Yes. Watching them winch it up to the tow truck reminded me of Kiely Rodni.Crazy question:
If there was a body in the Range Rover, would they have transported it like that?

I thought it looked like a temporary paper plate like the ones issued here in Arizona - at least that's how they look in Maricopa County (Phoenix area). Is that a temporary plate under the yellow paper? Or a dealer plate?

Wasn’t Marana at the house too? Or am I mixing up info flipping through different sources? I could have sworn Marana police were there when white vans were showing up. I had assumed they were providing assistance… but now at Culver’s too?Something connected to Marana is going on. They were in the parking lot with the FBI and Sheriff Department when the business with the Range Rover started.
This. And too, the camera person had that in frame as opposed to the RR which was behind this line of vehicles and to the right facing another direction.I think that because there was a white van in the first live shots from the traffic stop, everyone just assumed it was related since there had been discussion about a white van. Even though other vehicles were in the shot as well.
Yeah, this is extremely weird and incomprehensible. This story is getting more and more bizarre. The suspects drive a luxury SUV and live in an upper middle class neighborhood near Nancy??? Were they scammers? Did they try to hustle Nancy out of her retirement and she reported them or threatened to? There has to be some connection.
Smoke and mirrors….all I can come up with at the moment.Yeah, this is extremely weird and incomprehensible.
Brian Entin initially reported that he thought the two people detained at the home could be mother and son. But then who was this third person detained at the traffic stop? What is going on? We do definitely know that at least three people have been detained at this time. 3 detained as SWAT team searches property in Nancy Guthrie investigation
I'd guess some kind of financial motive now too, but it is odd since affording a car like this (assuming it isn't stolen) and a home like that (assuming it's not an airbnb) would seem to point to them being well-off ... all extremely odd.
Is there speculation that LE are searching the wrong house? That would be crazy!!!If this person that was purported to live in a home that turns out not to be the home but literally across the street from the home, there would be levels of absurdity and coincidence about this case that will make me consider whether I am, in fact, living in an augmented reality shaped by an algorithm of chaos and malignancy.
JMO.
Caught up on all that in the last few minutes myself, can imagine this is more likely connected to the ransom scams said to originate in the Tucson area, have a feeling that if they believed this was related to what actually happened to NG they would have had techs swarming the home all day today.Trying hard to catch up on the last few hours by speed watching Fox10 Phoenix’s feed. From this, I gather:
- at 20:30 the sheriff’s office told media to go to a staging area to a press briefing but by 23:00 they were told they’d only be getting a written statement, and sources said that they were waiting for FBI approval of a statement
- Fox News reported two men and one of their mom’s were detained not arrested in connection to a search warrant, and reminded that while a search warrant is executed, it’s typical for residents to be detained for the duration
- The Range Rover has a yellow piece of paper (looks like from a legal pad) covering the license plate, under an MG Motors plastic license plate frame. No front license plate.
- Looks like the FBI is collecting the evidence (vs. sheriff)
- The way they’re talking about the three people detained, it seems like they’re saying they were all at the home where the warrant was being executed. There is, obviously, a vehicle (the Range Rover), and I’m aware of a guy with white pant legs who was obviously being detained in some way, so maybe that’s a source of confusion on the numbers? Possibly one of them (I’d guess the mother) wasn’t a target and was only detained for warrant execution?
- At 23:40 they show sheriff’s vehicles pulling out of their parking spots and pulling back in closer to the Range Rover
- At 23:53 they share the Sheriffs statement, which they apparently learned from twitter.
- At 23:53 LE put a yellow sheet up on the right rear of the Range Rover, covering as they opened the trunk. Fox 11 isn’t sure how they accessed the car, but a few minutes earlier the lights were flashing so I believe LE has the key fob
- At 23:55 they put up a sheet on the left rear side. It was uncovered for 2 minutes while the trunk was open
- At 23:57 they close the trunk and fold up the sheets
- At 00:00 Fox 11 believes LE is wrapping up in the Culver’s parking lot
- 00:09 the FBI tech is wiping then applying something to the seams of the car. I’m guessing he’s essentially “sealing” the doors
- 00:34 a tow truck pulls into the lot
- Camera zooms back in on the paper over the license plate. Looking at how wet that paper is now, I doubt it has been on there for very long. Driving with that in any sort of rain, it would disintegrate
- FBI takes pictures of the side of the vehicle up on the truck bed
- 00:53 tow truck drives away with the Range Rover and the LE vehicles all leave
- And with that, I’m back to present time
Sorry to those for who this is redundant info, but hopefully this helps others catch up. Still don’t know much about the warrant and residence though…
Just a thought — wonder if it was stolen and they don’t want people looking up the # and putting innocent, totally unrelated people’s names out there as the suspectsSo, the license plate was covered with a piece of paper by LE, but you can see that it's a temporary paper license plate underneath.
Who are these perps?

But then why tbe Medical Examiner?I was wondering if they could just be ransom scammers too, but there were at least 15-20 law enforcement vehicles at that home earlier. Would that many show up if they were just ransom scammers? IMO that heavy of a presence suggests they found some proof Nancy had been there... all just speculation though.

They had a similar response to Carlos the other day before releasing him, I figure that this is perhaps they believe these are the individuals with 'local knowledge' that were trying to extort bitcoin with a fake ransom demand. Will have to see does LE actually charge anyone before the day is out.I was wondering if they could just be ransom scammers too, but there were at least 15-20 law enforcement vehicles at that home earlier. Thank you. Understood. That helps to know that others find it confusing. Hope we wake up to something that helps the family. At this stage we don’t really know. There are various reports and we’re all confused.
It looks like they covering up some type of evidence. At the end, I noticed there were quite a few onlookers in the parking lot, so maybe it was to keep them from snooping. Sure as heck couldn't see in the back from live stream.Snipping and quoting myself for emphasis.
They had the sheets up and trunk open for four minutes. They had it covered on only one side for two minutes. The FBI guy spent longer photographing the license plate. I very much doubt there was a body or a suicide or anything immediately visible in that trunk of particular interest.
