It looked to me like he was looking for the step so he didn’t trip it over it. That’s why the flashlight is briefly switched on. Remember this would have been in the pitch black.
There was a full or close to a full moon that night. Moon provides tons of light in Tucson and one doesn't need to turn on lights to walk outside. Interesting why they used the flashlight - a step, better see how to get the nest cam off the door or . . .

Face looks strange. Very feminine. I don't think those are real eyebrows. My first thought was glasses frames, but I would think there would be a glare, plus too...obvious. I think maybe another mask underneath or eyebrows painted on. Maybe they learned from BK that eyebrows can help identify, who knows. They don't look real, especially not for a male. And yes, I know some men groom, but these look almost makeup. I think the mustache is fake too. My guess is they may have been wearing a crude disguise, even under the mask.

I think it seems professional. Not SIL. Not a random contractor who came back. Not a robbery. Not a home invasion in the typical sense.

Hard to say if NG opened the door or if he broke in. Did we ever learn anything about a forced entry? Nancy Grace mentioned in one of her early shows that something about the blood seemed to suggest Nancy was upright when she left the house, that the way it fell suggested a possible nosebleed. (No link, just memory, but she was only speculating out loud anyway.)

The pictures are terrifying. It's encouraging that SG came right and said they believe that Nancy is alive.

FBI director already scheduled to be in town is nice coincidence in timing. I imagine he may stick around for a bit.
I think it's two masks.

Now that LE/General public have a sense of the clothing of the perp, maybe a search could be organized for that?

I’m over 2,000 miles away from Tucson and yet those images are making me look over my shoulder.

I would presume that an elderly woman, living alone, would already be anxious with someone at her door in the middle of the night. She may have worried that there was a family emergency or some such.

Then to open the door and see this MONSTROUS creature at the door and she wasn’t able to ward him off….oh, Lord, how excruciating.

Yeah, tell me about it. I have a worker next door who's been glancing over on my side, and a cliff rescue or search in progress right in front of me. LE and helicopters. I'm tempted to go back to bed.

Please let these new pics and video info lead to identifying this creep, this is too awful. Feeling for the family....

I hear ya, I am limiting the word "confidence" to the cover of darkness, not to the entire endeavor. I think he was confident he wouldn't be seen because it is completely dark.
What came to mind was someone who is vaguely familiar with a location, but has been told "go there and look for this", and the light is insufficient making it harder to locate the "this" they expected to find. I wonder if, perhaps, they have found some sort of hide-a-key among those pebbles on the porch?

Opinions all.

I just can't get over the fact that the day before Nancy was taken, 2 hours away in Scottsdale, two teens with supplies, disguises, and tools committed a home invasion demanding 66 million in crypto. And were instructed and paid to do so by anonymous masterminds(allegedly). Then the next day some guy/girl shows up at a home in another Arizona city, also with supplies and a disuise, also at night, kidnaps Nancy, and ransom notes demand 6 million in crypto.

Coincidences and oddities happen sometimes, but I can't get over that.
I think possibly related,without a doubt

Family members are victims here on WS unless we're told otherwise by LE. Could you imagine being falsely accused of such a thing? :(

Perhaps that is the purpose? Perhaps that is what they were aiming for: this is now such a trope, that we won't stick out as much as we would in the past? "Oh, just some CBP personnel driving up late at night, headed home for a much needed break"? Something like that?
Yes, and that's a scary thought.

It has been for me.

Ok, I didn’t expect to come back here and find these terrifying new images. I guess I will post my theory anyway. It’s pretty basic. This is MOO.

IMO, I have felt since the beginning that the person who took Nancy was known to her. I believe they did some kind of work for her. She may or may not remember them at first glance, but they never forgot her.

My first thought was that this was carried out by a caregiver who was let go in the past few years or so, due to insufficient performance, personality conflict, or worse. Does Nancy even have a caregiver? I have an 89 year old family member who doesn’t have a caregiver, has her own home, but has a cane, still drives locally, and has an active social life.

If it was a caregiver, IMO she carried this out with the help of one or two males - (husband, family member, friend). This scenario also applies to housekeepers and others who did some sort of work for Nancy - landscapers, pool care, handy men, roofers, electricians, etc.

If Nancy liked paying workers by check, like many seniors do, IMO LE will have to look into what workers/businesses Nancy paid in the past few years through her bank statements and check book, which they are probably already doing.

Do any of Nancy’s friends/family remember Nancy complaining about a worker or business or even a neighbor, that she was not happy with, or had a confrontation with, or a worker who gave her the creeps? IMO this was an act of revenge. The big payback.
IMO LE might need to dig further back than the past six months, because grudge holders can sometimes be very patient people.

IMO, this person, grew to greatly resent Nancy over some perceived unfairness. Were they let go at a bad time of year? Was their work shoddy and did that became an issue?

IMO this act was not done for ransom. IMO the ransom notes were created by opportunists and they are all fake.

IMO this has nothing to do with SG’s celebrity. This was done by a person who holds a grudge over Nancy over some conflict. They were hateful and jealous of the good, comfortable life that Nancy has and were determined to take that away from her.
My theory. My opinion only. Thanks for reading.
This has always made the most sense to me

It may even just be someone she tangentally knew - the son of the landscaper etc who is just a perv - or a guy who worked at the neighbors and saw her out in her yard - Just a run of the mill bad guy/perv

What freaking nerve to just walk the hell up to her door and think all this was ok - so twisted.

This is a HUGE break in the case.

he could have crushed the camera with the butt of his gun, but had already stared at it, so idk why he held those flowers up, it's almost like it was a message of some

That's a great point. She went into her house through the garage, and this eerie person likely knew that.
If so, why go to all the trouble at the front door? He's walked up to it from somewhere.
And the yard is rock and cacti. Not easy to hide in. I'd guess he parked close by.

I would love to see a time stamp. What if he did this BEFORE she got home and was already in the house waiting? I don't think the times line up. Just throwing it out there as a very weak idea.
Yes, I wonder why they didn't address the time in these images?

Haven't seen this mentioned yet but given we know what the door looked like the next morning & there was blood on the stoop, did this entry maybe not work out and he went around to the back door that was allegedly left open? Remember, NG wore hearing aids and those were still at the home so I suspect hearing something at the door in a house that large would not be easy for NG

could the suspect have a grill or metallic tooth? i don't think there is a flashlight in his mouth, but something in his mouth is causing the light to reflect. imo it's a male.
It was a full moon that night so yes, I agree that it’s light reflecting off of something there.

See photo regarding the backpack - could look at stockists and recent sales?
