - Jesse, religious and straight laced - Tony, parties, bars - then JB, yes Baez, she was arrested looking like a paralegal

Casey I don't think is bi-polar - Casey has self esteem issues - since she doesn't think she's good enough - she lies and becomes someone else to look better to others

Being a mother as too real and too hard - and she couldn't hide 'herself' from Caylee

All my opinion

I have been following this case almost from the beginning. In the jailhouse tape CA questions KC about Tara. Who is Tara?

  • #215
Why do we think that being bipolar would be a defense to murder? I would think it's unfounded, as a defense, even if she has the disorder.
Thanks in advance. I missed most of the show.

Don't yell at me. I have only read the last page of the thread. I am just trying to save time. (polite for being lazy).

According to KC it's somebody's "psycho ex-wife"

Have they added a psychiatric expert to their witness list?

Trac, I was actually agreeing with the first sentence indy wrote. I agree it takes more than amonth to figure out someone is bi-polar. I think a mental defense is going nowhere. The charge is murder, she is not insane.

I don't think we are claiming it as a defense. We are only saying that the defense will use bipolar to explain her lying and partying and stealing. They will still maintain that Caylee was taken and that it send KC into a manic phase...to try to cope
