Trying hard to catch up on the last few hours by speed watching Fox10 Phoenix’s feed. From this, I gather:

  • at 20:30 the sheriff’s office told media to go to a staging area to a press briefing but by 23:00 they were told they’d only be getting a written statement, and sources said that they were waiting for FBI approval of a statement
  • Fox News reported two men and one of their mom’s were detained not arrested in connection to a search warrant, and reminded that while a search warrant is executed, it’s typical for residents to be detained for the duration
  • The Range Rover has a yellow piece of paper (looks like from a legal pad) covering the license plate, under an MG Motors plastic license plate frame. No front license plate.
  • Looks like the FBI is collecting the evidence (vs. sheriff)
  • The way they’re talking about the three people detained, it seems like they’re saying they were all at the home where the warrant was being executed. There is, obviously, a vehicle (the Range Rover), and I’m aware of a guy with white pant legs who was obviously being detained in some way, so maybe that’s a source of confusion on the numbers? Possibly one of them (I’d guess the mother) wasn’t a target and was only detained for warrant execution?
  • At 23:40 they show sheriff’s vehicles pulling out of their parking spots and pulling back in closer to the Range Rover
  • At 23:53 they share the Sheriffs statement, which they apparently learned from twitter.
  • At 23:53 LE put a yellow sheet up on the right rear of the Range Rover, covering as they opened the trunk. Fox 11 isn’t sure how they accessed the car, but a few minutes earlier the lights were flashing so I believe LE has the key fob
  • At 23:55 they put up a sheet on the left rear side. It was uncovered for 2 minutes while the trunk was open
  • At 23:57 they close the trunk and fold up the sheets
  • At 00:00 Fox 11 believes LE is wrapping up in the Culver’s parking lot
  • 00:09 the FBI tech is wiping then applying something to the seams of the car. I’m guessing he’s essentially “sealing” the doors
  • 00:34 a tow truck pulls into the lot
  • Camera zooms back in on the paper over the license plate. Looking at how wet that paper is now, I doubt it has been on there for very long. Driving with that in any sort of rain, it would disintegrate
  • FBI takes pictures of the side of the vehicle up on the truck bed
  • 00:53 tow truck drives away with the Range Rover and the LE vehicles all leave
  • And with that, I’m back to present time

Sorry to those for who this is redundant info, but hopefully this helps others catch up. Still don’t know much about the warrant and residence though…
What happened to the guy who was being questioned re the RR? Did they let him go? It appeared in some of the films that he was dressed in a white hoodie and was trying to hide from the camera.

Snipping and quoting myself for emphasis.

They had the sheets up and trunk open for four minutes. They had it covered on only one side for two minutes. The FBI guy spent longer photographing the license plate. I very much doubt there was a body or a suicide or anything immediately visible in that trunk of particular interest.
DBM due to being unable to find a supporting link from Fox 10 Live

Thank you for putting that together and sharing! It does very much help to have these details compiled in one place, as a reference for the past few hours.

What with the new car (because that looked like a temp plate to me), makes me wonder if they didn't buy the car using NGs credit. Not credit card,, but credit score. Made a fake DL with her name, etc. And if someone got wind of that and reported it to Adult Protective Services, that might explain the card from ADS in her door. Like she didn't know someone had stolen her identity and APS was trying to tell her about it. That is a little out there, but it does make me wonder. Just a thought.
Not “just a thought”. This is a very precise and unique angle from which to view this case.

When i went to sleep last night (UK) the talk was all of DE, and something happening near his house. Has that been totally dropped now?

  • #28,487
But then why tbe Medical Examiner?
There is no evidence the medical examiner was there. There was a forensic van.

I think so. I suspect LE leaked a fake staging location to get the media out of their hair and it just so happened to be in the area where D.E. lived. The only one who had the real location was Brian Entin.

It was a temporary plate. I guess there is a way to sleuth temporary plates? 🤷‍♀️
Most likely. A temporary plate is still registered by the DMV so someone with access to the system could theoretically look it up. I don’t know AZ DMV laws but I’m guessing it would be illegal to do so like it is in other states and if caught the person at minimum would likely lose their job but people can get real crazy with their sleuthing so some say consequences be damned. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Interesting to me that the house they are searching is in between NG’s House and AG’s - could explain the searches near AG and along the roadways there.

  • #28,491
Any neighbors talking? Saying something like, yeah, you know what, that guy in the house does resemble the guy caught on camera.

Last post of the night for me, all that what was live stuff is here. Also over on the Media thread.

Is there speculation that LE are searching the wrong house? That would be crazy!!!

If you can't say where that comes from, can you tell me whether you think there's reason to think so, please. Thank you.

Signed,
Confused
There was some inaccurate online information about which house was being searched, naming a building very close to the house being searched but on the next street. The wrongly identified house is owned by someone whose involvement would have been big news for various reasons, so the PCSO released a statement (see below). There’s a bit more to it but that’s the basic idea.

I really wish I could post the screenshot I saw on Twitter from Fox 10 News Live. I don't know who was able to get the shot, but it was obviously someone from Fox 10 News and it was before they got everything concealed.

If you mean something like this, this is the trunk of the FBI vehicle, not the Range Rover. The FBI Chevy SUV concealed the back of the Range Rover, and I don’t believe any media was close enough to get a decent photo of the left side when it was uncovered. Screenshot from this video, which is from the live stream I’d watched of Fox 11.

It was announced earlier on STS that "several FBI officers and a Medicsl Examiner truck" had arrived.

I was watching that and did not hear that.
It was not spoken, it was in the changing information . I wish I had taken a screen shot

I don't know about that being the case tonight, but I do think those words "safe but scared" were including in the ransom note sent to the family (or wherever it went):

Oh right sorry, it was displayed without context on the screen, just included in the updates

Thought I was being helpful, so sorry about that
