Last night's law enforcement operation ended without any arrests, law enforcement official says​

The law enforcement operation that saw officers converging on two locations near Nancy Guthrie’s home last night concluded without any arrests, a law enforcement official told CNN.

Law enforcement questioned one man but released him, believing him not to be the kidnapper, the official said.

I'm pretty sure more people who know people acquainted with those people look like that too. I mean, it's overstretching and IMO really not ok to just randomly point out men unless they acted suspicious and are on cctv like that guy on a porch caught on Ring on 23jan for example. JMO

if the report of a self-harm situation gets confirmed, it may turn out the person they wanted to arrest is dead now.

with all the evidence vans and tarps being put up, it seems clear they think they have found something important.

Possibly items that were stolen from Nancy’s home, safe, tv etc?

I'm in Arizona and, creep around porches at the wrong house, yes, you will be shot. We have a strong gun culture here. I don't think there's anything curious about 'that community'. It's a beautiful area. NG is an elderly woman, apparently sleeping in her own bed in the middle of the night. Even someone young and itching for a fight is not going to stand at the door ready to defend their "castle" all night long.

Yeah even with a strong gun culture here, people aren’t getting shot on porches. I’m in the foothills and it’s a fairly regular to see security videos of people snooping around yards and car ports being posted on social media asking if anyone knows who it is or to be aware. It’s not very common in foothills but definitely other areas where TPD has jurisdiction. Even with all of that, people still aren’t getting shot. Which is a good thing imo- we shouldn’t just shoot people. What’s happening to NG is rare.

What is going on with the police raiding, detaining and then releasing people so frequently? It happened during Brown where they actually ended up releasing his name before releasing him and then it has happened twice so far this case. Maybe I just miss it typically but is it not incredibly unusual for this sort of thing to happen and then the person gets released? Seems like shoddy police work

Usually we would still hear that they have been taken into custody or apprehended.

Atleast that’s my experience in past cases

This is how police investigations happen. Most investigations don’t have a swarm of “independent journalists” following LE’s every move.

I can understand that, but I also did the point of that guy who was first arrested, and his mother-in-law went on TV claiming he was innocent he did the right thing he went right on TV that I had nothing to do with this. Keep me and my family out of it I pray for the family that their mother is found like that that’s what an innocent person does.
