Before I go too crazy, is DC someone we're allowed to sleuth on? TIA!

He was arrested as he injected himself into this case-- so I'm of the opinion he is fair game and full name can be used.
But I'm not a mod and can be totally wrong/out of line.

I would like to get approval before posting anything but I will say, this guy is WAY more interesting than I had initially thought. I kind of brushed him off as having potential involvement but now I'm really wandering what his deal is. MOO.

I’ve come to believe he was wearing a two masks, and a tiny bite light was in his mouth UNDER the 3d realistic thin mask. Or possibly, there was a light taped to his face (think filmmaking) that had a remote to wrist possibly.

It really makes me wonder why- why the need to alter even the tiniest part of a face visible?

There are screenshots at the link above that do not show any movement of lips, no open mouth. And a quoted post below makes it appear that the light is under the lips at one point.

Going to put my screenshots in one post with things I notice outside of the turnout I mention above.

• Suspect has on a belt- you can see in bottom left picture.
• The jacket has a specific detail under pocket, not sure if it’s a cinch waist or logo?
• Suspect has something in jacket pocket
• Pants pockets look fuller from behind than they do from front.
• There are definite wrinkles showing on back side under pants. What is that? Boxers, padding?
• The mask is different at eyes, color, fabric or reflectivity, I’m not sure.
• The mouth is different too - appears black but I’m not convinced that’s hair. Also a whitish area to the left of mouth. Not sure what that is either.

These screen grabs make me think that the bite light is underneath a thin face mask that’s covering the perp’s real mouth. When the light is off, we see the mouth of the face mask. When it’s on, it shines through the mask.

It’s got to be a tiny light. Here are the frames from 0:04-0:05 in the 0:14s video from FBI’s X post (linked) when the light momentarily turns off. It seems like it’s actually emanating from the dark patch below his “lips” rather than from between them. Very weird.

Now thinking back to all of LE searching local Tucson gun shops/walmarts if they wouldn't be better served by seaching Hawthorne CA area shops (where DC is from).

When I looked at video of Callella being released from jail back on Feb 12th--my impression was he was rather tall. Definitely thought over 6-'0" tall based on him towering over the lady walking near him.

But then I thought.....what if he is shorter? So looking up his HT from his arrest records-- he is listed as between 5'-9"-5'-10"...medium build. Hmmm. JMO.

Can Derrick Callella be the man on NG's porch? Where was he 1/31/26 to 2/1/26?
I know some of you WSer's are great at graphics......would love to see a facial comparison to the porch man. Eyes, lips etc.

PS...on the video of Callella being released from jail--I notice he made a great effort to keep his right hand inside his pocket at all times and covered/concealed. Possibly hurt smashing floodlights somewhere?

I personally don’t see this walk as any more than uncomfortable and embarrassed. But as I read someone else say similarly here, my track record on guessing right is not so good!

He wanted to completely obscure his facial features, not necessarily because he knew NG but perhaps because he was doing everything he could to avoid his face being in any way seen and thereby diminishing the possibility of being identified.
