I think it's important to note that the Gem Show being with the gem, mineral and fossil showcases starting 1/23. The main show was only from 2/12-2/15. I don't recall what tie the neighbor has to the gem show but unless this person nearby was actually exhibiting high value pieces at the show, it doesn't make sense to rob them. And I can't imagine that someone in that business, handling expensive pieces would need to stow them with a neighbor. These should be professionals who have their own security arrangements. Safe deposit boxes, their own safes, etc. IMO

The gem show - been there - definitely has high value items, not that I was invited. There are "invitees" to some of the show. Much is public. (Some of those items have been shown to be forgeries -arrests.) If you're going after a high value item, you need to know gems. Major thefts in 2007, 2008, 2012 (over $1 million), and 2026, more...

Dates vary/example: JOGS Tucson Winter Gem & Jewelry Show Dates: January 28th - February 8th, 2026. Most just say it's mid-January to mid-February.

What I am saying is this show brings in 65,000 outsiders who buy, sell, trade, plus a criminal element - maybe organized. Sheriff has made no reference to outsiders.

I don’t typically follow cases closely, so perhaps I’m just clueless. Aren’t those kinds of burglaries typically in the daytime? Why would they come equipped heavily for someone to be at home?

This theory was briefly touched on earlier but not talked about much. I'm thinking more that the criminals found the wrong house, that this was a robbery attempt related to the gem show. The Tucson gem show is HUGE, draws from all over the U.S. It is from mid-January through mid-February. The dates/timing is right.

I lived in Tucson for a while, have been there. It is open to the public, part is by invitation, part is in buildings, part is under tents. Anyway, the gem neighbor would have had real cash, would have had a home safe, a place to store valuables.

Is losing a job because media companies irresponsibly associated you with a violent kidnapping OK? I don't think so.

This experience may have had financial consequences for an extended family living paycheck to paycheck. CP was working a gig job for DoorDash to supplement regular employment and support his family. DoorDash quickly put out a statement assuring customers its drivers are not a safety threat. Understandably. Did they allow CP or a family member to continue delivering? I don't know.

Media outlets profited from reporting about CP. If CP or a family member lost employment as a result of their recklessness, he may be able to recover for lost income and damages. I hope an attorney is evaluating whether CP has a cause of action. Attorneys like that aren't ambulance chasers, in my opinion. They offer a means whereby we can hold the powerful to account for reckless damage to the little guy.

I agree about Tim but the idea of those beautiful horses picking their way through all the cactus makes me cringe. I certainly hope that doesn't become necessary.

From another case that happened at the Mojave National Preserve, I learned from other posters about a cactus called Teddy Bear cholla, or “jumping cholla”. Very dangerous. I believe Arizona has the same plant everywhere.

Really? Might I remind you that Thomas Crooks, the alleged shooter of DJT at Butler Pennsylvania had all manner of encrypted data on his phone? In Congressional hearings the FBI said they were unable to decipher the codes needed to get into his phone. Getting caught doesnt = stupidity. It equals imperfect humanity. We are all flawed. The "edge of his palm" was gloved..possibly double gloved. He has managed to evade the LE and FBI thus far. Next door is a gem specialist. Streamers’ cameras picked up a company collecting gems from next door for the gem show. The TikTok feed for the people collecting those gems (Virgo Gem Co) has a dry, witty and sharp put-down of the reaction that streamers’ clips received from online sleuths. (The woman from VGC who made that clip has what it takes to be a media star, imo.) That clip was reposted to X by others and that’s where I saw it. I’m hoping that it’s okay to mention this because it’s VGC itself – the people who were filmed collecting from next door – who made the clip.

For extra clarity: Virgo Gem Co is not next door to NG – they were just collecting from there for the show. They’re based in CO. I’ll report this post in case mods object.

This is, I believe, was a case of an offender with severe psychosexual issues, whose preferred victim(s) is an elderly woman. Nancy led a pretty open life. She was easy to find and surveil. She was incredibly vulnerable.

So on a night of a full moon, he struck. More accurately, he and his submissive sidekick (and likely) sometime sexual partner struck. (Partner probably a very dependent submissive male.)

The time within the house was the dominant partner doing his thing. Once completed...they could not leave a human with his DNA. So they exited with her. And no, Nancy is not with us.

I think your theory of a sidekick is interesting. I remember reading an article saying that there would be a lot more success in apprehending serial killers/rapists if there was more research and time spent on what makes a good sidekick.

I feel, short of a confession, that the only way we can learn what happened is if NG's remains are found reasonably soon. DNA?, cause of death?.....but even then, the whole story is elusive. I encourage you and anyone else thinking another lab would be better than where the dna is to please listen to CeCe Moore, the pioneer of IGG explain why the choice of the lab, DNA labs International, in Deerfield Florida is a great one. She has even used them to extract samples. Listen at 21:15 for the below.

I’ll quote her, (BBM) “I don’t want to advocate for Parabon, but I would say Parabon’s bioinformatic scientists are specialists in mixture deconvolution. It’s something that they are especially good at. A lot of my successful cases have been. But, again even for them, it’s going to come down to the proportions and the number. So, I don’t know, I haven’t worked with DNA International labs deconvolution because we have such good bioinformatics at Parabon. So, I don’t wanna say they are better than theirs, I don’t know. But, I believe very strongly in this lab. I’ve worked with them. They’re great at extracting DNA. Parabon doesn’t do extractions so we’ve had them extract the DNA from the evidence on a lot of our successful cases that I’ve been able to go on and help law-enforcement solve. And, so I know how good they are on really difficult samples. I’ve been saying all week I have full confidence in them, and I actually think the sheriff made a great choice because they’re kind of a one stop shop. They can do the extraction, they can create the STR profile, which is the one uploaded to CODIS, and they can create the SNIP profile that’s used for genetic genealogy. all of those in parallel. …….So, he saved time.”

She goes on to say, FBI DOESN’T HAVE THE ABILITY TO CREATE A SNIP PROFILE. THEY ALWAYS SEND THAT OUT. IT’S ALWAYS A 3rd party lab.

Cece Moore w/ Parabon is Ashleigh's guest and really explains the blood evidence and states that Nanos made a great choice in the lab because the lab can do all types of analysis, unlike the FBI's lab. Really important listen. She states the first person to make a statement against his choice owned a competing lab.

Also, Ashleigh states that a source told her the blood pattern outside was the same inside.

Re the DNA from the house mixed sample, since this is our best hope RN, IMO. I hope the FL lab can separate. Maybe since there is extra DNA, send to FBI lab, or Othram in TX.

If this was the case wouldn't he be reaching out to SG? Capturing her mom is one thing but his desire and obsession with SG is so strong. SG being quiet and private in this matter. She hasn't been on the today show in weeks. So he can't invite SG into is daily life. Maybe he rewatches her instagram videos. This would only fuel his obsession for so long- he'd need more. So maybe he sends letters. But going silent after kidnapping her mom wouldn't match this MO.
