as an older woman living on my own (not as old as NG) I could never life in that massive house with no close by neighbors and really no lights at night. That said it is beautiful out there and that pool looks inviting but I could not sleep there. She has been living there many years on her own and obviously feels comfortable.

I thought I read somewhere that the reason she loved Arizona so much was because it reminded her of Australia. I've never been to Australia so I don't know.
Yes money was and continues to be my first thought for motive. Removing her from the home is the key to knowing why this happened and who committed it IMO. Revenge could fit with this too. I don’t see a sexually motivated crime resulting in taking her from the home, but again just my opinion and I could very well be wrong.

There has been reports of black bears in the areaMy brain went down that whole scenario last night when I couldn't sleep lol. I was trying to think of a logical reason that the SIL would check on his MIL after she had been dropped off. The only thing that I can think of is the family is somehow alerted if NG's pacemaker is not syncing. If this were the case, though, he would have known that his MIL was missing.
