I really like BE and his reports. In this case while I get the point until we have the perp(s) arrested all options are on the table
I also like BE and his reports. I do respectfully disagree with him about how LE has dragged innocent people through all of this. LE has to follow the possible evidence and the evidence they had at the time led to C and LD.

Their job is to follow leads and evidence, and consider everybody a possible perpetrator. Search warrants have been approved by judges because there have valid evidence in the warrant--which LE is intentionally keeping sealed and not public--that could connect these people to the crime.

As far as is currently known, these 2 individuals are not suspects. But, LE's job is to follow the clues, pay attention to their evidence and consider everybody a possible suspect.

Honestly, I think Brian Entin is just trying to find things to talk about because the case is so stalled.

bbm He wanted the response from SG.. He wasnt 1 bit interested in you, me, the masses or sleuths. He forced SG et al to perform like trained circus animals, groomed for his entertainment and pleasure. It was twisted and horrible. Watch those Instagram videos. He's sadistic in his quest for his morbid satisfaction. He wanted total submission. I cant read this any other way. JMO
LE advised SG to say very specific things and to act a certain way in the videos. I think it is quite possible that the perp is how you describe him to be.

LE was very strategic in how they told SG to act and what words they told SG to say, possibly thinking it might have been SG's best shot to convey to the perp that she has been totally destroyed by the perp and that she feels utter devastation. The hope may have been for SG to appease this sadist, obscessive and sick guy and let him know that he has control over SG and she will do what he wants her to do in order for him to let SG know where her mother or her mother's body is.

Just as an aside, companies who are subjected to cyberattacks pay ransoms all the time so their systems can be cleared of the encrypted stuff the perps use to lock the systems. Ransomware attacks are paid. jmo

Which could mean an otherwise hacker upped the ante and gave in to his sadism. Would make sense with the apparent expectation of 'payment on demand or else'.

Agree. And he's had some great interviews. I respect him a great deal. I agree that he is probably just trying to find things to talk about until there is more information discovered or released.

Exactly. I agree with this.

I thought exactly the same thing. He wants to stay to be there when something breaks but absolutely nothing is happening. He is filming at the Sheriff's office with trucks in the background and standing at the house in complete darkness. I think he will stay one more week and head out.

Somewhere that day before I saw any pictures I saw a clip of the beginning of Jenna and Sheinelle's show (4th hour) where they had just come from seeing Savannah. Their intro was so touching because it was off the cuff and Jenna was about to burst into tears.

I wish NBC had left it at that. I didn't need to see those photos and when I did it felt not authentic, like staged even though I knew it wasn't. If they wanted to cover it in their news later in the day or especially that evening they could have just had one of the Today anchors say a few words about how everyone hugged her, so good to see her, etc.

I don't really think an NBC colleague/page/intern was responsible but creative thought!
Fairly certain that NBC had decided with SG the best way to approach her return and they decided together to do photos of her first time back with colleagues as a way to prep the public for her return to NBC and to help SG in her transition to come back to NBC.

NBC wouldn't do anything that SG wasn't totally onboard with. They'll likely be following her lead and listening to her thoughts about how she can best transition to returning to NBC.

RBBM

A hit person who is carrying out a job for someone who wants to cause even more agony for the person he's/she's looking to harm/destroy would take the body with him/her. The not knowing could drive a person mad and never allow the person to move on.

JMO/MOO
I understand the scenario you're painting but, IMO, normal people can't hire the kind of hitman you're talking about. Actually, let me back up. If someone told me to go find a hitman in 24 hours or I would die, I might as well start planning my funeral because I wouldn't know where to buy pot, much less hire a hitman.

IMO, the kind of hit person available to most people is an ex-con. They earn a few grand killing somebody's business partner and disappear. Or maybe screw up and wind up back in prison. It's a toss up. The mob makes people disappear because a body that never turns up is a body that they can't be tried for. Drug cartels make people disappear to terrorize people, or they just kill everyone to make a statement. To get that kind of hitman to kill NG and dispose of her body is asking them to take a big risk. And I suspect that would cost more money than the average person can come up with.

IMO

Photo of possible vehicle

<ModAdd: you can find the video here. As always.
https://www.newsnationnow.com/missing/watch-nancy-guthrie-home-security-videos-show-suspect/>
Thank you to everyone who has taken a look at the photo . The daylight photo of a vehicle with a satellite dish as a shadow showing a sign opposite Nancy”s added by another member is great because that could be reflecting a light , I just think if you removed the shadow of the satellite dish itself your left just with the shadow of a vehicle . Compare that with the photo I sent at night it is the shape of a vehicle not as a shadow . Just maybe . Thankyou again

Perhaps the messaging by SG on Instagram was by request of the ransom note writer. Also I would argue that the demographic that uses Instagram is not the same watching network television. JMO
Or FBI picked Instagram? I would think it would be easier for FBI to ping every IP address that hit that video on that site, then it would be to get information on every viewer on TV. We do know--she was speaking direct to the perp--we do know in order for him to to view it, he would have to create a fake account or use his own. FB and Instagram log where you are logging in from, so they could have used it to try to flush him out to no avail. Could the FBI be checking every IP in the Tucson area that accessed that video with the pacemaker sniffer? Perhaps.

I believe the initial ransom note and the followup were from the real perp, but were never meant to secure her return. Instead, I think it was done to make it more stressful for the family, and garner more media attention to her abduction. I don't believe the "send me bitcoin and I'll tell you who it is" notes are from anyone connected to the crime. I also think this was a targeted hit, and not from a lovesick stalker (sorry Napoli), or a foreign cartel, or for that matter, any immigrants, legal or otherwise.
As always, MHO.
Why do you think this was a targeted hit?

Do we know NG's height and weight? Has that ever been released?

I found it, 5'4" and 150 lbs.

The man who was shown in the camera, doesn't seem very large. Would he have carried NG out of the house? Dragged her?

In regards to the gun, is Arizona an "Open Carry" state? It is. And now, this is important about the "holster". A gun can be "concealed" in a vehicle, as long as it is in a "holster". That is interesting. Our kidnapper was very careful to follow rules for weapons. In case he was pulled over, he had the gun in a holster.

So, how would you get a woman that size out of the house? Tie her up? Fireman carry? Dragging? Why did he take her? There is something significant here. A method of punishment? He had a grudge against someone in the family? People can carry hatred for a long time. I remember the movie, "Cape Fear" with Robert DeNiro...he planned to come after the DA who had him incarcerated.

Can you imagine having that kind of income and not paying it for a 50/50 shot? The lifelong guilt for not taking the demand seriously?

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

JMO.
i doubt the odds are as high as 50-50. I might still have paid it anyway.

I don't regard AB and her source as accurate. She first came out and said that TC did it, because her source said so. To me that was reckless. If her source has proof or even if they have good evidence, they both should be working with the LE. JMO
I don't think AB ever said her source told her ''TC did it." IIRC, she said her source said that TC was the prime suspect at that time.

And I think her source was correct, at that time. But LE moved on.

The dress rehersal. He (they) knew exactly which house they were going to. Nothing was stolen, it wasn't a burglary gone wrong. She was the job.
