Just U.S Army doing training in the mountains. Highly doubt it's related. I work on black hawks and nothing stood out to me. Also Black hawk really has no use in a situation like this.

With respect, I fear that an AI reconstruction can generate a resemblance to just about anyone. A picture can be refined with all these filters until an image we WANT to see shows up, and there is the question of possible bias depending on the data that has been entered. Should we even be entertaining this as a resource?

In my opinion, and I AM old so factor that in, we should not surrender our ability to think things through ourselves to AI.

If NG did not use her front door regularly, a visitor could have unlocked it prior to Saturday night and she may not have noticed. Maybe that explains the lack of damage to the front door. It wasn't locked.

That's fair, I think there are people here with varying understanding of technology, which is understandable. In my opinion the tone was rude. Everyone communicates differently, though. Just thought it was unnecessary toward the OP, whoever that was. I'm sure they understand AI better now

It's always felt to me that he wasn't using the flowers to cover the doorbell cam because he didn't get them before approaching, and with all in that backpack he could have brought something that actually worked to cover it, like duct tape. Plus, you have to admit some flowers is NOT a very good camera block.

With all that said... it just feels to me like he was holding them out for the camera to capture them. Why? Absolutely NO clue. Only he knows why he did that. But, it feels to me like there was a purpose (other than trying to block the lens).

Maybe part of his communication to the family, that only he'd know, is "I held out flowers to the camera". That way LE knew they had the right guy that was communicating thru the ransom letters. It took a while before those images were released so that very well could be what the purpose of holding them up would be.

Wow! The flower part is so interesting to me! I’ve never looked at the flowers as camouflage nor have I looked at it as an amateur mistake.

I have to say, if Nancy is somehow alive and still being held hostage (which I hope is true, but still think is unlikely), all of this leaking about swat teams and elite hostage rescue teams seems like an awful idea. Why give the person holding her advance warning of a coming rescue attempt?

I don’t think him holding out the flowers he just seemed to randomly pull out of the walkway, at the spur of the moment, is some type of secret message to LE. That seems a little far fetched.

I believe they only did a $300 deposit to test if the transaction would go through, this is very common with bitcoin transactions especially when you plan to send a huge sum after that!

Harvey at TMZ seemed reluctant to give any info other than there was "activity" in the bitcoin wallet. So apparently it was the other news agency KGUN 9 that reported the amount is less than $300. Activity in Bitcoin account from ransom email; less than $300 in activity

Wth. Why is this being reported. All that does is potentially indicate that a big payment is still perhaps to be made, so maybe everyone on tv can stop talking about the mechanics.

I need to keep the rest in my head. Feels very irresponsible. I'm all for transparency but we don't actually have to be given second to second updates. This is not a tv show. There has got to be extreme risk.
