There is no proof that luminol was used at AG's property. People have speculated about it based on the circumstances, but we have no idea what they were actually doing in AG's garage. Just clarifying, because a lot of misinfo has been going around with threads moving at such a fast pace.
IMO it was testing with luminol, because the lights and flashing was exactly the same scene as what we saw through the windows in the Zahra Baker case. It wasn't announced or disclosed here, so I have to say it's my opinion.

I'm open to all scenarios but ask yourself would you open your door at 2 in the morning if you saw an armed, masked, gloved person on your porch?
Definitely not, IF I saw him BEFORE I cracked the door open

A football field is 100 yards.
Splitting hairs... It's 120 yards, 100 yards are used for playing... A fair description, especially knowing how many yards are actually on a football field.

I’m kinda getting the impression (IMO) that the FBI has taken over and maybe pushing Pima County off to the side? If that’s actually happened, would there be any circumstance that the FBI could be at a AG‘s house picking up personal items needed by AG? My point is has anyone here covered a case where family members of a missing person have had to leave their home for privacy, but LE will act as a “courier service” if there’s things needed from the home?

When a SWAT team is deployed like yesterday, that's a really big deal.
Exactly. IMO, For LE to deploy as SWAT team, LE believed that there was a high likelihood this was a suspect. Perhaps similar vehicle(s) to a suspect, similar vehicle to suspicious vehicles LE has been looking at, multiple and perhaps frequent cell phone pings in NG's neighborhood, perhaps a similarity to what they know of physical description and age, and they likely one or more tips about him. If this person is a UPS or FedEx driver, their cell phone could likely have had many pings in NG's neighborhood on a daily basis, etc.

Still, for LE to deploy a SWAT team and to receive a search warrant, they had reasons to believe there was a high probability that they had found a suspect in this case.

All this is JMHO

It is crazy, but one video where he was interviewed, HE said, "They said my eyes looked like the guy on the video." I don't know who said that, or if that was the tip or if they (LE) really said that. If somebody called that in as a tip, I'd be visiting the caller, too.
It was his in-laws that said that.
  • CP told Fox News that he was the person detained for questioning during the traffic stop but that he had nothing to do with the case. He said he makes deliveries in the Tucson area and that investigators asked him about his recent whereabouts. He said authorities showed his in-law a picture of someone wearing a mask and "they supposedly looked like my eyes."

I'm really getting sick of this clown and his need to get constant attention by revealing details he shouldn't be.
Harvey Levin keeps getting drawn into this case, since the start when he received the first ransom note that was sent to him and two news stations in Tucson. He did not ask to be involved and has been incredibly anxious about the situation of SG's mother. I don't expect any journalist to remain silent about this if they receive these kinds of communications from possible suspects in this case.

Supposedly the note contained the name and email address of the person who has NG. Maybe they are just trying to be anonymous because they are scared. They didn’t demand the bitcoin before revealing the name ….so hopefully it will be checked out. Moo.
Perhaps I'm mistaken but I understood it that the name and email were of the person offering the information. And they are offering to sell the information for 1 bitcoin.

My initial thoughts on the abductor(s?) being in the house for 40ish minutes would be that they were trying to get NG to do something that she was not cooperating with, whether that was give them money/ bitcoin, call SG, call other kids to extort funds, etc. Then they got frustrated and switched to Plan B, which was to abduct her and send the ransom note. I don't feel as that was their initial intent. I also believe this would explain how she was injured and dripping blood on the doorstep, they injured her in their frustration.

My 2 cents: this wasn't completely random but it may be a stranger to the family. They knew who the target related to and/ or that she had means herself. I think they were watching her for a long while, possibly in the house before she returned from the family dinner. Definitely amateur with the lack of planning re: doorbell cam. I also think it was two people, one being the driver/ lookout. Unfortunately I don't think NG was alive long after leaving the house and I do believe she was dumped somewhere fairly early on.
That's a rational theory. It aligns with facts established in the timeline. It accounts for the length of time between the kidnapper appearing in the front alcove and NG's pacemaker disconnecting from her phone. Kidnappers don't generally hang around, especially since they could easily overpower the victim. Usually an abductor wants to grab and go. But here they didn't.

