I agree the roads would be quiet. She probably left her property around 2 am when the pacemaker and watch disconnected from each other. Bars will be at least mostly closed by that time and most people are asleep at home.

I was able to use the Pima County Parcel Search site and her last name to locate the home. I don't want to share more details than necessary to protect the family's privacy but it can be searched. It showed that she owns a 0.97 acre property. In her neighborhood, the properties are generally that size and it is somewhat hilly so there are visual obstructions. The landscape is native with saguaros, prickly pear, and other plants that can grow to 10-20+ ft (the saguaros grow quite tall). So there is plenty of visual obstruction if you wanted to pull off the road and dump something. It would be difficult to drive through the landscape though off road, there's too high a density of plants.

This is her road, but to be clear not immediately in front of the house. It feels weird to post her address online, even as news agencies have posted photos of the home. I just want to give an idea of what it looks like.

In the summer here it is stupid (dangerous) to go hiking during the heat of the day and search and rescue constantly has to go out and rescue dehydrated heat sick people. So my impression is that there is a sizeable search and rescue group in this area based on demand.

Edit: planets -> plants
Yet they try to hike it all the time.

Is that smashed glass on the doormat? Right by the front door in the video. Gravel?

In this video from CBS it looks like - along with the blood - maybe the remnants of a bunch of flowers, or possibly a plant has been disturbed?

ETA: time in video 0.26

Re. the ransom note, does anyone remember seeing reported what the deadline given was?

My brain is telling me 'Thursday' but now I can't find that source.
I have not seen or heard the date of the deadline mentioned from the ransom note. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said today in the press conference that he would have another press conference on Thursday.

Could the devise have been connected to her wifi or mobile Hotspot and when she left the house the device was left without connection and went untraceable?
I'm not savvy on pacemakers, but , I think they got a lot of information off of her watch and the app that works the pacemaker. They really stopped searching for a live person early on. I don't know ?
I'm thinking the watch app gave them that window of when things happened ?

I’m calling 911 before I let LE in. They could be disguised as LE, anyone can wear a uniform.
ala Vance Boelter...

I don't believe in kidnapping and ransom. I would rather believe in rape, there are certainly cases where young men or teenagers rape and kill old women. But anyway, I think family and money are the motives.

Yet they try to hike it all the time. My son is an EMT.
It's the dry heat that's so deceptive. I've been to Arizona in the summer, a little hiking too. One dehydrates fast.

It does look like it could be flowers or a plant. I noticed it on the video and could not figure it out.

Good eye! You're right, those look like flower stems. A possible late-night flower delivery?

Alternatively, NG accepted a flower delivery for a neighbor earlier and someone popped over after she got home to pick them up?

Also note that it appears there may be an Amazon (or other product delivery) envelope at the lower right edge of that photo. (ETA: It is possible that mailer envelope was delivered in the past couple of days, not before or around the time NG disappeared.)

ETA: I wonder if NG kept a spare key under that pot in the small garden bed beside the door.

I think the link Massguy posted stated that the local station received it on Monday (ie about 24hours after the kidnapping). The TMZ guy says they received it 'this morning mid-morning'. I think that interview was today?

So no. Perhaps they want news coverage, and they weren't getting it, as someone above stated.
What was the route of receipt of the random notes? Electronic? Mail? Thankfully the FBI has specialized teams who can track things thought impossible by others. Hoping that will be the case here .im sure evidence has to be documented extremely carefully as well. At dome point this will end up in a court. Moo

very easy to get the address online...took just a minute. Over Million $$ home that they bought for $85,000 long ago.

Pacemaker and watch must have been connected by either wifi or Bluetooth for information to be sent between them right?

I’m pretty baffled by this case because I don’t want to believe the most likely, horrific (SA) scenario. I also don’t put much weight into the ransom note. However, today’s press conference gave us nothing. I realize this is likely very primetime drama, but could they have held the presser to communicate something specific to the abductor, maybe related to the ransom note?

brian entin mentioned a UPS or Amazon delivery while he was filming. Very surreal.

Do you see that purple thing in the pic? Wonder what that is.
