UnlessThe eyes look feminine to me but the body looks masculine.
Appears to be something hard black plastic sticking out of his pocket here?

well this could have just been the person who came by to stage a kidnappingwow. Just saw the images/video. So at least we know now, or I think I know now, NG made it home after dinner. And then some unidentified masked and armed individual (Male IMO) crept up in the wee hours and apparently broke into poor Nancy's home.
I’m not seeing a bun but in one pic looked like a fixture above head? The bun on the head. Photo # 3 looks like a female
The portion of the eyebrows we can see are a smooth line, imo. (if those are eyebrows). They are maintained brows, at least on the bottom. No stray hairs. To me this whole scenario probably points away from SIL.
However, I think this is a big man featured. Look at the height in relation to the arch.
Also, this is black and white/ night vision, so tints may be reversed a bit.
And regarding other posts saying eyebrows not being bushy and eyes appearing feminine, the mask and the lighting/footage both obscure and distort images.
We can’t see anything but a line of the eyebrows, from what I have seen.
Does the shoelaces look oddly laced? So I'm still running through a few parts slowly, I was able to get a semi-enhanced version of the gun, shoes, flashlight.

Interestingly enough, I don't see confidence. I see frustration and having to come up with a way to cover a camera that they didn't factor in? Or it was meant to be disconnected?I can understand the "ho hum" pace. It was pitch dark. The perp was certain he wouldn't be seen by anyone except through the camera, and he took care of that. The darkness gave him confidence, imo.
The gun in the holster is clearly positioned for a right hand person.I think he’s left handed. I’m left handed and I would have pulled the plant out the way he did.
Maybe a newly overly friendly hired worker?got comfortable fast?Video is near the end for those who want to view it.
So many questions! To me, this brings obsessed fan higher on the list of possibilities. NG was featured a lot on SG’s show. Good way to get SG’s attention.
But how did this person get inside the home? There was no sign of forced entry. And yet, did they seem surprised by the camera?
This is a great still of the photo. I could really see his face in the shape of his lips.View attachment 643361
Here's a still if you added color to the face. Obviously not 100% accurate but helps make the image a little more human.
If this isn't allowed feel free to remove.
Well, they knew cameras were present. That’s why they wore the mask that they are wearing.I can’t believe someone would go ahead with this plot knowing there is a camera present.
No way this is a woman IMOFrom the previous photos, I thought he didn't anticipate the nest cast. Here, I agree, the person seems that they are possibly aware of it.
What leads women to commit this kind of crime?
it does appear to be one. someone had suggested a tooth grill that reflected off a light but i think it's a flashlightIs he holding a flashlight in his mouth?
Seems female and about average height for a woman and 10-15 extra pounds. Good clues with their posture, gait, clothing, backpack, possible glasses, bizarre gun/holster...It's really hard to tell. The persons face is possibly completely obscured by masks and maybe doctored up around the mouth. I think height, weight, articles of clothing, posture would be clues.
Dbm.If I may interject re: the awkwardness of the movements? I am fairly convinced that this is a person wearing different layers of clothing to somehow hide their gender, shape, etc.
There is something about the hands and legs that looks as if there are other layers there. And the person doesn't look comfortable...they look as if their movements are limited by something; whether this is the weight and bulk of the backpack, the weapon tucked into the waistband, or (as I have done in the past when we lived in NM) wearing leggings under jeans because it was going to be cold while I was out at night...I don't know.
The movements are odd, the attitude towards the camera being there, and the very odd way of trying to cover it (after appearing to look for a key? among the pebbles)...not professional, but thinks he/she has checked off all the boxes of "knowing what I'm doing."
In my opinion, there was planning involved, but it got convoluted, the situation probably got out of hand, and we are now where we are still trying to figure this out.
Opinions galore.
Is that a phone in pocketSo I'm still running through a few parts slowly, I was able to get a semi-enhanced version of the gun, shoes, flashlight.

I don’t know. We have seen many perps prepared, who are not professionals. Sex predators. Stalkers. People murdering an ex or whatever. They come with masks, rope, etc.Am virtually certain this was intentional and professionally done. Probably a hire. No impulsive amateur is going to prepare this meticulously, act this slow and methodical, and when he saw the camera, remain steadfast and onward. No anxiety. No fear. No heightened sensory alerts or unstable reactions. Just "Oh, a camera. Better address that". Ho hum. He was at the house in which he was supposed to be.
And to further discussion - what was in that full backpack? Clearly came prepared and intentional. Tools to incapacitate? Cleanup? ID verification equipment? Communications equipment? Ransom note?