I like your theory! NG seems like an intelligent person. She may have been feisty enough or determined enough even at 2am to frustrate the kidnapper's plan to force her to transfer money or call her well-off daughter. The chances of surviving in that situation, even if she cooperated, would be very slim. When she refused to follow the kidnapper's instructions, she was abducted and either held for ransom or murdered.

It has been suggested Nancy may have
a) had brain-fog or been groggy if she was woken up at 2am.
b) thought the man knocking was coming to collect her to take her to the church gathering

Alternatively, maybe Nancy didn't even think to check the cameras before opening.

TUCSON — Investigators in Arizona on Wednesday afternoon bagged a black item on the side of the desert road just over a mile from Nancy Guthrie's home.

Officials were seen canvassing the side of the road at the intersection of Calle La Vela before placing the small black item into a paper bag.

The FBI earlier on Wednesday said it was conducting an "extensive search along multiple roadways" in the Catalina Foothills area where Guthrie lives and vanished from on Feb. 1.

You wouldn’t. Especially not if you’re an elderly person living alone. Her hearing aids were left behind so I think it’s unlikely she heard a commotion and went to the front door. I think that the perpetrator(s?) probably surprised her by physically waking her up or her sensing a presence in the room as she stirred.

Taking an Uber during the day to a family home is perfectly normal IMO. Taking an Uber home to a visibly empty house after dark would seem much riskier to me. I don't find the one-way Uber at all suspicious. My father in law uses Uber extensively because he doesn't like to drive. My in laws who live closer appreciate him taking Uber for some of the trips for convenience. JMO.
Yeah I know this horse has been beaten to a flat-line, but it seems some of the younger posters don't get this.

My MIL will not drive at night. I am pretty tired of having Sunday dinners at 2pm, but it is what it is.

Also a lot of elderly people are fiercely independent and stubborn and do things their way. She could have insisted on taking the Uber as her daughter and SIL were making dinner. Maybe she had a coupon she wanted to use. Maybe she just loves taking Ubers. People are people and have a ton of motivations/quirks others may not understand but they do.

Anyhoo, interesting to see the MSM narrative asking more about AG, I mean it's hard not to get curious why brush searches, neighbor questioning, and investigators coming and going gloved up with evidence bags are happening there.

No mention or link she has a wheelchair.

She CAN walk 50 yards. …a football field.

Moo…
This description was given initially to let investigators how far she would have gone if she had wandered off. Or that she could possibly be on her property and had fallen.

In other words, it wouldn't be expected for her to normally be walking around the neighborhood. However, she probably walked around her property. (Strolling in the garden, getting her mail etc)

That's just MOO...

Has the possibility of a “bite light” been discussed? The 1st appears to be a light in the mouth & the reflective part of the back pack on either side, 2nd they use the light to pull flowers, 3rd - a light in the mouth

Was a source ever provided for this information because it seems to be different than later accounts of the message.

I logged off last night after they detained the man in Rio Rico, saw a Brian Entin update saying the man had been released, and now am just back seeing the updates regarding LE removing items from AG's home... it's been a wild 24 hours... Thank you so much to people posting updates from Twitter/X feeds as I don't have it!

Curious if, in the many pages of the past 12 or so hours, there was ever any understanding of what the man detained in Rio Rico had to do with it?
I'm 50/50 on: 1) he was in no way related to the crime and maybe delivered NG a package once which resulted in his DNA being nearby and maybe had a nosy neighbor that tipped LE off on a "similar" appearance (which I disagree with) OR 2) he was an accessory in the crime in some way possibly not even knowing it was related to NG and LE got more information from him (sort of like a plea deal but less formal - not sure what that would be called) to lead to the bigger fish involved and let him go. Odd though that they apparently asked him no questions, which makes 2) seem... less likely. It would also attract probably unwanted attention but then again maybe LE wants to provoke the perp(s) more now.

If he's truly innocent, wow, what a terrible experience for him and his family. I hope LE would compensate them for the damage to their home.

I think wherever LE thinks NG may be, it would be more obvious? Dogs, choppers, ground search... I didn't see any of that in Rio Rico and I don't think we're seeing it in Tucson.
Carlos, the man detained in Rio Rico interviewed. As far as reason for being detained, he said all he knows his is eyes might have resembled the person in the video and he delivers packages in the Tucson area.

Isn’t a football field 100 yards ?
Yes. From goal line to goal line it is 100 yards. It is actually 120 yards if you count both endzones.
