Best thing to do is to freeze this video at the 35 second mark.
This is the only time on this video where you get a better perspective of viewing his body type. Still, this shot cuts off at the knees so it is not like comparing the Porch guy video where you see full body----down to his shoes.

I see too many similarities to totally write this guy off. JMO.
I hope for his sake he is not the one because this case will be solved IMO.

According to Kash Patel they do.

"Working with our partners - as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance."

"Additional recovered images from the same camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance, including two videos of the individual."

"Additional recovered footage, from the same camera - at the same timeline the morning of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. This footage is just before the original video shared, with the individual approaching Nancy Guthrie’s front door."

what's the date on that release? It says at the same timeline. Where does it say timestamps? and what does this have to do with the 147-212-228 times we were discussing earlier? I am confused jmo

This is attention seeking behavior. It’s disrespectful. Two random people out treasure hunting in front of a kidnap victim’s home. IMO
you're not wrong at all, but at the same time i think a lot of people are feeling frustrated and want to help (for better or for worse). i've seen a lot of memes of people who are like "get in, we're going to find Nancy". there's not a lot of faith in the investigation and we're all appalled by a missing 84 year old and feel so awful for her family that i do understand people feeling moved to do something.

Yep, yep, yep. I'm as skeptical as they come, but my Spidey senses are tingling with this one, even though logic tells me otherwise . . . 🤔🤔🤔 Also, he does kind of have that "dad bod" thing going like the front door perp has.

“We’ve now learned that maybe it wasn’t purchased out of Walmart,” Nanos told TODAY. “That backpack is new, is exclusive to Walmart, but who’s to say I didn’t buy it and put it on eBay? ... That’s what we’re looking at.”

I think it'd be a lucky break if it was purchased from ebay. More so than the hundreds (?) sold at possibly any Walmart across the country.

I think it was most likely purchased at Walmart, though, JMO.

February 10, 2026. It was posted the same date that the footage was recovered. If Kash Patel didn't know the time of the footage I doubt he would have said this was captured the "morning" she went missing repeatedly. They would not want to lead the public astray when the timeline is critical and they were seeking tips.

Once again, it comes down to logical deduction.
They knew before the footage was even recovered that software told them that a person was detected at 2:12 a.m.
We have footage of Lantana man at the front door.
Harvey Levin said LE confirmed to them that the video the FBI released was taken at 2:12 a.m.

I believe it was captured at 2:12 a.m. If you don't believe that - that is your prerogative.

Why would you buy something online that has to be paid with by card (could be stolen I suppose) and shipped directly to your address (or picked up locally but doesn't seem likely for a single backpack). Seems much easier to just purchase with cash at Walmart. Maybe even send someone else to buy it in cash for you.

Going down this rabbit hole of it possibly being second hand sounds like a waste of time. When the most simplest explanation is probably what occurred. IMO

Note to Sheriff Nanos: Just. Stop. Talking.

Porch Guy would have to be a complete idiot to buy that bag online and leave a digital trail. This guy has eluded 400 FBI agents for over a month. It's unlikely he'd make such a rookie mistake.

I know semi-popular opinion is that the Sheriff is playing some sort of chess game to lure Porch Guy into a false sense of security, but I think he's just simply horrible at interviews. I think the FBI has iced him out and he's grasping at straws to make it seem likes he's still in the mix. JMO.

I hope there's new information soon. This is starting to feel like a merry go round to me. I mean no disrespect by saying that, either, so please don't take it the wrong way.

If the backpack range was new and exclusive it’s very unlikely someone would buy it and immediately sell it on, it’s more likely it’s been stolen from someone. Possibly could have been gifted I suppose 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oof. Yeah, wasn't expecting his lower body to be that slim. He is cleanly shaven too, when most online shots are with a slight goatee.

But they did give him his RR back, so there's that. However - he got the RR right afterwards, which likely wouldn't have any DNA or anything in it. Perhaps he drove a rental while he was looking for another car. I'm surprised she didn't ask him what he drove right before he got the RR, whether it was a rental, or if he knows anyone that drives a silver compact or midsize van/SUV.

I said quite a few pages back that Kia Souls are popular low cost rentals, and I doubt his insurance company covering the recent wreck would've paid for luxury.

I still think the guy on the porch seemed less anxious and more calm under pressure by his very nature, but drugs can sometimes mimic pathologies that can give feelings of invincibility.

The only red/yellow flag from the interview that I noted to myself was he said he had been clean and out of that world for 2 years but he was arrested mid-late last year for drugs if I recall. And he said he doesn't know or barely knows the girl in jail right now, but yet got arrested with her if memory serves. I have no idea why she didn't ask for further clarification and/or point out that incongruence.

JMO.

Agreed. We're not talking a Louis Vuitton limited edition that would bring big money on the resale market. It's a cheapo mass-produced backpack sold at a big box store. Who would waste their time listing something like that?

IMO, and I am not an apologist for LD but shame on the people who asked if they had footage of him standing and sitting. More fodder for their armchair sleuthing? IMO, the entire interview reeked of a setup, Yes, he could have refused the interview. Then people would say, what is he hiding? He thought he could clear his name. He thought it was worth the risk. Perhaps his attorney ok'd it. Perhaps he has a psychologist who encouraged it. Fighting for yourself can be therapeutic, I would imagine. The whole raid had him caught up in a situation not of his making. He clumsily tried to explain. He wasnt there to express condolences about NG. If he had, there are those who would probably snicker. He was there to remove one of the clouds hanging over him. He couldn't win. JMO

I don't want to go afoul of mod instructions, but everything about the LD interview (and pre-interview setup) makes me feel the exact opposite of what the lawyer intended. -- If nothing else I can sure see why someone may have thought he was Lantana Man and tipped LE.

Sounds like they hit a dead end with Walmart in terms of tracing the purchases of the backpack
I wonder how many other stores they're sold in?
Could be hundreds, could be just a few.

But I thought if they stocked them in Walmart, it'd be almost certain the perp bought it from there.
Now, nope. Yet another dead end! This case is infuriating!

Hey everyone,

Unless you have valid reason to suspect LD or his 77 y.o. mother as having involvement in Nancy's disappearance, please forego the unflattering comments about them as individuals. It is really very unnecessary, extremely tacky, and not in the spirit of Websleuths. As always, members can discuss what is being said in the interview and offer reasonable critique as it relates to the fact of the case.

Just ask yourself, "If they truly have nothing to do with the case, why is it necessary for me to besmirch them in any way?"

Thank you.

Just bringing this forward since there have been a lot of messages in this thread, and this one may have gotten buried!

Body-wise, yes, almost the same build.
But definitely not the same dark eyes.

The release I posted up thread was 2-23-26. As to your response..The camera was disconnected from the wifi at 147. Where is that in your calculation? jmo
