Rephrasing my earlier random thoughts/theory. I used a term that could be offensive and I sincerely apologize. Could this case be related to the groups of traveling con artists? We had local people here in alabama recently scammed by the traveling group. No link because it was posted on a local fb group. They were sold asphalt that was very low quality for a very high price. I've never known the traveling scam groups to kidnap or murder but I haven't researched that aspect.

I’d say it’s more likely recently purchased and the Title info hasn’t been updated yet. Where I live it takes about 3 weeks from purchase to get the new title from a dealership.

Yeah, but that still doesn’t explain why the dealership has the listing up on their website. Every time I’ve bought a car before, the posting was taken down within 24 hours. I think the owner or someone on the staff was driving the car around, and they probably know someone who was involved.

search warrant executed 1.9 miles away from NG house
BE saw a woman and man being detained/coming out of the house- described it as maybe a mother/son

down the street at the culvers a man was detained in a vehicle stop - believed to be related to the case as well.

What is the consensus on the perp caught at NG's home? Did he have a tattoo on his wrist? I tried to look at the Range Rover driver's forearm and I didn't see a tattoo.

I'm reposting this information for anyone else who is as confused about the situation as I was a few minutes ago.
Credit to @Mack the Knife for his excellent summary of a Fox10 Live Feed

• at 20:30 the sheriff’s office told media to go to a staging area to a press briefing but by 23:00 they were told they’d only be getting a written statement, and sources said that they were waiting for FBI approval of a statement
• Fox News reported two men and one of their mom’s were detained not arrested in connection to a search warrant, and reminded that while a search warrant is executed, it’s typical for residents to be detained for the duration
• The Range Rover has a yellow piece of paper (looks like from a legal pad) covering the license plate, under an MG Motors plastic license plate frame. No front license plate.
• Looks like the FBI is collecting the evidence (vs. sheriff)
• The way they’re talking about the three people detained, it seems like they’re saying they were all at the home where the warrant was being executed. There is, obviously, a vehicle (the Range Rover), and I’m aware of a guy with white pant legs who was obviously being detained in some way, so maybe that’s a source of confusion on the numbers? Possibly one of them (I’d guess the mother) wasn’t a target and was only detained for warrant execution?
• At 23:40 they show sheriff’s vehicles pulling out of their parking spots and pulling back in closer to the Range Rover
• At 23:53 they share the Sheriffs statement, which they apparently learned from twitter.
• At 23:53 LE put a yellow sheet up on the right rear of the Range Rover, covering as they opened the trunk. Fox 11 isn’t sure how they accessed the car, but a few minutes earlier the lights were flashing so I believe LE has the key fob
• At 23:55 they put up a sheet on the left rear side. It was uncovered for 2 minutes while the trunk was open
• At 23:57 they close the trunk and fold up the sheets
• At 00:00 Fox 11 believes LE is wrapping up in the Culver’s parking lot
• 00:09 the FBI tech is wiping then applying something to the seams of the car. I’m guessing he’s essentially “sealing” the doors
• 00:34 a tow truck pulls into the lot
• Camera zooms back in on the paper over the license plate. Looking at how wet that paper is now, I doubt it has been on there for very long. Driving with that in any sort of rain, it would disintegrate
• FBI takes pictures of the side of the vehicle up on the truck bed
• 00:53 tow truck drives away with the Range Rover and the LE vehicles all leave
• And with that, I’m back to present time

When i went to sleep last night (UK) the talk was all of DE, and something happening near his house. Has that been totally dropped now?

When police were staging at Marana, many assumed they were heading to DE I think. But the address searched was nowhere near his location.

I did see reference to where they were actually going much earlier in the evening. But I couldn't make sense of it at the time due to my lack of knowledge about the local area.

There still seems to be a lot of confusion online about what happened where etc. I hope that tomorrow we will receive some more definite information.

I was wondering if they could just be ransom scammers too, but there were at least 15-20 law enforcement vehicles at that home earlier. Would that many show up if they were just ransom scammers? IMO that heavy of a presence suggests they found some proof Nancy had been there... all just speculation though.

Truth is law enforcement doesn't have much to do right now - nothing new to investigate - so no surprise so many LE showed up.

There was some inaccurate online information about which house was being searched, naming a building very close to the house being searched but on the next street. The wrongly identified house is owned by someone whose involvement would have been big news for various reasons, so the PCSO released a statement (see below). There’s a bit more to it but that’s the basic idea.

Definitely possible but all the vehicles I've purchased in the past, the dealer removed the vehicle from their website within 1-2 days after it was sold.

A friend brought Helter Skelter to 9th grade Algebra and for weeks we pored over that book instead of our quadratic equations. The book itself had a distinctive smell and is most likely the scariest book I've ever read. I agree with you about small security measures making a big difference. In my opinion, this would not have helped Nancy unfortunately. I think all signs point to her being targeted and I don't think locking her bedroom door would have made a difference..

I’m in agreement with you, this was targeted. He or they went there for one purpose and it wasn’t burglary.

Could it be it was either the mother or other son that called in the tip on the RR guy? “Hey my son bears a resemblance to the guy caught on camera and he’s been acting out of character.”

Still I don’t understand why the offender would stick around after watching the news and seeing the investigators having lots of info to work with.

Interesting. Paul Mauro of Fox News also tweeted, that the tip may have come in locally, not FBI. (My guess is that's probably why there was such a joint presence and unity press statement.)

Case could be breaking. Looks like Pima Co sheriff, not Feds, off a local tip. Looks like two males, one older female, “detained” during search warrant execution.

Four now “detained” in the Guthrie case. Can confirm at least one in handcuffs, which is likely an arrest. This thing is real.
